13. Cookie dough ice cream is so magical

"Come on, you have to go to the Winter formal." Rebecca was almost begging at this point.

"I don't know. It wouldn't be the same without you. Besides me and Elliot are no longer a thing." I grin.

"Don't even say that retched name around me again," she glared.

Nodding in agreement. Anything to do with Elliot is out the nearest window and in a shredder. Preferably near a garbage dump.

"Theo kind if cute. Maybe he'll ask you," she smiles wide.

"Theo and I are just friends, besides I have a feeling you like him."

"I do not!" She yelled. Making me bust out into a laughing fit.

The sound of someone knocking on my door stopped my laughter in its tracks.

"Who's that?" Rebecca asked with a smile, raising her eyebrows.

"Hopefully no one semi-important." I grin. "I'll be back."

I rolled off my bed. Koda who was laying next to me, lifted her head to see what I saw doing. He then followed me towards my front door, sniffing the air.

"Who is it boy?" I asked right before opening the didn't door.

After he barked I opened the door. Not prepared at what was on the other side. I was definitely not prepared.

Shiny silver streamers hung up in the apartment hallway. Tiny stars decorated the floor, surrounded by tons of glitter. My eyes darted upwards to see Theo holding a giant, glitter filled, poster. He is definitely not the art type due to the fact it looked like a two year old got a him of the glitter and glue, but it did warm my heart slightly. I let my eyes scan the bolded black letters. Reading each word carefully.

You are the stars to my moon. The planets to my sun. Let's make this winter formal magical.

I wanted to cry, but I withheld. It was such a sweet and cute idea.

"Will you go to the dance with me?" Theo asked. By now I noticed he was wearing a nice, clean black suit and tie. Of course the tie matched the silver stars and streamers.

Hesitating a bit, I finally gave him my answer. "Of course."

You can't just reject someone who asked you to a dance. Unless your name is Tara and secretly the spawn of Satan. According to Theo anyways.

The sound of Blake cheering and a bouncy if glitter being thrown on me made me think on how we're gonna clean up this mess. Being the smart person I am, I bribed them.

"Are you guys hungry?" I smiled.

"Starving," Blake said instantly.

"It took a good forty-five minutes to set this up." Theo smiled.

"Great, I'll make us some food and you can come in once you finish with all this." I grin, slowly sliding back inside.

"Well that's not fair," Blake protested.

"Sorry, can't hear you. Too much cleaning."

A couple seconds later I brought them a cleaning pan and broom.

"Ring me up when your done," I grin, shutting and locking the door.

I explained the whole situation to Rebecca. Of course she was excited, but I know my best friend better than anyone. Which means I can totally read her mind. And how sad she was for missing her last winter formal.

"Don't worry. I'll talk to my mom about getting you a plane ticket during winter break." I smile.

"Thanks Jules." She grins wide with as much happiness she could give.

"Besides I don't get all those European boys." I joke.

"They are amazing." She was practically swooning.

My phone began to buzz rapidly and I couldn't help, but smile.

"Time to feed these hungry boys."

"Good luck."

"Trust me. They're are gonna have my specialty tonight." I joke. Only Rebecca knows what my specialty is. My go to food item.

"Smart move."

"Oh shut up." I grin right before shutting my computer off.

I picked up my phone and answered.

"You've reached the Julia household."

"We finished!" I heard both Blake and Theo yell.

"Right. On it." I hang up and quickly make my way towards the front door.

Koda picked up his head when I let them inside.

Theo turned his head and spotted him. "Oh my god that's a big ass dog."

"Did you just call my dog fat?" I ask. Crossing my arms.

Blake slapped him on the shoulder. "Way to disrespect the dog."

Koda barked and both Theo and Blake jumped back. Wrapping their arms around each other in fear. It was like watching a cheesy horror movie honestly. I busted out in a quick laugh.

"What?" Blake glared. Releasing his grip on Theo.

"You guys seriously got scared from my dog?"

"He barked!" Theo snapped in defense.

"Koda." I called.

He barked again. Also scaring them both again.

I couldn't breathe at this point as laughter consumed me. Gasping for any available oxygen in the room, I finally could speak after a few minutes in my laughter fit.

"Let's just never speak of this again," Blake suggested.

"Agreed." Theo nodded.

"Oh, I'm not gonna let you guys live this down for a while." I say in a chuckle.

Theo examined my kitchen. Most likely looking for the food I promised both of them.

Soon enough, I realized I was right.

"So where the uh, food." He asked. Rubbing his hands together.

"You're gonna have to sit down for this." I command. "You are about to meet the best dish in the world."

"Should I be scared?" Blake joked.

"Slightly." I joke.

Their eyes widened before sitting down. At this point they might think I'm secretly a murder. Wouldn't blame them. My dog has been eyeing them the whole time.

I opened up the freezer, stuck my hand in, and gripping my cooking specialty that doesn't really need the whole cooking aspects.

"And I present you." I say before making my own drum roll sounds. "They best ice cream in the world."

They looked over at me and I could see the drool starting to form.

"The one and only. Chocolate chip, cookie dough ice cream." I grin. Placing the giant bucket of ice cream in front of them.

I handed them their giant spoons and after a couple minutes of hesitation. I finally gave the command.

"Now we feast!" I say loudly.

Three giant spoons digging into the ice cream became the best idea I've ever had.

"I don't think I can look at another tub of ice cream and not like," Theo groaned. Rubbish his stomach to add to his dramatic affect.

"If coach saw us. We would have to do suicide runs until we die." Blake joked. Laughing alongside Theo.

I took the now empty tub of ice cream into the kitchen while Theo and Blake decided what movie we all are gonna watch on Netflix.

"How about Clown?" Theo asked.

"I am not watching a horror movie." I yell back.

"Are you scared of clowns?" Blake teases.

Glaring I sat in between them. Snatching the remote out if their hands and picked the best movie.

"We are not watching Moana!" Blake argued.

"I agree. I had to watch that movie ten times for my little sister." Theo agreed.

"Come on. Who doesn't love Dwayne Johnson singing?" I grin, letting the opening scenes play.

"We aren't gonna win are we?" Blake asks.

"Nope," I say will a innocent smile before snuggling up in the fuzzy blanket.

"You are the most stubborn person I've ever met," Theo smiles.

"If you want to meet stubborn you gotta meet my best friend, Rebecca." I say ever so slyly.

"Rebecca huh?" Theo grins.

Theo has never really got to know Rebecca before. Probably because they were never friends last year, but now that I'm here. I think it's time to play a little cupid.

"Yeah she's in Italy right now." I grin. I noticed Blake sly smirk. He knows.

"Why?"

"Fashions student." I explain. "She's on a special scholarship."

"She sounds. Interesting." He smiles. "Will I meet her sometime?"

This is your chance Julia. You take it and conquer.

"Yeah, next week actually." Well now that I said it out loud. It gotta come true.

"Winter break?" Blake butts in.

"Yeah, she has a week off so she's flying out here to see me." I continue. I hope my mother will allow it.

"I can't wait to meet her," Theo smiles before paying his full attention to the movie.

Blake elbow nudged me in the ribs, making me not only tense up, but jump. Allowing him an excuse to laugh at me.

Thanks.

The door swung open and in walked my dad. Eyes wide when he saw all of us snuggling in warm fuzzy blankets.

"Too many boys. Way too many boys," he mumbles. "Alright. Hello Blake and uh..."

"Theo," Theo tells him.

"So what have you kids been doing?" He says as his introduction to his investigation.

"We were just about to leave." Blake smiles. "Right Theo?"

"Yeah. It's getting late. Got homework. Science," Theo begins to mumble, but I cut him off.

"You know I'm getting really tired," I let out a fake yawn.

Dad held the door open as both Theo and Blake left.

"Goodnight." Theo called.

"Goodnight, Julia." Blake smiled friendly. "Goodnight uh Patrick."

"Night," I grin while shutting the door. Turning to face my father.

"Explain." He glares with his arms crossed.
