A FEW WEEKS PASSED QUICKLY, and winter was coming around quicker than anyone would think or wanted. Renesmee grew quicker and quicker, and now she looked five years old, instead of only two months old. The family was anxious about how long she would be with them, and everyone dreaded the answer.

Sometime during that time, the Volturi had officially welcomed Bella as a vampire. They had sent her a short letter, and a very luxurious Volturi necklace. And due to them not saying anything about how she was some sort of hybrid, it meant that they didn't know which was a good thing for right now. Who knows how they'll react to that.

Maddie and Paul were currently walking through the woods behind the Cullen's house, watching as Renesmee ran around trees, jumping and twirling.

Paul leaned towards Maddie, bumping his shoulder against hers. "What's going in that pretty head of yours?"

Maddie smiled and bumped her arm back against his. "Just that Mae is growing too fast for my liking." She watches and laughed as Renesmee twirled in the air, about six feet off of the ground before landing softly back on her feet. "Careful, Mae."

"I will, aunt Maddie," Renesmee said in her soft, fairy like voice before she did another twirl in the air, but this time, jumping onto a low branch on a tree. She sat down on it and then hung upside down, to where her face was just slightly a few inches above them. "Hi," she giggled.

Maddie smiled and immediately grabbed her, flipping her around before placing her back on her feet. Then, a mischievous grin lit up her face before she tickles Renesmee. The little girl giggled and squealed before speeding off, but she didn't go far; she went to hide behind Paul who was laughing loudly at them.

"Uncle Paul, save me!" She squealed when Paul swirled around to pick her up bridal style before he started twirling her.

Maddie smiled, a happy glint in her eyes as she watched her boyfriend be really good with a kid... her sisters kid.

Family is really important to her, so if her significant other can't get along with her family, she would ditch them in a heartbeat. To see him playing with Renesmee, and loving her like an actual uncle would and should, well... it makes her love Paul even harder.

Suddenly, Renesmee was holding her face in her hand while holding Paul's face in her other; flashes of Paul and her filtered through her mind.

Ones of when Renesmee was about two days old, and they were shown standing over her, fawning over her with big smiles on their faces. One where they're at the dining room table eating, and Paul randomly starting tickling her just to make her snort out some of her cereal. One where Maddie is sitting on his lap, head laying on his shoulder as he ran his fingers through her long red hair. One where they're outside, playing with Renesmee when she looked about a year old, life and love in their brown eyes. And one of just now, her hanging upside down, watching them stare at one another with so much love in their eyes.

Seeing them through Renesmee's eyes — someone who is innocent and still full of love and life and carefree nature — it makes Maddie tear up a bit.

Her and Paul are really meant to be together.

God, she loves him so much.

Pulling back from Renesmee, Paul and Maddie turned to one another, many emotions going through their eyes, but one stood out to both of them; unconditional love.

Renesmee looked between them, giggled, and then jumped out of Paul's arm to go back to running through the trees.

"Mae, be careful!" Maddie snapped out of her... thing with Paul to chase after her niece. While she might be a hybrid of some sort, she is still Bella's daughter after all, meaning she's prone to getting hurt.

"Ouch," Renesmee whined lightly as she accident tripped over a branch, but then she pushed herself back into a standing position, saw Maddie advancing towards her, and then jumped into a tree.

Maddie stopped and looked up, placing her hands on her hips, tapping her foot. "Come on, Mae, your mom might be wondering where you are."

Renesmee smiled at the thought of her mom, and jumped down, right into Maddie's arms. "Okay."

Paul was behind Maddie suddenly, and reached for Renesmee's hair and ruffled it slightly. "Come on, kiddo. Maybe we can play with that lego set papa Charlie got you."

"Yes! Lego's!" She exclaimed, effortlessly moving out of her aunts hold to jump on Paul's back. "Onward, puppy!"

Maddie couldn't cover her mouth quick enough before the giggle left her mouth. Paul shot her a look, but he was grinning as well.

He chuckled and shook his head before reaching for her hand.

The three of them slowly made their way back to the Cullen household; the couple holding hands, and Renesmee on his back.
