"Batowl and his team reacted to the scene soon after the fire started. He is on the scene now- Oh! look there is Batcoon!" The camera zoomed in on a small raccoon ruining into a burning building. "It is suspected that a lion hybrid started the fire-"
The T.V was shut off. "Kino?" I asked as he slowly got up and left through the front door. "Again?" I heard a shaky rasped voice say from next to me. "You know it's hard for him. His kind is slowly dying out." I spoke slowly, letting the elder next to me process what I said.
A hand fell onto my shoulder, it was cold and shriveled but also soothing and calm. "I know Sunny." The old woman spoke. "Don't you get scared? You are almost the only bobcat left." "Sometimes... But everything happens for a reason. Now, turn the television back on. I want to know what else is happening." She always sounded so happy, though everyone knew that the bobcat was scared of her kind going extinct, but since she was one of the oldest people living in the warehouse she stayed calm so no one would become angered or worried.
"Getting away from the fire for a second with some great news! Another bobcat has been spotted and caught. It is being pelted! With the bobcat number decreasing in Los Santos, people are feeling a bit more safer knowing that one big cat culture will soon not be able to do anymore damage. And now back to Molly with the fire." The T.V flashed off. "Are you alright?" I asked, the elder's eye's looked glossy and dead but it was quickly shaken away when she looked at me. "Of course. I just need rest." She got up and left the room.
"Rough day I see." an almost dead sounding voice said, followed by two lion cubs tackling each other on the floor in front of me. I pinched the bridge of my nose and let a soothing hand rub my back. "Why don't we talk about something else?" Demi said hoping over the couch and sitting next to me. "Okay... How long before those two can switch to their human form?" I asked nodding my head towards the lion cubs, "Soon. They should get them sometime next month, and they can't wait." The mother laughed, she turned into her lion form and hoped off of the beat up couch, "Sunny, if you could. Can you please go out and get pizza for these two?" She asked, "Of course, But only if these two go to sleep to night." "We will!" Two small voices yelled as the looked at Demi, she turned into her human form and handed me thirty dollars. "Okay I have to go get ready, then I will head out." I walked off to my room in the warehouse. The warehouse is in an old section of Los Santos, it's surrounded by the forest, it used to be a factory for were they stored baby supplies but it closed down after dropping in sales. It is a huge space and is home to many different kinds of big cat's. Every one takes care of each other no matter what cat they are. But sometimes they come to me if they need something, I always agree, I love helping the others.
I reach my room which is on the floor right before the top floor. I enter my room and grab some black leggings and a shirt that says 'Stop bullying! Speak up!' Then I throw on a pair of black tinted sun glasses, covering my hazel green eye's. I hope no one says anything considering the sun is almost fully set. I put my white hair up into a pony tail and then finish my outfit by putting on a light blue hoodie, shoving the thirty dollars into the pocket. And yes I said white hair, I am a rare white Bengal tiger. Some of the cats tell me that it is dangerous because people would kill to have my pelt, others say it is a good source of camouflage since I can just say I am a different type of animal animal with white fur. I shake away my thought's and exit the warehouse. before I start my long walk to the city I see Kino leaning against a tree. "Hey Kino." I smile sadly, he looks at me and sighs, "Where are you going?" He asks, "I'm getting Demi and her cubs pizza. Could you please drive me? A ride would be helpful, and you know how scary the city can be for a lone big cat." "Hop in my car." We walk over to his beat up red truck, we hop in and he puts the keys in. "Go into the glove compartment and grab my sun glasses will you?" I open it up and hand them to him. Then we make our way to the pizzeria.
"What would you like?" The girl behind the counter asks, "Um, can I get a large extra cheese pie?" "Okay, anything else?" "A leader bottle of Pepsi." Kino buts in, "alright we will be right with you." She smiles and goes to make the pizza, while me and Kino sit in one of the booths were we can both see a small T.V with the news on. "And here we have Batowl. Can you please tell us about the situation?" The news reporter asks the Asian owl hybrid, he was wearing all black and had the biggest grin on his face. "Well, as me and my team expected there was a lion behind the fire. His name is 'Beldam Vorno' and he is in a van being taken away to be pelted." batowl and the reporter walk over to a police van with a man sitting down. His wrists are bound tight with chains and his ankles are too, he has a muzzle over his face, and his eye's show that he was innocent and had done nothing wrong. I looked at Kino and saw him rubbing his eyes. "I'm sorry..." I whispered rubbing my face into is shoulder. "Your order is done." The girl smiled, we grabbed the pizza and soda then left.
When we walked into the warehouse Demi was waiting, I handed her the pizza and she thanked me, when I handed her the soda she hugged me and ran off with her cubs following close behind. A loud voice came over the speakers, "Hello everyone, it is almost seven pm time to start heading to your rooms. Thank you and have a good nights rest." The voice was from a woman named Clem, nothing happened if you were outside of your room, it was just nice to go to sleep early and get some well earned rest. Kino walked away with his head down. "Is he going to be okay?" I heard my friend, Nami, say from beside me, "I hope so..." I trailed off, "you should head to bed." She said patting my back and walking off. I walked to my room and locked my door.
I stripped my clothes and entered my shower. I was quickly greeted by warm pellets of water hitting my face, I grabbed my lavender shampoo and washed my hair. I started to sing to myself as I washed up. "Oh, misty eye of the mountain below, Keep careful watch of my brothers' souls, And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke, Keep watching over Durin's son, If this is to end in fire, Then we should all burn together, Watch the flames climb high into the night, Calling out for the rope, sent by and we will, Watch the flames burn on and on the mountain side hey." I stepped out of the shower and wiped tears away before they could fall. I put on black boxers and an oversized purple shirt that past my knees. I plopped down onto my back and closed my eyes. "The past can hurt. But you can either run from it or, learn from it." I always say quotes for the ones who have passed before I fall asleep.
