Aphmau's POV

I gently lay a sleeping Lilth in her crib, her tiny chest slowly raising and falling. 

She had her little hand in a fist and I dragged my finger up and down her knuckles. 

I was looking down on her, smiling, though sad she might need to go soon. 

To find a proper family.

I felt two arms snake around my waist. 

I smile and lay back. 

I feel lips on my forehead. 

"I got news from the adoption agency..." He whispered, sadness sunk through my body. 

He must have noticed, because her held me tighter then said.

"They said we can keep her..." I turn around, still in his arms, I laugh then shush myself so Lilth won't wake up.

"Daddy...." Lilth said, her small voice high pitched and super cute. 

We both gasped, her first words. 

She was only 8 months. 

Aaron reached over the crib and smiled and laughed. 

"Yes princess?" He said in a smooth voice, tickling her feet. 

She giggled but eventually fell back asleep. 

He gently placed her back in her crib

Aaron looked up at me and gently placed his lips on mine. 

I kissed back. A warm feeling surged through my body.

We continued to kiss and while still holding onto the kiss, he started to push me on the bed.

I didn't hesitate this time. 

I am in love with you Aaron Lycan.

Aaron's POV 

I woke up the next morning to the blinding light of the sun, shining through Aph's bedroom window. 

I looked at the crib, Lilth still sound asleep, then to Aphmau, no different. I got out of bed and put on my hoodie and jeans. 

I went downstairs and made crispy bacon and juicy eggs, then prepared Lilth's formula. 

I heard a ding from my phone and plucked it up, it was from mom.

By the way, Aph and I determined the blocked number to be a glitch.

Aaron's mom-...........Aaron.....we need to talk.....call me...

I press the phone icon and the phone dials. 

My mother picks up.

M=Aaron's mother A=Aaron

M-Son, you do remember what I told you about your father?

A-Yes mom....why?

M-You are sadly coming of the age that your father wants you to take over the Shadow Knights..

A- I know mom and I'm not going to go along with it....

M-..........

A-Mom?

M-Aaron....you are now raising an adoptive child with your girlfriend..right?

A-Yes....why does that factor?

M-Aaron...your father will use them on you.....He will find them and hurt them if you don't cooperate...

Anger surged through my entire body. 

I won't let anything happen to them.

A-What should I do?

M-say your goodbyes then leave....and never look back..
