In the Arms of an Angel: Hey Tokoyami do you want to come up to my room to watch a movie? I recently got a laptop and bought "Train to Busan" as well and I thought you might like it.

-15 minutes later-
Tokoyami's POV

Kaminari and I finally finished our mini-boss fight, both of us mentally exhausted but still eager for more of this invigorating game. I look over to check my phone very quickly as the small animated death scene played afterward and Kaminari laid on his back, panting as if he had just ran a marathon.

I look and see I got a new message from Shouji...15 minutes ago?! I feel the chilling heat from my demise and the empty, abysmal  feeling of guilt rush up my neck and reach my face. I then look over to Kaminari.

"I apologize but I've got a text from Shouji, would you mind pausing the game so I can answer him?" I asked, considering it not that big of a deal since he may need a breather from the previous fight. He looked at me with a smug look momentarily before nodding and smiling, "sure thing, Tokoyami. I need a moment to catch my breath anyways. Have fun texting your boyfriend!" he said and rolled over to check his own phone. I glared at him, feeling the spark of heat on my face turn into that of a roaring flame, before opening the message. As I was reading it, I couldn't help the sickening feeling of guilt pool within my stomach as I quickly typed my reply:

Fucknugget: My sincerest apologies Shouji but I promised Kaminari we'd finish playing RE6 together and we wanted a fully immersive experience with no breaks. Although we are almost finished with it as of now so may I ask you if we could do it another time? I apologize for any inconvenience or darkness I may have brought upon you.

I waited anxiously for my reply that came much sooner than expected.

In the Arms of an Angel: Oh it's alright. We can reschedule another time soon. I hope you enjoy the rest of your game with Kaminari and good luck.

I let out a gentle sigh of relief as the guilt in my stomach lessened ever-so-slightly and a small but affectionate smile crawled onto my face. A hint of a blush may have been there as well.

"Fumi's got a cruuu-uush~" Dark Shadow slithered out of my stomach to taunt me in a sing-songy voice. I felt the heat on my face grow exponentially and some of my feathers on my cheeks even dared to ruffle up.

"As if we didn't already know!" Kaminari decided to butt in and also send a wink my way as well. I swatted him on the back of his neck and ordered Dark Shadow back into his abyssal domain. Dark Shadow blew me a kiss before making his exit and Kaminari let out a quiet chuckle.

I roll my eyes before replying myself:

Fucknugget: I humbly thank you for your understanding and once again apologize we couldn't have done this sooner. I promise to make it up to you. Also thanks for the good luck omen, I'll be sure to cherish it as we continue to play.

I send with a much more subtle smile as I flatten my feathers and put my phone back down.

"May we resume?"

Shouji's POV

To say Shouji was a little disappointed would be a vast understatement. When he sent his first message, he waited for what he thought would be a quick reply from his bird-headed crush, but ended up clutching his pillow nervously for a whole 15 minutes before getting his reply.

When he first felt the vibration of his phone, he felt a jolt of joy shoot throughout his body, ecstatic to see his reply. But, he soon deflated as he read Tokoyami's reply. Awful thoughts ran through his mind as he typed out his polite response, as soon as he sent it he felt the thoughts consume him.

"What if Tokoyami doesn't really want to hang around with me anymore? What if he prefers Kaminari? They've been becoming fast friends and..what if..he likes him?"

Shouji tried to push these thoughts out of his head, it was uncharacteristic for him to latch onto these thoughts, or even have them in the first place, but when it came to Tokoyami it was almost as if he completely changed.

But the reply he got from the short teen made him feel a little more hopeful, mainly the "I promise to make it up to you" section. He really wanted to see him, but he could wait a bit longer. It will only make the end result that much more satisfying. Still, he couldn't help but feel a little sad as he slid his phone into his pocket and made his way out of his room into the common room to relax with the more familiar territory of his friends.

As he walked in quietly, he noticed Bakugou and Kirishima studying on one of the couches over the tables. Bakugou was speaking in his always irritated tone and Kirishima looked at him longingly. Shouji was close with Kirishima, and he knew that he was currently passing his classes with little-to-no issues, so it was obvious to him that he was only doing this to have an excuse to hang out with Bakugou. He also saw Todoroki and Midoriya discussing what was possibly a conspiracy theory over in the mini-kitchen right next to the sink. He could see the obvious rose tints on Midoriya's face as he spoke quickly, a couple of stutters painting his speech occasionally as he spoke to his taller crush.

Despite feeling happy for his friends and that they got to see their crushes so regularly, the sad wave of loneliness splashed against him threateningly as he made his way into the kitchenette, where he saw Sero.

He looked very defeated, a little sad, holding a gloomy and almost forced smile on his normally bright face. Shouji didn't know what was going on with him but he felt obligated to help, as he normally did with all of his friends. He felt his own shoulders slump at the sight as he walked past a suspicious looking Mina to get to him.

"Do you want to watch a movie with me?"

Kaminari's POV

While Tokoyami checked his own phone to answer his blatantly obvious crush after me and Dark Shadow teased him, I look at my own phone to see a message from Sero. I felt my entire face go red as I read my crush's message.

Ada Wong: Wassup dude! I was just wondering if ya wanted to head out into the courtyard with me just to chill together??? I got something cool I wanna show you!

I smiled and stared at the message for a while, absolutely smitten. But as much as I really wanted to meet up with him, I made an oath to the Gamer Society to play through this game with Tokoyami with no breaks! After Sero had left to sleep the previous night, they decided to finish playing together, so this was obviously a very serious matter.

Leon "the S stands for sexy" Skennedy: Hey man! Sorry I can't hang today me and Tokoyami said we would finish this game with no stops! The only reason I'm replying right now is because we're at a cutscene lmao. I've made a gamer oath I can't break but I swear as soon as the game ends we can totally chill!

I sent the message with a small smile and tried to ignore the feeling of guilt in my mind. I got a quick reply though, so he didn't have a lot of time to think about it.

Ada Wong: oh that's cool dude, I'll catch ya later and be sure to tell me everything that happened afterwards!

I send the message swiftly back to him before Tokoyami calls to resume the game.

Sero's POV

The message sent bullet straight through my heart. I was planning on finally confessing to Kaminari after Mina helped convince me to...but he's hanging with Tokoyami right now, he's probably found him as a new best friend, maybe something even more.

I set my phone down slowly and walk sluggishly to the common room to get something to eat from the kitchen, trying to keep my regular smile on my face as I walked over.

Seeing both Tododeku and Kiribaku in the commons didn't help me in the slightest bit too.. I'm super happy for them but.. I just feel a bit more alone. When I walk into the kitchen I just lean against a cabinet for a while before I see Shouji walked up to me, also seeming a bit more low than usual. He then gestured back to the dorm rooms with one of his hands and spoke to me.

"Do you want to watch a movie with me?"

"Class 1-A"

Norbert: Did anyone else see a hella sad Shouji and Sero or was it just me?

Where'd ya come from Where'd ya go: I saw that too! I hope they're doing okay!

Kangaroo Jackie-Chan: Wait, Shouji and Sero??? But those two are normally happy or at least neutral.

Norbert: That's why it's so suspicious! And why did Shouji bring Sero back to his room?

Where'd ya come from Where'd ya go: They're going to watch a movie right now. Shouji really likes helping us so naturally he asked Sero to tag along since he seemed so sad.

Candyman: Wait, where are Kaminari and Tokoyami?

Bone hurty juice: As far as I know they're still playing their game. I went into Kaminari's room to ask for something and he said not to disturb them because they were having an "e🅱️ic gamer moment that should stay just between bros"
