6. Accidentally Agreement
One week later
• • • •
There are two things I'm this world that makes waking up on a Monday seem impossible. Especially when you're a student either in highschool or college. Or even a highschool student taking college classes, for example me.
Number one. Lack of sleep because us teenagers or young adults think we won't feel this in the morning. That we'll be fine.
Number two. Waking up to your dog licking your face with their wet-slobbery tongue while your phone keeps going off.
"Alright. Alright. I'm up." I murmur. Pushing Koda's head out of my face.
I could feel the pencil and paper rip off my face while I lofted my head off the desk. My history essay laying down in front of me, finished (thank god). I don't understand why Mrs. Chan thought that we were ready to write a full essay on world war two. Yeah, we had the whole weekend to do it. Yeah I procrastinated. Still, some people (like me) had very important things to do. Like my bedroom being furnished.
My room was finally furnished now. We finished it yesterday right before I started my essay. twin sizes bed was against the farthest left wall from the door entering my room. The simple bedsheet of pastel blues and purple ombre matched the gray and white pillows mom bought for me once she heard about the bedsheets. There was a white wooden glass end table next to it, holding my collection of books and a tiny blue reading lamp. Also all my chargers and phone. Since I didn't have a closet, we bought a simple white dresser that sat directly across my bed. Finally I didn't have to go through the boxes to search for one article of clothing. On top of it rested all my photos of Rebecca and I being 'Rebecca and I', which probably isn't a good thing. The picture Rebecca sent me hung on the wall above the dresser and I couldn't be happier. It was the same modern picture I looked up and wanted to cry when I saw the price. Turns out she got it at a thrift store where they didn't realize how much they could of sold it for. She got it for twenty dollars American money which equals around eighteen euro's. A tall, slender bookshelf sat next to it where all my finished books and cute tumblr like pictures rested. And last, but not least. A potted plant because I can't get enough. It's fake of course because I would of killed it by now.
I grabbed my phone which was still going off. Rubbing my eyes, I glanced at the time and my heart sank. I quickly looked out the window and again, saw that big yellow bus leaving without me. Without Julia Lee.
What is with Mondays and me missing buses? Last week I rode it just fine (except Monday, shocker) and haven't even been close to missing it.
Bad luck Mondays, I guess. Which means I can either get a ride with Blake, great, or walk.
I quickly found a white T-shirt and pulled it over my black tank top. I could wear these black leggings again so it's no big deal. I grabbed my backpack that hung on the door and pulled it over my shoulder.
"Come on Koda!" I called.
He raced out of my room towards his food bowl. I quickly poured in the dry food told him to "sit." Waited a couple of seconds before sitting it down. Where I proceeded to tell him "okay." He lunged for the food and chomped down like a little kid getting chocolate the first time.
"Good boy." I called be fire leaving the apartment.
Right in time when Blake came walking out. Raking his fingers through his hair in a sexy manner which just made me want to gag. A smug look on his face when he spotted me.
"I knew you couldn't resit me." He said.
"Wouldn't wanna tell your girlfriend you said that." I cross my arms.
He smiled and looked down at the floor which is way more interesting than me I guess. "Uh. You know you missed the bus."
"You haven't noticed." I rather walk right now.
"Come on I'll give you a ride." He says.
"Lovely."
Why was I so rude to Blake? Because he is the golden boy. This last week I learned everything about the amazing Blake Hunt. Not only is the captain of the football team, putting him at the top of the social pyramid which dating Tara seems kind of stereotypical because she's the cheerleader captain, but he also in all the advance classes. With me. Yay. Every girl adores him. probably for his looks. He is a very attractive human being with perfect teeth, created with braces, and perfect brown hair. I mean who doesn't adore him? Me. I don't adore him. His golden charm isn't gonna work on me. Not now. Not ever. Not even in a million years.
We pulled up in the same parking spot when parked in last week. If this keeps happening, I'm gonna have to trip on my face, get food thrown over me, and get the popular to hate my guts even more.
Theo hand slammed on the hood of Blake's car making me jump in my seat.
"Nice, Lee." Blake said in between laughs.
I glanced over at him, sending needle like glares. He didn't care. He continued to laugh at me. His laugh was adorably-annoying.
"Sup cutie!" Theo greeted me. Pulling me into a very in wanted hug when I got out of the car.
"Please hit Blake for me." I whispered.
When Blake got out of the car, Theo swung hard. Landing a perfectly placed punch right on his bicep.
"What the hell dude?" Blake screamed. Holding where he got punched.
"You're welcome." Theo smiled at me.
"Thank you." I smile friendly.
Noe Blake was giving both of us needle like stares and now I was laughing.
"Babe!" The taunting voice of Tara rung in our ears.
Blake turned around and pulled Tara into a tight hug. Planting a kiss on her lips while Theo and I stood there awkwardly.
"Oh hey, Julia." She said when she looked at me.
"I'll talk to you guys later." Blake said right before Tara said anything that would cause me to punch her in that perfect face of hers.
Blake and Tara began to walk away and I waited patiently for Theo comment.
"Now there were only two that the devil didn't take." He whispered loud enough for only I could hear.
I let out a small chuckle. Which then proceed to make Theo laugh.
"That was cute," he smiled.
"See you later." I grin before walking away.
"Then there was only one." I heard him add.
I walked into History class before anyone else. I guess being early to your class died last week. Makes since now that everyone has their friend groups established.
Mrs. Chan looked up from her paper to look at me. Me expecting her to say something, waited patiently. Instead she left me hanging, she looked back at her paper she was looking at.
After a couple of minutes, I noticed Blake come in without Tara at her hip. First shock of the day. The second is when he came over to where I was sitting and sat down.
"I need your help." He said.
"Uh your jock friends usual sit up there." I point to where he has always sat.
He smiled. I glared. What did this boy want?
"I need help in history." He then said. Taking me by surprised. The one guy who's in all the advance classes needs helps in history.
"History has proven your girlfriend doesn't like me hanging with you." I tell him.
"She doesn't care." He says quickly. Oh trust me, she'll care. "Please Julia, I'm begging you."
"Aww, you're so cute when you beg." I joke.
"You owe me anyways." He then says taking me by surprise.
"I what now?" I say in shock. I don't remember doing something that would classify as I owe him back.
"I gave you a ride."
"You suggested."
"You agreed."
Shut it.
"Please Julia. If I don't get a c in here, I can't start." He continues.
"What's in it for me?" I ask.
"I will give you a ride every day until you get your car." He says.
"Okay."
"Great. Everyday after school." He starts to get up.
"Wait what?"
"You're the best Julia."
I stare awkwardly at Blake as he walked away to join his obnoxious jock friends. I kept trying to think where I said I agreed to tutor him. Oh wait I didn't agree, I just said okay.
Tara walked in with her cheerleading group. Smiling at me in a very suspicious manner. I could care less, but I mean today is all about history repeating itself. I don't wanna be anywhere near Tara at lunch. I like this shirt.
