Medieval Malice
Back outside, the crowds were screaming and running, trying to avoid being harmed. Wanda walked in and out of fleeing tourists, trying to catch up to her friends. They were all frozen, being completely shocked by the freaky display of abilities that their neighbor had revealed. Their eyes in complete fear as Wanda steps toward them. "No, no, don't come any closer" they demand in fear.
"No, just... please let me explain" Wanda begs as she slows her pace, trying to ease her way over.
"I think you're a little late for that" one of them shout. Wanda could feel the trust and respect leaving their relationship. "I didn't mean for you to learn this way," she tries to explain, "can't we just talk this out, like normal people."
"But you're not normal Wanda," another said. "You're a freak, a freak that probably manipulated us to like you." These words made Wanda's heart sink, to think that she was being the best version of herself and make a human connection with strangers, was now being called manipulation. "How do we know you weren't going to sell us to the devil or something. Just... don't come near us again, please... for our own safety."
Wanda's mouth quivered, and tears started forming in her eyes from all the thoughts and emotions overwhelming her. As they turned to run, she fell to her knees in sadness. She was truly alone, probably the most she had been since she last saw Cap and the gang. She wished that she had never done this. Never had decided to live on her own. Never had tried to figure things out by herself. Never had called..., "Vision!", she said in a low whimpering voice that hinted at some darkness. Her eyes went red, her teeth grinded, and her heart and mind filled with rage. She got to her feet and stomped her way to the large hole in the castle wall.
Vision appeared before she could reach it, and she wasted no time controlling his density. Red hazes accumulated around Vision's synthetic body. He can feel her forcing his arms to fold behind his back, bending his knees til he was kneeling before her, and the overall helplessness he felt as she stood over him with tears running down her cheeks.
"Wanda..." he pleaded, barely letting out a whisper, "... please."
Her lips quivered, "You ruined everything..." sniffling briefly. "You, Vision... who I trusted more than anyone with this. You ruined it." She rose her left hand, a fiery scarlet magic glowing around as she prepared to inflict damage on her former teammate. She breathed quickly, mentally readying herself to strike him, when the ground started to shake a bit. She looked to the ground, as if the cause of the shaking were under her feet. When it wasn't there, she noticed something out of the ordinary in the hole of the castle. A growing green light that culminated into an explosive burst of light that wrecked the rest of the wall. The blast sent Wanda and Vision back a couple yards. A few slabs of stone piled on top of Vision, while Wanda was hit in the head a couple times and one large slab pinned her right leg against the ground.
The explosive green cloud expanded over the courtyard, gaining the attention of many bystanders and tourists. Many of them still recording with whatever video capturing device they had. The cloud gradually floated into the air, revealing the destruction of the remaining foundations of the wall. Large pieces of stone piled on the ground, a few banners rustled up and sprinkled with dust. And as the smoke became clear, a lone human figure gradually rose into the air.
Her long black hair flowing wildly in the wind, her garments clinging to her body as the breeze tried tugging it away. Her eyes were slightly glowing a misty-green. She looked around, catching the view of an unfamiliar world, as if she was in a dream, or a nightmare. She brought her hands up to her face, making sure she wasn't imagining everything. She felt the bitter coldness of her cheek start to warm-up from the bright sun as it surged its way through the remaining smoke. The dry texture of her skin soon turned soft, easing her into the realization of what was happening.
"I'm back" the stranger whispered to herself, still in a bit of shock. She descends to the ground, beyond the damage she had caused. Wanda, still trying to release her leg from a pile of stone slabs, gets her first look at the newcomer and is filled with astonishment and confusion.
Landing her bare feet on the lawn of the courtyard, the strange green-eyed woman lets out a grateful sigh, forgetting how soothing the natural touch of grass can ease your worries. Suddenly, a few of the Task Force soldiers come out from the scattered debris, holding the stranger at gun point. "Stop right there! Put you're hands up!" were among the many commanding statements they shouted at her, making her uneasy.
"Who do you think you are?" she snorted, her voice accented in an Old English styling. "Commanding me into submission like you own me." The soldiers stayed silent, still aiming their weapons at her. "I am Morgan Le Fay: High Priestess of Tintagel Castle, Lady of Camelot. No one tells me what to do." She took a step forward, and the soldiers deactivated the locks on their triggers, prepared to shoot.
"We don't care who you are lady" one of them said, clearly trying to sound composed, "surrender now, and there won't be any trouble."
"Oh-h-h-h-h," she chuckled, "you misunderstood me mortal. You see, I've been waiting a long time for my return to this world. And I won't let single-minded fools such as yourselves get in my way." She snapped her fingers dramatically, leaving the soldiers fearful of what would happen. Suddenly, they each collapsed to the ground. Some reaching for their stomachs and others for their throats. Their skin turned pale with small infectious spots appearing out of nowhere. She left the one soldier unharmed to watch his men suffer through the plague she had cursed them with. They choked and jittered on the ground, clawing for any ounce of life they could grasp, until they all fell fatally motionless.
The lone soldier stood above them in complete shock, his breath restless as he processed what he had witnessed. In his state of shock, he looked back up to the crazy sorceress that had wiped out his entire squad. To his surprise, she was not there. Fear and turmoil took over his body as he frantically tried to figure out where she went. His senses went sharp, blocking out any other sounds to hone in on any sound she would make.
Suddenly, Morgan came from behind the soldier and plunged her long nails into his skull. The soldier screamed loudly, feeling her sharp tips poking around in his brain. He exhaled painfully, his jaw shaking the further she dug into him. "Now," she relished, "let's see if you can be of any use to me." In a swift move, she elevates herself off the ground and wraps her free arm under his neck and places her hand on the right side of her victim's head. The soldier squirms as her hands start glowing a misty-green color and begin to extract information and knowledge of the world's history from his mind.

Some thirty yards away amongst the rubble and debris, Vision phased from his stony prison and into the dusty air around the destruction. His first thought was to find Wanda, but it was immediately interrupted by the painful moaning and groaning of one of the soldiers. He floated forward to the screaming when his name was muttered from behind a few chunks of stone. He turned to find Wanda lying on her side, her right leg pinned against the ground by a large piece of the wall.
"Are you hurt?" he asked softly.
"I'll be okay" she groaned, "once I free my leg." She tried pulling it out once more but found it just as useless as before. Vision stepped closer and slid his fingers under the large slab and gripped it tight. Using every ounce of strength he had, the slab rose high enough for Wanda to slip her leg to freedom. She exasperated as the initial sting surged in her leg and up through her body.
"I... I don't think I'll be able to walk for a while" she huffed, earning an expressionless face from her former teammate. The screams of the soldier rang out across the courtyard, and the two looked at each other wondering what was going on.
"Wanda..." Vision broke silence, "... I didn't mean for any of this to happen." Wanda rolled her eyes, still hating him for breaking her trust and using her vulnerability to his advantage. "I didn't tell anybody about you. Ross found out on his own, probably even had me followed."
"It doesn't matter now," she replied somberly, "the life I worked so hard to keep secret is now ruined." The screams continued, shifting Wanda's attention. "Whatever's happening out there, people's lives are being ruined" she explained with a point of her finger. "Why don't you stop worrying about my life and start helping those that still have one." Vision was heartbroken, his feelings for her shattering with every word that came out of her mouth. Even Wanda, upset as she was with him, felt their relationship crumbling as hard as the stone wall that once stood behind them. Vision remained speechless as he stood up and floated to investigate all the screaming on the other side of the courtyard.

Morgan ceased her search for knowledge in the soldier's mind, realizing that she had been imprisoned for over fourteen-hundred years. She learned that civilization has expanded since she had left, and that humanity had become more simple-minded than before.
"How wonderful," she gloated, "in my absence, you've become as mindless as the machines and tools you depend on." She felt her purpose for returning more necessary, feeling that her last lessons would enlighten the trivial minds of modern humanity. "After I'm finished, humanity will gladly be put back to order, or cease to exist."
The soldier's eyes went wide at this statement, particularly the comment about human existence. Morgan felt his expression and brought her cheek against left cheek, brushing it suggestively to pleasure herself. "Thank you for your assistance," she said soothingly, "it's a shame you can't be of any use to me anymore." She turned her head to face his cheek, the tip of her nose nuzzling against his skin and her warm breath sending tingles down the spine of the paranoid soldier. "I always did like a man that refused to die." She pushed her face forward and seductively planted a kiss on his left cheek. She moaned tenderly as her lips sucked on his skin, causing the soldier to groan uncomfortably. She parted her lips from his face, and without warning, swiped her free hand on the other cheek across his throat, leaving a large hole in his neck and killing him.
Morgan removed her nails from the soldier's head and let his body drop to the ground. She took the side of her raggedy gown and wiped the drops of blood off her fingers, not worrying about ruining her appearance. Suddenly, she noticed a floating figure above where she stood. In fascination of the sight before her, she floated up toward it, revealing a caped man with green skin and a purplish-red face.
Vision stared smugly at the approaching sorceress, maintaining his posture in the air. "You didn't need to do that" he said as she came to his height.
"Oh, I know," she replied with a smirk, "but sometimes I can't help myself with well-built men." She gave a quick chuckle at her excuse, eyeing the strange-looking humanoid up and down. "Speaking of which, how well built are you? I've never seen someone as interesting as you."
"This is your last chance to surrender!" Vision stated firmly. Morgan answered with an annoyed tongue in the cheek. With out hesitation, she snapped her fingers again, trying to plague him like she did with the MI:6 soldiers. When Vision didn't curl-up like before, she soon realized that she wasn't dealing with a normal man. She floated toward him quickly, swiping her nails across his throat. When she finished, she was on the other side of Vision. She turned around and realized that she had gone through him. Her face perplexed, questioning how any of this was possible, and getting a little frustrated that her powers were being leveled by an oddly-colored floating man.
In the midst of her confusion, Vision saw an opportunity to strike and zoomed in quickly, making his density strong. On impact, Morgan was sent flying toward the remains of the wall she had destroyed. She groaned at the sizeable pain in her abdomen, astonished that someone had been able to strike a blow to her. She held herself to the side of the wall, stuttering as she conversed with her assailant. "What... are you...? No man can defeat me."
"Maybe," Vision commented confidently, "but I take it you've never encountered an android before."
"Andriod?!?"
"Once again," Vision commanded, preparing to blast her with his mind stone, "I ask that you stand down now, before anyone gets hurt here." The stone grew in light and Morgan grew more fearful of defeat, and angrier at her humiliation.
"It won't matter, android," she quivered, shaking her head in confidence that her promise will be fulfilled "The darkness will soon rage over the Earth, and everyone will endure my wrath as I promised centuries ago." And with that final threat, Vision fired a blast from the stone in his head. Morgan braced herself against the wall, overwhelmed by the oncoming beam of energy. Thinking quickly, she summoned some magic and zapped herself away. Vision saw this, and cut his blast, wondering where she had gone to.
The moment passed, and Vision floated back towhere Wanda was, only to find the few remaining MI:6 soldiers holding her atgun point. Wanda didn't bother resisting due to her injured leg and surrenderedwith her hands above her head. As a few soldiers cuffed her and hoisted heronto a gurney, Vision watched from the air with his head hung low, wishing hecould take everything back.
