Sidharth put his hands forward to shake hands. But, the lady looked him doubtfully from top to bottom. So, Sidharth took back his hands in embarrassment.

Are you Shehnaaz's friend?

She asked keeping her hands crossed across her chest.

Yeah!!  I'm her friend.

He said excitedly. He had found someone who knows his lady.

Mm.. I'm Divya. I'm her friend too. You can just follow me. I will take you there.

She ordered with smirk and walked.

Ohh.. That's so sweet of you.

He balanced his bag and walked behind her.

She turned her head half way and observed him through her corner of her eyes once in awhile, on there way.

Sidharth stood in front of Shekhar like an obedient child. Shekhar who sat on the chair was looking at the way from field. As he saw Shehnaaz coming back with Meenakshi and Divya, he sighed and looked at Sidharth.

Shehnaaz tried to make an innocent smile as she approached them.

Hello Sidharth.

Hai.

They were behaving like, they were only just friends who rarely met each other.

Shekhar looked at both of them.

So why are you here?

He asked sternly looking at Sidharth.

Wo sir, I am here to discuss about the movie with her. Rajkumar sir asked me to have a meeting with her directly to decide about location and all, so that we can start the project immediately.

Sidharth said it in one go, like he has been byhearting it for days. Shehnaaz glanced at Sidharth in surprise. He was a very good liar, she thought.

Yes, nanu. Rajkumar ji had already informed me, but I forgot to tell you.

Shehnaaz added to make the lie more presentable.

Hmm.. Then you can stay in the room next to mine. Fresh up and eat something before your discussions.

Shekhar ordered and went out. Sidharth sighed in relief as he saw, Shekhar was out of sight.

Oh!!  By the way, Sidharth, this is Meenakshi aunty and haa.. You have already met Divya na.

Sidharth Smiled at both of them and they smiled back.

Sana, show him his room. I will be leaving and Divya, you stay here till Shekhar comes.

Divya nodded. While Sidharth rolled his eyes.

Sana, I will check if there is anything to eat in the kitchen for our guest or should I show him his room?

Divya stood there waiting for her reply.

Before Shehnaaz could reply, Sidharth interrupted.

Oh Miss, actually I have some important things to discuss with her immediately, so I think it will be better if Shehnaaz could accompany me.. Please.

Shehnaaz nodded controlling her blush.

Divya left immediately to the kitchen with disappointment.

Sidharth chod!! Koi aajayega.. Divya is in the kitchen, she might come.

Shehnaaz tried to get out of his hold as they reached his room.

Shhhh... Just give me 5 minutes. I was missing you so much baby.

He spoke while kissing on her neck. Shehnaaz blushed seeing the desperate Sidharth.

Sidharth!!  I missed you too.. But abb chod do.. If nanu see this, he will kill us.

Haa.. Teri nanu bhi bada chalak hei, dekha nhi kaise mujhe yehi room diya, so that he can keep an eye on me!

He said leaving Shehnaaz to unpack his clothes.

Tho nanu kiski hei! we are so sharp, you know?

She said proudly.

Sidharth rolled his eyes and took out a t shirt and pants to wear.

Tu nahake aaa, I need to join Divya, else she will get some doubts.

Ok baby!

Sidharth kissed once again on her cheeks before she left the room.

After having food, she took him to Meenakshi's house.

Sidharth, Divya was asking about you. She seems to be so much interested in you.

She stated keeping an innocent face, while walking on the way to Meenakshi's house.

Oh Shehnaaz!! Not again! Why are you  doing this?

Sidharth said shaking his head in disbelief.

What have I done? Just told about what she said.

She pouted cutely.

He grabbed her hand and dragged to a empty corner of the road. He pulled her close to him by grabbing her waist.

Do you still feel that I care about what others think about me? I only care about whether you finds me interesting or not. Hhmm??

Shehnaaz wasn't able to hide her smile. She smiled widely.

Sidharth traced his lips on her jawline.

Tell me! Do you find me interesting??

He whispered whispered in her ear.

I.... I don't!!

Shehnaaz giggled and pushed him away. Before he could catch her, she ran with a wide smile on her face. Sidharth smirked and ran behind her.

Shekhar was sitting in the long verandah along with Meenakshi. Shehnaaz had taken Sidharth to the Vaibhavi devi tree and haven't returned yet.

Brother, what are you thinking about?

Meenakshi asked seeing Shekhar gazing at the stars.

Have you met that boy, Sidharth?

Meenakshi fell silent for a second and then replied.

Hmm.. And I don't think they are friends.

Aah.. I do felt that. Whatever he told us was a lie and she too lied.

What do you think brother? Are they?

Yes. I can see. They aren't friends. They are in love.

What should we do now? They all are modern people. They won't believe in these villagers.

Hmm.. I know. If we...if we go against them, may be the history will repeat.

Shekhar sighed, while tears dropped from Meenakshi's eyes.

Meenakshi, are you alright?

Concern was clearly visible in his face.

Yes.. But I can't forget that day. If we haven't taken that decision, they might have been with us today .

She wiped her tears.

What can we do today, it's all fate.

At least, we can make it doesn't happen with these children.

Shekhar remained silent in thought.

Brother, now.. The only happiness I have is seeing Shehnaaz once in a year and hearing her voice once in awhile. I don't want to loose her too.

Shekhar stood up and walked through the verandah.

The sun was almost setting down. Darkness seemed to take over the light. He saw two people coming from the darkness to the light as they walked into the house, Shehnaaz and Sidharth.
