Waking up I wasn't in my dorm. The room had the same feeling as mine, but different. There were bookshelves all around the room. The room still looked like the dungeons, but there was only one bed contrary to the four in our dorm rooms. The door opened to reveal Professor Snape. 

"You're awake", Snape said closing the door behind him.

"Yes. What happened?", I ask holding my head in slight pain. 

"You passed out from exhaustion", Snape said placing a teacup with blue tea still steaming inside, before sitting down himself. I hesitantly reached my hand out for the cup, before Snape nudged it over to me. I drew my hand back before reaching out again. I gripped the handle before taking a sip of the blue tea. 

"Butterfly tea?", I questioned. 

"I've heard it has properties that help with relaxation", Snape says pouring himself a cup as well.

"Thank you", I said. The teacup was in my hands that were resting in my lap, my thumbs fiddling with the elaborate handle. My hair fell over my head, unable to lift my eyes from my lap in disappointment. 

"Kaiyo-"

"I'm sorry", I interrupted with a calm tone. 

"What?", Snape said surprised. 

"I lost my composure and behaved completely unprofessionally. It won't happen again", I said lowering my head. 

"Mr. Kura- No. Kaiyo you have nothing to apologize for", Snape says making me lift my head and look at him in shock. 

"Why?", I asked breathlessly. 

"Why what?", Snape says looking in slight confusion. 

"Why care about me? I'm nothing more than a kid you hired for protection", I ask with slight desperation. I felt a light touch on my head lightly ruffling my white hair. 

"Do I need a reason", Snape says. I wished this moment never ended. That this feeling of bliss would last for eternity. Unfortunately, time moved forward and Snape returned to his serious demeanor, but he still had a relaxed air about him. 

"Now. You missed the end-of-the-year feast, but you still have time before your friends return home for the summer. During the summer you'll be staying at the castle since you are still relatively new to magic and Mori 'suggested' that you stay at the castle this year", Snape quickly explained leading me out of the room into the hall.

 "You should get going if you want to say bye to your friends before the train leaves", Snape says pointing to the train with students boarding. 

I ran down the hall, out of the castle, and onto the boarding station. I made it just before Draco was about to board, Pansy and the rest waiting behind him. 

"Matte!", I yelled as I ran onto the platform. 

"Kaiyo", Draco said as he turned to me.

"Kaiyo!", Pansy says hugging me. 

"Where is your stuff?", Blaise says walking over. 

"I stay at the castle since I'm a foreign exchange student", I responded hugging Pansy back. 

"Are we going to see you in the summer?", Theo asked 

"Perhaps", I answered. 

"My father will be hosting the summer ball this year. He could ask professor Snape to bring you along?", Draco suggests. 

"I'd like that", I responded before the whistle sounded out. "You guys should get going if you want to make it onto the train". The four grab their things and prepare to leave and Draco comes over and gives me a hug before walking into the train.

A month had passed since the end of the term. I've been helping the teachers with summer work. I started to train and work out again. 

I start the day with 2 laps around the castle. Then I spar with the whopping willow. The willow is temperamental and attacks at high speed and strength. Our sparring is more dodging. I'd rather not attack school property. The willow has started to calm down around me and I've come to learn that it's more conscience than people give credit for. 

I was walking in the forbidden forest along with Kuro. Who was content with walking beside me. A thumping on the ground turns my head to Firenze jumping over a bush and stopping in front of me. 

"Kurayami", Firenze said I stayed quiet, motioning Kuro behind me. 

"That is your name and am I wrong?", Firenze asked. 

"No, that's my name", I answered. 

"someone would like to thank you", He said surprising me. 

"Who?", I asked. Firenze motioned for something to move forward. The unicorn that was dying the first night I saved Potter came out from the trees. 

"You", I say moving over and petting his head. 

"He wanted to thank you", Firenze says coming closer. 

"I didn't do anything", I say as the unicorn continued to nudge my torso. 

"You saved his life. If you didn't tell me he was alive he would've died that night", Firenze explained. 

"I did what anyone would've done", I say moving to the unicorn's mane, and running my fingers through the silky hair. 

Ever since that day, I've been meeting with the unicorn herd in the forest. Yuuki the unicorn I 'saved' took me to the herd and they accepted me, taking me in.

The end of July was coming. Snape had gotten an invitation to the Malfoy's Summer Ball. He took me to be fitted for a suit. The suit was a black suit with silver details embroidered onto the lower part of the top piece, branching out into intricate details resembling flowers. Thankfully he allowed me to pay for the top piece, and reuse the rest of the suit. We were preparing to leave. I was attaching the chain I consistently wore. 

 "Kaiyo are you ready", I heard Snape yell. 

"Comming", I say in a calm manner fixing the clip in my hair before heading down. Snape was waiting in his own dress robes. They were similar to his normal robes but with more intricate details woven into the fabric. 

"You look acceptable", Snape says looking at my clothes. 

"Thank you", I say with a quick bow. 

We made our way to the great hall. Snape informed me earlier that we'd be traveling using the Floo network. 

"Mew", Kuro meowed getting my attention. Kuro had a bowtie on. I bathed him before taking a shower myself.

Kuro climbed up my arm onto my shoulder resting himself on my shoulder and nuzzling my neck. 

"Malfoy Manor!", Snape says going first. Grabbing a fistful of floo powder I stepped into the fireplace. 

"Malfoy Manor!", I say before dropping the powder. The green flames engulfed me, before the interior of the manor was visible. The manor was dark with chandlers hanging from the ceiling lighting the entire hall. 

"Kaiyo!", I turned my head just in time to catch Pansy who was jumping at me. "It's been forever!". 

"It's good to see you too Pansy", I say with a smile hugging her back. 

"Good to see you too snowflake", Blaise said smirking. 

"Snowflake?", I asked tilting my head. Pansy moved away to stand next to Draco. 

"Your hair is pure white, and your eyes are sapphire blue you look like the personification of winter", Theo says chucking. 

"Ah, I see", I say my hands fixing my collar. 

"Ah, you must be the foreign exchange student we've heard so much about", I turned my head to see a man with long platinum blond hair and a woman with black and platinum blond hair. They were both wearing elaborate clothing with detail embroidered into most of the suits and dresses. 

"You two must be Lord and Lady Malfoy. A pleasure to meet you", I say with a bow. 

"Draco was right you are-"

"Mother! He doesn't need to hear that!", Draco said interrupting his mother. 

"His hair is interesting... Tell me are you a Metamorphmagus?", Lord Malfoy asked. 

"Ah, No Lord Malfoy my eyes and hair are natural", I answer. 

"You certainly have manners", Lord Malfoy commented before the music started. 

"Ah... Kaiyo would you like to dance? Great!", Draco says dragging me to the dance floor.

"Huh?", I say. I could feel Kuro jumping off my shoulder, and turning my head I could see Pansy cradling him in her arms.

The two made their way onto the dance floor. Draco put his hand on Kaiyo's waist while Kaiyo put his hand on Draco's shoulder. As they moved in perfect harmony with the music their friends were on the side, especially one who was internally squealing. 

"Severus, good to see you", Lucious says greeting his old friend and handing him a glass of champagne. 

"Lucious, you as well", Snape says. "They seem to be enjoying the ball", he says looking over at the two dancing. Kaiyo with a content smile on his face while Draco was struggling to look him in the eye. 

"You seem to have taken a liking to the boy", Narcissa says making Snape turn his head to the woman. 

"No! I-", Snape tried to defend. 

"Don't try to lie to me, Severus. Your face says it all", Narcissa says making the man keep his mouth shut. 

 "It's not as if I disapprove. He's respectful, top of his classes, and Draco likes him", Lucious says as the music stops. The two, step away from each other and bow one last time before stepping off the dance floor. 

They all celebrate the day and as night falls Snape leaves with Kaiyo. After the guest, all leave Narcissa begins to tease her son about his growing crush on the white-haired boy. All while Lucious watched in content at his son and wife.
