everyone remembers the girl with the long red hair
THE YOUNG WITCH APPEARED in a poof of red inside the bunker, and grinned at the men who jumped up and pointed their guns at her. "I'm home, bitches!"
"Maddie!" Dean and Sam shouted, running around the table and pulling her into a tight hug.
Dean pulled back and ran his hands down her hair, "well, don't you look ready to kick ass."
Maddie chuckled and nodded. "This isn't just a sweet visit, boys. I'm here on business."
Sam furrowed his brows and fully pulled away from the redhead. "What did the Cullen's do now?"
The redheaded witch snorted, "not much, truly. It's mostly Jacob annoying me now. But that's besides the point," she waved her hand in the air. "So Hells Bells had a baby. A girl. Her name is Renesmee and—"
Dean scrunched up his nose, "what kind of name is that?"
Maddie narrowed her eyes while Sam snorted. "It's cute." She held up her hand, "anyways, Renesmee is in danger bc that stupid vampire cult I told you guys about before, well, they think she's a danger or whatever. So they're probs gonna try to kill us all." She shrugged as if that wasn't a big deal.
The Winchester brothers stared at her, blinked, and then Dean straightened his shoulders and nodded. "We got your back, kiddo."
She nodded and then smirked. "You're not gonna like who I recruit next." She snickered, amused with herself.
Both brothers looked confused for a second before realization dawned on the both of them at the same time. They looked at her like she was out of her mind.
"No," Dean shook his head. "Absolutely not."
"Oh come on, Dean-O, we all know I'm his favorite Winchester," she grinned, tilting her head slightly at them. "He wants to be in my good graces, and he will be happy to make fun of sparkly vampires."
Dean groaned and ran a hand down his face.
"You don't have to come with me to see him," she shrugged. "BRB."
And before either of the Winchester brothers could say a word, the redhead disappeared in a poof of red, just like how she arrived.
MADELYN SWAN LANDED in the middle of the throne room in Hell. She smirked at the demons that looked ready to pounce on her before they realized who she was, and they back down slightly. Her smirk spread out into a grin as she turned around to face Crowley who looked both surprised and amused.
"Oh, my favorite Winchester has come to say hello?" He smirked. "What do I owe the pleasure?"
She straightened her hair and pushed her hair over her shoulders. "I have come asking for assistance."
His brows rose up. "You... of all people... are asking for my help?" He was more amused now. "Oh, how you make the king of Hell's heart pitter patter, badger."
She rolled her eyes at his dramatic-self. "I don't necessarily need you, Crowley. But I have people I care about in danger, and the more strength I have on my side, the safer they'll be." She shrugged, crossing her arms. "And don't you owe me?" She smirked, raising one brow up at him in question. "After I saved your ass and your stupid throne when a few demons wanted to overthrow you?" She watched him, pursing her lips.
He sighed heavily and stood up. "You know I could never deny you, my favorite little badger." He clapped his hands and the demons that surrounded them straightened and moved robotically in a line. "You have me and my most trusted demons at your disposal."
She smirked, lowering her arms at her sides. "Good."
MADELYN LANDED BACK IN THE Bunker, a big smirk on her face, telling the Winchester brothers that she got what she wanted.
"I take it Crowley still can't say no to you?" Sam asked, amused.
For whatever reason, Crowley has always had a soft spot for the red head and is always there when she needs him. At first, it was concerning, but now they can see that the King of Hell sees Maddie as his sister.
The redhead grinned. "Of course I got my way." She always gets what she wants. Her lips then softened into a genuine smile. "Where's my favorite Angel at?"
"I gave him a call," Dean said after a second, a pink tint on his cheeks. "He's on his way. He said he has a surprise."
Sam groaned lightly. "His surprises are always the worst."
Maddie couldn't help but chuckle loudly in agreement. His surprises can go between finding a stray raccoon on the road... all the way to finding something that can end the world.
Just then, a knock sounded from the door of the bunker. The sound resonated the whole room they stood in.
"I got it!" Dean shouted and took off up the stairs and practically ripped up the door in excitement to see his Angel.
Sam shook his head, amused, sharing a look with Maddie.
"Castiel!" Dena exclaimed and went to pull the Angel into a hug before pausing and letting out a loud exhale. "How the hell—"
Castiel moved inside the building, revealing a person behind him.
Maddie's mouth was agape at the sight of the brunette behind Castiel, feeling shock and excitement at the very familiar face. "Oh. My. God!"
The figure smirked, "did you miss me, kitten?"
"Meg!" Maddie gasped out before running up the stairs and bulldozing into the brunette demons arms. "You're alive!" She pulled back and stared her up and down. "How the hell?"
Meg smirked and shrugged. "I was in Purgatory. I heard about Dean and Unicorn's daring escape. I had to manipulate and kill my way out. And boom, here I am!" She held her arms out at her sides while smirking.
The redhead smiled and pulled her into another hug. "My favorite demon is back, hell yes!" She shouted and turned around to stare down at Sam who was still in shock at the announcement. "Sammy! Look! Meg is back!"
Sam groaned and ran a hand down his face. "You two caused too much trouble before. And now it's going to get worse, huh?"
Meg and Maddie shared a smirk.
Castiel turned to Maddie, a determined expression on his handsome face. "What is it that you need my help with?"
Maddie nodded, game face on as she turned so she was facing both Castiel and Meg properly. "Okay, so..."
THE ONLY REASON THEY'RE PULLING up to the Cullen house in the Impala was because Dean simply refused to being teleported attempted without his baby. And because of that fact, it took them two days to arrive back in Forks. And in that time, the other Cullen's had already gathered their witnesses.
And yeah, Maddie could've teleported without them, but she wanted to chat with the brother and catch Meg up on the things she missed when she was dead. Said demon's powers were a little diminished since she just got back from Purgatory, but she's ready to kick ass which is all Maddie could ask for.
The redheads knows that this confrontation with the Volturi will end with a fight. She won't put it past them to play dirty, so she and her people have to, too.
Bella and Renesmee was the first out the door to see who was arriving.
"Auntie Mads!" Renesmee shouted as everyone got out of the cars. They watched in awe as Mae jumped into the air and landed in Maddie's arms. "You're back!"
Maddie smiled and kissed her head. "I could never stray too long from you, Mae. You're my favorite girl, remember?" She placed her back on the ground and ruffled her hair.
"Maddie!" Paul shouted in excitement as he made his way out of the house. He made his way over to the redhead quickly and wrapped her in a big hug, kissing her shoulder before slowly releasing her and turning to the Winchester brothers. "Hello again." He nodded, slightly grimacing when Dean rose a single brow at him.
Dean stepped forward and slapped a hand on Paul's shoulder roughly. "It's good to see you're sticking to your promise."
Paul nodded. "Of course. Always. She's my girl."
Dean patted him on the shoulder before walking past him, eyeing the rest of the Cullen's and others that began to file out of the house. He inhaled deeply upon seeing red eyes before exhaling loudly through his teeth. He swallowed the thickly before squatting down in front of Renesmee. "Hi there, kiddo."
Renesmee smiled and lifted up her hand to Dean's cheek. She showed the older Winchester flashes of her birth, of all the moments she has shared with Maddie, and then pulled her hand back. "Hi, Dean."
Dean looked up at Maddie, and then at Bella and Edward who stepped up behind their daughter. He breathed out and stood up, "wow... that is cool as hell."
"How is humans gonna help us?" One of the vampires asked roughly, stepping forward with wide eyes.
Dean straightened up and hardened his facial expression, but didn't get to say anything because Castiel stepped forward and said, "these humans are the Winchesters."
Multiple of the vampires broke out in murmurs, eyes wide as they took in the brothers who stood behind Maddie.
"You're not human," a blonde, Kate, stepped forward, eyeing Castiel. "I can practically taste you."
Castiel tilted his head. "I'm an Angel of the Lord."
Everyone was shocked, everyone except Paul, Bella, and Seth because they were told by Maddie who the people she loves are.
"There's no such—"
A vampire was cut off by Castiel's brightly glowing eyes.
"This is so cool!" Emmett fan-girled, eyes wide as he practically vibrated where he stood.
Meg rolled her eyes at Castiel's dramatics before she stepped forward. "And I'm Meg, a demon." Her eyes flashed black as she smirked.
Multiple gasps rung out.
"And you?" A guy, dirty blonde hair, stepped forward, making eye contact with Maddie who tilted her head at him.
"Garrett," Esme's soft voice spoke, making the vampire glance at her.
"My sister," Bella spoke, looking around at the group of witnesses they have gathered. "Maddie."
Maddie smirked, stepping closer to the rugged looking vampire, not breaking eye contact as her eyes glowed a vibrant red with a mist like texture flowing in them. "I'm a lot of things. Foremost, someone who will do anything for my family."
He looked impressed, in awe, actually... a lot of them stared at her in awe.
"You have the most beautiful eyes," a vampire, soft features, red eyes, brown hair, stepped forward, a friendly smile on his face.
Maddie turned her attention to him, and grinned back. "Thanks." The red slowly melted from her eyes and revealed their fake brown color. "Got it from my mother." She snickered to herself while Sam groaned. She then turned to face the Cullen's, "How many came?"
"Eighteen," Edward answered with a small smile. "That's not including them," he tilted his head at the Winchesters, Castiel and Meg.
"Is this all you brought?" Jacob asked as he moved from the doorway of the house, closer to them.
Maddie clicked her tongue on the roof of her mouth. "No." She pursed her lips. "Crowley and his minions will show up when we need them the most."
Jacob scoffed, rolled his eyes, and walked out into the woods.
Maddie rolled her eyes at him.
Seth smiled as he walked up behind Renesmee and placed a hand on her shoulder. He looked at the ones Maddie brought. "I'm so psyched to meet you guys. I heard so much about you from Maddie!"
Maddie smiled and reached forward, ruffling Seth's hair before looking out at everyone, taking in the familiar and the unfamiliar faces. Brows furrowing, she saw that two were missing from the group. Turning to Carlisle, she asked, "where is Alice and Jasper?"
The older Cullen sighed and inclined his head slightly. "They left. Probably to look for help. We do not know."
Maddie's eye twitched, then she sighed and nodded. She couldn't care less for them to be gone. But, she's angered at the fact that they left when Renesmee needs them the most."
"We'll all be on Aro's list now," everyone turned to face a man who stood on the roof, "centuries on the run. That's what you've brought me. Some friend you are, Carlisle."
"Alistair, come meet everyone," Carlisle offered, but the man shook his head.
"I already told you, if it comes to a fight, I won't stand against the Volturi," he said, his eyes narrowed as they glazed over everyone.
Maddie eyed him. "Then you shouldn't have come," her voice was firm. "If you're just gonna whine, you'll be of no use to us."
Alistair studied her for a moment before rolling his eyes. "I'll be in the attic." He disappeared from their view.
Esme looked at everyone with a frown. "He's not a people person."
"That's an understatement," Maddie retorted. She sighed and held out a hand to Renesmee who clutched it with a big smile.
Carlisle moved and turned so he was facing everyone. "I thank you all for coming in such short notice." He smiled at everyone.
Kate and Tanya stepped froward, sharing a look with one another before giving Bella and Maddie grimaces. "I'm sorry for Irina. We never thought she would do this."
Maddie shrugged. "She did it, and now we gotta deal with the consequences."
Meg sighed heavily like the dramatic demon she is, and stepped forward, eyeing Bella up and down. "So this is the sister?"
Bella straightened out, giving her sister a look that was basically asking, 'is that suppose to be demeaning or not?' Which Maddie shrugged at with a chuckle.
Meg hummed, reaching out and twirling a strand of Bella's long brown hair. "Nice." She grinned and swiftly turned from her to Paul. "And you're the boyfriend?"
Paul glanced at Maddie before nodding at the demon.
Meg looked him up and down, rose her brows, glanced at Maddie then turned back to Paul. She smirked, clicked her tongue on the roof of her mouth, and then walked right by him. "You know how to pick them," she merely said to the redhead. She paused briefly before she passed by Paul, and licked his cheek before cackling and walking into the Cullen's household.
Maddie snickered at the bewildered expression on Paul's face. "She's a little... intense... but she grows on you."
"Like a fungus," Dean retorted as he passed by them.
Maddie laughed loudly at that.
Even though it's under dire needs, she couldn't be more happy that all the people she loves is in the same area.
LATER IN THE day, Maddie was outside with Bella and Edward, leaning into Dean who had arrived from his trip to the store. They had just met Senna and Zafrina, two woman from the Amazon. Zafrina, they learned, had power over the mind, and could make you see whatever she wanted.
Except, it seems, that it doesn't work on Bella or Maddie who looked around with furrowed brows, trying to figure out what Edward was so in awe of.
"If she wasn't holding my hand right now, I'd swear this was real," Edward spoke up, his eyes searching all around him in amazement.
Bella frowned and shook her head, "I don't see anything."
Maddie frowned. "Same."
"Edward you didn't tell me your wife was a shield," Eleazar said as he walked up towards the group.
Bella shared a look with Maddie before looking up at Edward, confused. "What's a shield?"
Edward looked down at his wife in a new light, and he smiled. "The ones I've met are all so different."
"It's a defensive talent," Eleazar explained with a small smile. He turned to Maddie. "And clearly, you are just special."
"It's why I couldn't read your mind, even before," Edward added, glancing between the sisters, "why Aro couldn't."
"You both have a very powerful gift," Eleazar continued.
Maddie smirked. "I am a gift."
Suddenly, Kate appeared behind Bella, and grabbed her hand. A slight buzzing filled the air as she used her gift of electricity on Bella. "Oh, she's a shield all right. That should've put her on her ass."
Maddie tensed, only relaxing when Bella gave her a small smile.
"Or maybe you're voltage had been exaggerated," Garrett spoke with a smirk as he walked up behind them. Carlisle and Tanya with him.
Kate held her hand up and wiggles her fingers. "Maybe it only works on the weak." She grinned and wiggled her fingers some more, urging him to touch it.
The nomad stepped towards the woman, and lifted his pointer finger. Carlisle shook his head and warned, "Garrett, I wouldn't." His friend didn't listen, but instead continued to reach towards her hand.
When the two touched, Garrett's face contorted into pain, and he was on his knees in an instant. Then, he stared up a Kate with awe. "You are an amazing woman." He stood up to his feet and smirked at her.
Maddie rose a brow at that. She could see that he was enraptured by Kate.
Katie turned to Maddie, wiggling her fingers. "Wanna try?"
"It wouldn't work on me," the redhead said. She allowed the rest mist to be seen, displaying the fact that it lingers all around her like a shield. "Nothing can hurt me anymore."
Upon hearing barking and a lot of whooshing, they group of vampires looked into the distance to see Jacob and his new pack of wolves jumping through the clearing.
Two blur's passes them, and they watched as the vampires teased the wolves, one of them being Seth who was part of Jacob's pack along with the three newbies.
Maddie snarled and jumped into the air, a burst of red mist bursting from her. She landed in front of the wolves protectively, head tilted with red glowing eyes. "Who. Are. You?"
One of the vampire's has platinum blonde hair that looked like it was a knock-off of Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The other one had dark brown.
Carlisle and the others joined, and the blonde Cullen looked up at them in confusion but recognition flashed through his eyes. "Vladimir, Stephan, you're a long way from home."
"Why are they here?" Kate muttered.
The blonde spoke up in his Romanian accent, "we heard the Volturi were moving against you. But that you would not stand alone."
"We didn't do what we were accused of," Carlisle told them, narrowing his eyes.
The blonde rolled his eyes. "We do not care what you did Carlisle."
The brunette spoke next, "we have been waiting a millennium for the Italian scum to be challenged."
Carlisle sighed. "It is not our plan to fight the Volturi."
"Shame," The blonde tsked, "Aro's witnesses will be so disappointed."
"They'll enjoy a good fight," the brunette commented with a smirk.
"Aro's witnesses?" Eleazar asked, glancing over at Carlisle.
"Aww," the blonde stuck out his bottom lip. His red eyes were mocking as he stared down at the vampires, "still hoping they'll listen?"
Maddie stepped forward, watching as their red eyes took her in. "I'll end every last one of them if they try anything."
The newly arrived vampires smirked at her.
Maddie gave them one last hard look before turning to the wolves, specifically Seth. "You guys alright?" When they nodded, she smiled and nodded, allowing her shoulders to relax slightly.
Bella looked over at Carlisle. "We need to warn the others."
SOON AFTER THE Romanians arrived, the vampires gathered in the Cullen house. The news of Aro's witnesses came as a shock to everyone. No one had a clue of what to do, and the vampires had a new growing fear.
"When Aro wants someone from a coven it's never long before evidence turns up proving the coven has committed a crime," Eleazar spoke, looking over everyone.
"So, he's done this before?" Bella questioned, frowning deeply.
He nodded. "It happens so rarely," he said, "I never realized it was a pattern."
"Apparently he always pardons one person whose thoughts he claims are repentant," Carlisle explained, staring at the floor with a solemn expression on his face.
"This person always has an ability," Eleazar continued, "and they're always given a place with the Guard."
Maddie hummed, thinking of his obsession with Alice. "This is all about Alice," she crossed her arms as she thought about Alice end Jasper. "It must be why they left."
Emmett furrowed his brows. "Why does he have witnesses?" He asked, worried for his family and friends.
"To spread the word that justice has been served," Alistair spoke from behind Carlisle. He stuck his hands in his pockets as he continued, "after he slaughters an entire coven."
Silence enveloped the room.
Amun stepped forward with wide eyes. "Tia, Benjamin, we're leaving."
"And where will you go?" Edward snapped, surprising Maddie because she never thought he had the balls. "What makes you think they'll be satisfied with Alice? What's to stop them from going after Benjamin or Madelyn next?" He looked around the room. The redhead was surprised he cared about her. "Or Zafrina, or Kate, or anyone else with a gift. Anyone they want. Their goal isn't punishment, it's power. It's acquisition." He paused and shook his head. "Carlisle may not ask you to fight but I will. For the sake of my family. For the sake of yours. And for the way that you want to live."
The room was silent as the vampires all shared looks.
Dean stepped forward. And the fact that a human was ready to fight, and was the first to step forward said a lot. "I stand by my family no matter what." Sam was right beside him.
Castiel and Meg stepped forward; one with a face that was stoic and determined, the other smirking.
Paul stood up along with Seth. "The packs will fight. We've never been afraid of vampires."
The Denali's stood next, and Tanya spoke, "we'll fight too."
Garrett stepped away from the wall he was leaning on and smirked. "This won't be the first time I fought a kings rule."
Benjamin locked eyes with Edward as he spoke, "we'll join you."
"Benjamin no," Amun shook his head, sternly.
Benjamin looked at his friend and grinned, "I will do the right thing, Amun. You will do as you please."
Maddie stood tall, smirking. "This is what I'm talking about!"
Vladimir — the blonde — glanced around the room with a smirk. "Well, that didn't take much."
Edward nodded at them in thanks, "hopefully it doesn't come down to that."
Alistair only scoffed, and leaned forward to whisper in Carlisle's ear, "we'll see." He then walked away, the others watching him.
Maddie watched him go, rolling her eyes.
Bella smiled as she turned to face the Winchester's, Castiel, and Meg. "Thank you guys so much for coming to our aid when we need you, and to protect my daughter."
Dean nodded and stepped forward, pulling her into a tight embrace. "You're family too, Bella. And family is all you have at the end of the day."
Castiel nodded. "No one will harm your daughter, Miss Swan."
Bella smiled, not correcting him on the fact her last name changed when she got married. "Thanks, Castiel."
MADDIE WATCHED AS Kate attempted to teach Bella to use her shield. The Denali's had came up with an idea for Bella to help the rest of them fight — if she could project the shield.
And while Maddie could simply shield them if necessary, it wouldn't bother if Bella knew how to harness her powers.
Edward, Garrett, Emmett, Paul, Meg, Sam, and Dean were there also to watch and see if it'll work.
"You need to visualize it," Kate instructed the young vampire, "see how it moves. What colour it is. Now picture it expanding. Will it to go beyond you."
Bella closed her eyes, and the others watched as a small shimmer of sorts, leave Bella's body. It only went out for a moment, before she grunted and opened her eyes.
"I think she needs something to motivate her," Kate said with a smirk, turning to eye Edward.
"No," Bella said sternly.
"It's all right," Edward assured, "I can handle it."
"He says that now," Garrett stated with a grin and Maddie chuckled.
"Focus, Bella, or he's gonna be hurting," Emmett commented and nudged Maddie who grinned up at him.
"Edward, I'm not ready to do this!" Bella exclaimed, but the sparkling disco ball didn't listen as he reached out and touched Kate's hand. Bella gasped when her husband fell to the ground. "I'm sorry, I said I wasn't ready!"
"Dude you're not motivating her!" Emmett teased Edward, causing the vampire to shoot his brother a look.
"You want to try?!" He asked, causing Emmett to hold up his hands.
"I think I like you," Meg snickered as she fist-bumped Emmett.
Bella took a deep breath causing her shield to appear in front of her again. Kate reached for Edward's hand again, sending him to the ground once more. "Kate!"
"You seem to lack incentive," the blonde mocked, "should I go see if Renesmee wants to play with me?"
Maddie was no longer amused, eyes narrowing. "You better watch yourself," she growled out and Sam had to grab her before she pouncing on the blonde.
Paul reached down and entwined his fingers with his girlfriends.
"Are you crazy?" Bella growled out, as well.
"All right," Kate smirked, holding up a hand, "this one's on full power."
Edward sent his wife a look as he stood tall. Maddie leaned against Paul's side, waiting to see if Edward will be put on his ass yet again.
Bella pursed her lips, allowing her shield to cover Edward's body when Kate touched his hand. He visibly tensed up, but didn't fall as he did previously.
"Wow..." Dean trailed off, impressed. "That is the best thing I have ever seen. If only we had you on our side when we got in some trouble," he commented and nudged his brother who rolled his eyes at him.
"It's painful, but it's bearable," Edward informer and looked at his wife in awe.
Bella smiled, causing her shield to go away. "Okay," she laughed, "we should try again."
Edward nodded and faced his brother. "Emmett?"
The vampire who looked like he ate boulders stepped back, stuttering. "I'm good." He looked between Kate and Bella which had Maddie laughing loudly. "How about you try it?" He asked her with a small glare.
Maddie shrugged. "Okay." She knows her sister won't let anything bad happen to her. She closed her eyes, sighed and felt her own shield melt away. She nodded and opened her eyes. She stepped forward and glanced to Bella with a look before holding her hand up so that the blonde would touch it.
Bella concentrated and the shimmer appeared, and wrapped around Maddie. So, when Kate touched her, it didn't hurt as much as she should've.
Stepping back, Kate stopped her powers and Maddie smiled at her sister. "Good job, Bells."
