Days passed, and of course he was trying his best to talk to Marinette. As expected, Marinette didn't even bother to reply to him, if she looked at him, she would just stare at him in disgust. As days passed, more people would start to avoid Adrien, his reputation and his father's image even started falling apart.

Why?

Marinette started to claim that those rumors about her were fake, and started accusing him that he was the one who did those things. You know what's worse? She even added a lot of untrue deeds to make it sounds that he was the bad guy.

But..

That didn't stop him from giving up to make her believe him that Lila was the one behind this. Thankfully for him, there were no akumas, making him focus on Marinette. Sure there were students trying to argue with him and his father started becoming colder and mean towards him, he didn't mind it.

Currently, he was in the bathroom, talking to the kwamis. The two little creatures were against his decision about not giving up on the girl. It was obvious that they didn't want the boy to be hurt, but it seemed like he won't even listen to them.

"Fine!" Plagg snapped as he glared at his owner who was just looking down. "Then, let's make a deal, Adrien." The boy immediately looked up at the kwamis with a questioning face. "What deal?"

"I know I don't show that much concern for you, but I am! Tikki and I are worried for you, but since you're so stubborn, here's what I have for you. If Marinette still doesn't talk to you by the end of the day, then that's final. You know you'll end up being hurt if you continue this." One of the kwamis replied.

Adrien's eyes widened. He knew he can't just prove Marinette that Lila is a liar within less than a day! So, he started arguing with the two kwamis. He knew that they were only trying to help, but it is his decision! It isn't

It isn't like they were the ones who are going to face the consequence of his actions.

So yep, the trio argued for a moment and surprisingly, Adrien just agreed to their deal. He sighed to himself and got out, his kwamis in his jacket. Once he opened the bathroom stall door, he saw a girl wearing a Chat Noir- themed outfit. Well, it did surprise him that there's still some civilians that seemed like a fan of him.

But..

That's when he realized that it wasn't a civilian, but rather, an akumatized victim. His eyes widened as he got back into the bathroom stall and said, "Tikki, spots on!"

So much for trying to prove Marinette that Lila is the bad guy. What he didn't know is that a very few of him were trying to approach the girl and gather what they know about Lila.

"Let's just get this over with." He whispered to himself while swinging his yo- yo. Little did he know that this akuma attack would be the way for the both of them to talk again.

So that's about what happened in their past. A lot of events happened when the girl lost her memories. Who knew losing her memories could lead him to be hospitalized, and being with whoever this old man is.

But, you know?

If it means fighting villains, akumas or amoks, he didn't mind it. As long as she was by his side, he wouldn't trade it for the world. Gosh, cheesy isn't it? Well, it isn't as cheesy as Plagg's camembert anyways.

A few minutes later, fighting the villain, he eventually got away. The two ran after him in silence, but they had a lot of thoughts in their mind. Adrien was happy that he was finally with his lady, while Marinette was feeling guilty about what had happened. Sure they have talked after he was discharged, but she still couldn't help but feel anxious.

It didn't take too long for Adrien to notice how uneasy Marinette seemed like. So he frowned and sighed. "What's wrong?" He asked the bluenette who just shook her head in silence, fastening her pace. Adrien frowned, he didn't know what to do to make her smile right now. Did he do something wrong to upset her? Did he make a mistake?

This time, Marinette noticed how the boy was looking down, despite the both of them still running after the villain. Since she wasn't looking at her way anymore, her actions made her trip. Chat Noir immediately stopped and offered his hand to help her out with a soft yet small smile on his face. "Are you.... alright?" He asked, hesitantly.

Marinette just looked at him with a sad expression and eventually looked away. The boy frowned once again and ran a hand through his hair. He knew he had done something wrong, what else could be the reason she's acting like this?

"Look, there's still probably a high chance that you still haven't forgave me, but I just want to tell you that, I'm not the one who spread those false rumors about you." He said, softly. The bluenette gritted her teeth as she clenched her fists. No, why was he thinking like that? It was true that her past self thought it was him that spread those rumors, but she was clueless. Then again, she knew no excuse could make up for what she had done in the past.

"You can ignore me for the rest of your life, but I just want to say my side of the story. For now, we need to focus on saving Paris if you want to avoi----"

"Shut up." She muttered under her breath, making him raise an eyebrow.

Maybe it was a bad idea to speak.

Oh well, he can't go back in time, can he?

"I'm so---"

"No, stop blaming yourself!" She yelled as she got his hand and stood up with his help. "Listen here you stupid cat, I was the one in the wrong. If I still haven't got my memories back, I wouldn't know that Lila really is the bad guy here! You were only trying your best to help me, you were even willing to step in, despite being cataclysm in the ribs, just for me. Sometimes I even wonder if you're an idiot or not." She said, while punching his chest lighty, but eventually, plopped her head on it. "I don't know why you're still trying your best to talk to me on those days, where I didn't even deserve your efforts, especially you." She continued, looking down.

Misterbug felt touched by her words and immediately covered his mouth in shock. He wasn't expecting this. What he was expecting was a lot of disappointing statements from her. This... This day indeed has a lot of unexpected turns.

"I did make some mistakes in the past, like how I accidentally lost my ring without even noticing it." He paused for a moment, "But those sacrifices meant nothing compared being with you." He whispered in her ear, making her look at his emerald green eyes. "Like I mentioned before, the times when I have the most fun, my favorite moments, are when I'm with you, m'lady, and I would give up everything just for that." He continued, sending a soft and gentle smile at her.

Marinette just stood there for a moment, but eventually hugged him tight.

"You really are sweet. Too bad you're a hopeless romantic."

"Hey!"

Seconds later, they heard somebody scream. They had totally forgotten about the villain, so without waiting any longer, the two broke the hug and smiled at each other.

"So, us against the world, m'lady?" He asked, holding his fist out.

"As always." She fist- bumped him. Then, the two started jumping from roofs to roofs, towards Su Ying.

Who knew their life would turn miraculous after the events that had happened? I guess that's life, it's full of surprises. Whether you're experiencing the downs or ups of life, the future has something shockingly in store for you, so it's best not to give up on your goal.
