Unease

"Man, now I'm getting nervous." Mina whined, as buses from other schools began pulling up to the exam arena.

"Hey! There's nothing to be nervous about! You can do this, Mina." I smiled, giving her a reassuring pat on the back.

Mina sighed anxiously, before turning to me now.

"I still don't understand why you can't take the exam with us!!" Mina called out loudly now, gathering the attention from the rest of the class.

I looked around, noticing all eyes were on me, waiting for an answer.

I pursed my lips in thought, trying to think of something quick to say.

Great. Here come more lies from my mouth.

"Heh—Uh! Well, I told you! Mr. Aizawa said I'm not allowed to take the provisional license exam, since I came in late to the school year." I quickly lied, hoping Mina and everyone else would believe the excuse.

Ochako chimed in now....but not with the response I was hoping for.

"That's ridiculous, Margo. You only came in like a month after school started. I'm sure if you talk to the director of the exam, he'd let you take it today." Ochako suggested, grabbing my arm to lead me inside the arena.

I chuckled nervously now, quickly getting out of her grasp.

"No, no! I'm seriously fine—" I quickly said, before Iida jumped in now.

"Margo, I'm with Uraraka on this one! As class rep, it is my duty to ensure that all of class 1-A receives fair treatment. I will escort you to speak with the exam director immediately." Iida called out, stiffly pointing his arms at me.

I cringed in slight stress now, trying to think about how to counter that offer, when....

"Oi, four eyes. Enough of that." Bakugou started off, coming over to me now.

Everyone was quiet, shocked that Bakugou decided to jump into this conversation.

No one was more shocked than I was.

I raised a curious brow at Bakugou, letting him continue.

"If Mr. Aizawa says she can't take the exam, then leave it at that. No need to make a big deal out of something that's not your business. Focus on yourselves if you wanna pass. Not other people. Tch, dipshits." Bakugou spat, surprisingly calm when he spoke.

Everyone was quiet for a moment, taking in his words.

"Yeah, that's true....I guess." Ochako shrugged, before everyone else slowly nodded in agreement.

I'm sorry everyone. I'm sorry for always lying to you.

I know it's getting old.

I breathed out a sigh of relief, once the class moved onto a different topic of conversation, slowly turning to Bakugou now.

"Thanks for that. I'm really grateful—" I started whispering, before he quickly cut me off with a groan.

"Will you shut up already, Flat Chest—I mean, Margo? It's not a big deal. I'm just repaying a debt I owe you, for saving my life. That's it." He scoffed, aggressively averting his gaze to the side.

I laughed softly, wanting to give him a little shit now.

"Haven't you already repaid me enough, by trying to track me down when I went missing for three weeks? Look. Obviously, we're becoming best friends and you don't want to admit that yet. That's okay. I'll wait." I smirked, starting to walk off.

I quickly stopped, when Bakugou grabbed my wrist, looking back at him.

"Dumbass, you'll wanna cover that up." He mumbled, subtly gesturing to the scar on my wrist from Shigaraki.

Another present the league of villains gave me.

So why do I continue to put myself through this torture?

I'm not really sure anymore...

My eyes widened, as I quickly pulled down the sleeve of my black hoodie, giving him a grateful nod.

That was the second time today Bakugou saved my ass.

Ever since his kidnapping with the league of villains, he has been a lot nicer to me. A lot.

I'm actually starting to think we're real friends now.

I began scanning the crowd, not seeing Eijirou.

That's weird, he went to the snack bar ages ago. Why isn't he back yet?

"Hey, did Kirishima ever come back?" I asked Bakugou absentmindedly, scanning our class one more time.

"No. That fatass is probably still eating his feelings away at the snack bar. He seemed pissy this morning......but, you wouldn't happen to know anything about that, right?" Bakugou smirked, shooting me a snarky look, like he knew something was up between us.

That's right. Eijirou and I were still a little annoyed with each other from our fight last night.

It's not a big argument, we just haven't had a chance to talk things through.

And with his exam coming up in a few minutes, I don't want to bring up anything that could make him lose his focus.

But even so, he should be back by now. The exam is going to start soon.

"Hmph. I'm gonna go look for him." I mumbled, brushing past Bakugou to go find Eijirou.

"Do whatever the fuck you want. You don't have to tell me! I'm not your damn keeper." Bakugou retorted from behind me.

.......

"What the hell?" I mumbled to myself, as I passed the snack bar.

It was completely empty, and there were no signs of Eijirou anywhere nearby.

"Attention all provisional license exam takers, please be at the starting point in ten minutes." A tired voice drearily announced over the speakers.

Damn, what's with that guy's voice? He sounds tired as hell.

But more importantly, Eijirou was set to take the provisional license exam in ten minutes, and he was nowhere to be found.

"Eijirou?" I called out in the empty hallway, hearing nothing.

I sighed anxiously, glancing at my phone to check the time.

I continued walking, starting to faintly hear voices at the end of the hallway.

I furrowed my brows in curiosity, walking faster, now being able to hear the conversation.

"Come on, baby! What do you say? I could make you feel sooo good." Some girl cooed out behind the corner of the hallway.

I scoffed lightly, rolling my eyes at the conversation.

What idiot would actually hook up right now?

I quickly turned on my foot, starting to walk away from the conversation around the hallway corner....

When something caused me to stop abruptly.

"Will you get off me, already!? I already said no! I have a girlfriend—shit! How are you so strong!?" Eijirou called out irritatedly.

My eyes widened, as I quickly turned back around, storming around the corner of the hallway.

I grit my teeth in irritation at the sight.

Eijirou was pinned up against the wall, with some girl in a tight, black bodysuit pressed up against him.

Eijirou was struggling, trying to push the girl off, before his crimson eyes shifted up to me.

Upon seeing me, he looked like he was about to shit his pants.

"Well.....what's going on here?" I asked, not being able to hide the slightly hostile tone in my voice.

"A-Ah!! Margo—shit! I know this looks bad! Nothing happened, I swear!" He quickly babbled out, causing the girl to turn around now.

I narrowed my eyes at her, before seeing her uniform.

This girl was from Shiketsu high school.

The blonde girl's eyes widened, before she sprinted over to me.

"Margo!!!!" She exclaimed, throwing her arms around my neck tightly.

My eyes widened in pure shock, completely taken aback by the affection.

My body immediately tensed up, as the Shiketsu girl squeezed my body tightly, swaying back and forth with me in her arms.

"W-What the hell!? Margo, you know her?!" Eijirou called out exasperatedly, completely confused by this whole situation.

"Not at all." I called back, my voice coming out muffled from the blonde girl's hair that was flying into my mouth.

Upon hearing my words, the Shiketsu girl immediately halted her hug and released me, giggling maniacally.

"Hah!! Oh right!! No, no. Margo and I don't know each other." The girl laughed out, before quickly shooting me a wink.

"What...is happening?" I asked, more confused than angry at this point.

The blonde girl took my hand in hers now, looking directly into my eyes.

"Margo....I'm Camie, from Shiketsu high school. I am sooo excited to check out what you heroes in training do for fun around here." She exclaimed, giving me a wide, creepy grin.

Eijirou and I looked at each other with unease, before looking back at this Camie girl.

Something about her definitely seemed off.

"Welp, anyway! I've gotta get going to go do this exam thing. I'll see you later, Kirishima." Camie quickly said, already skipping off down the hallway.

I thought she was done, before she quickly turned around.

"Oh!! Hehehe and bye, Margo!" She giggled, before leaving for good.

As soon as Camie left, Eijirou turned to me, starting to babble rapidly.

"Margo, I didn't do anything to lead her on. She literally grabbed me and slammed me against the wall. I would never cheat on you like that. Cheating isn't manly. Plus, I'd never want too—" Eijirou quickly said, before I cut him off.

"It's alright, it's alright. I saw the whole thing. I know you didn't. I don't know what that girl's problem is." I muttered, leaning against the wall now.

Eijirou sighed in relief, leaning against the wall across from me.

We were both quiet, the air between us still being slightly tense from last night.

While I wanted to talk to Eijirou, I understood he couldn't right now. He needed to go take the provisional license exam.

"I should head over to the bleachers to watch your exam. Good luck, okay?" I sighed, giving him a small reassuring smile.

I still wanted him to do really well on this exam.

"Margo, wait." Eijirou groaned, quickly catching my wrist.

"Five minutes until the provisional license exam." The tired man called from the speakers above.

I turned to Eijirou now, not wanting him to have any distractions.

"Hey, it's alright. So, you and I don't agree on something. It's not the end of the world. It's normal for couples to fight, okay? This isn't important right now. What is important, is that you go out there and kick some serious ass....and feel free to give Shiketsu Camie a slap in the face for me, if you see her." I said, trying to lighten the mood a little.

Eijirou smiled softly at my words, giving a small nod of understanding.

He was about to speak, before Kaminari came barreling around the corner.

"Dude!! I've been looking for you everywhere! The exam is about to start, man! Hurry up!" Kaminari yelled, grabbing Eijirou's arm and dragging him towards the exam room.

"Good luck, you guys!" I called out to their fleeting figures, before heading over to the stadium bleachers to watch.

Eijirou, I know you can pass.
