Sanaaaaa!!

Shehnaaz turned hearing the voice of Meenakshi.

Ooh, meena aunty, what happened? You should have told Divya to call me. What was the need of walking this long?

Shehnaaz placed the papers and pen aside and stood up.

I know you will be here only. So, how is your story going on?

Shehnaaz faked a smile. She hasn't said anyone in the village including Meenakshi and her nanu, that she was writing on Vaibhavi.

Doing good aunty

Yesterday, when I cleaned my house, I found something. I have told you that the old man died 4 years ago, right.

Hmm.. He was found dead here only na?

She looked at the big roots of the banyan tree.

Actually, a day before he dead, he had come to my house. He asked about you. He told that you were the only one who believed him.

Shehnaaz eyes became moist hearing that.

And he gave me something for you. He told me to give it to you when you will come back here. When I found him dead the next day, I found it a little strange. But, I thought not you disturb you, because you were busy with your studies.

Shehnaaz became curious finding a rolled paper in Meenakshi's hand.

I thought that you might have forgotten everything about Vaibhavi devi. But, from the day you came back, you are spending most of your time here. I think you should see this.

Meenakshi handed over the paper to Shehnaaz.
On opening it, Shehnaaz's eyes became wide. They were glowing like she had found some diamond.

It's Vaibhavi and Kripan.

Meenakshi stated with a sigh. Shehnaaz looked at her surprised.

Shehnaaz was grinning throughout looking at the beautiful picture. It was something beyond she had imagined.

Vaibhavi was the most beautiful woman that Shehnaaz had ever seen. Her eyes were like diamonds. Lips like rose petals, nose were perfect. Her hair was like the waves of a deep ocean, so thick and flawless. And... And Kripan, his eyes had entire galaxy in it. Everyone will fall for his eyes. How can someone doubt that they weren't in love? The way he looked at her, it said loudly that no one could have loved her the way he loved her.

Shehnaaz didn't realise when tears started flowing from her eyes.

Shehnaaz, are you ok?

Meenakshi patted on Shehnaaz's shoulder. Shehnaaz cleared her throat and wiped the tears.

Haa auty... I.. I don't know what to say... Thank you..  Thank you so much.

Shehnaaz hugged Meenakshi tightly.

Aunty, I.. I haven't said you one thing.

My story.. It's about them. I haven't told you guys about it because, I know what you all have in mind about Vaibhavi and Kripan. But, this picture.. It tells me to say the story loudly to the entire world. I want to do it for them.

Meenakshi doesn't said anything. She just smiled at Shehnaaz.

Shehnaaz again looked at the banyan tree.

Shehnaaz spoke through the phone standing near the verandah.

Yaar!!  Yaha tho network hi nhi milta.. I don't know when the call will get disconnected by itself. When I will come back I will show you. I am sure, I will comeback soon. I wrote a lot today, baby..

Sidharth hugged her teddy bear, which she had given him before she left.

Shehnaaz chuckled.

Oh.. What a funny! Jab shaadi hoga na, tab bhi mat batana tu.. Teek hei?

Yaar Sidharth! I have told you. It's not easy like dad and mom. He lives in a village like this. He doesn't even believe the story that I have told him about Vaibhavi. Then how do you expect him to accept my love story??

Kuch bhi ho, jaldi come back. Baki ham yaha aake dekhenge.

She smiled cutely and disconnected the call. She saw her nanu coming towards her as she turned.

Who was on the call?

He asked sternly.

My friend.

She said making innocent face.

Ooh.. I thought it was your Mom.

His face fell sad.

Ohoo.. How many times I have told you nanu, to get a cell phone. But you don't listen to me. If you had a phone, you could have easily called your daughters.

She said pulling his cheeks.

Aah.. That hurts sweetheart. If my daughters want to talk to me or want to see me, they can come here. If anything urgent is there, they can call to your friend Divya's house. I am now used to this life.

Nanu, but you used to live in town na? Then why did you come back here?

I went to town only for my daughters and for their education. When they got married, I came back to my land.

Shehnaaz smiled proudly. Shekhar lived his  entire life for her daughters. Just to make his daughters get better education, he left his land and went to town with his wife. They lived there until their two daughters got married to two gentlemen.

Shekhar's second daughter got married to an NRI. They live in America. They used to come every year to meet their families.

The one month with nanu and Meenakhi aunty really went fast for Shehnaaz. She had almost completed her work. May be because of immense love for both Vaibhavi and Kripan, she was able to write it so fast. She spent most of her time near the banyan tree. Meenakshi used to massage her hair with some ayurvadic oil. Shehnaaz accompanied her nanu, when he went to his farm fields. She loved to work with them, especially plucking the froots.

Ooh miss!!  Can you please tell me where is this.. Aah.. Yaah.. Shekhar uncle's house.

The man having a backpack on his shoulders asked an young lady standing near the tea shop.

The lady turned to him and narrowed her eyes.

Who are you? I haven't seen you here before.
