A pale shaft of sunlight - the kind that no one ever feels shone on the Adenuga's Villa which was currently a mess of worried people due to the missing heiress.

Atinuke was a bit worried after being informed three hours ago that her daughter was no where to be found. She wanted to cry so loud about her missing daughter but she knew something was coming, she just knew- so she just kept mute, twirling her six million naira wavy weave in between her long, slender fingers.

Dele paced back and forth in the large sitting room filled with the family members that came to celebrate with Tamilore.

The teenagers were allowed to go back home earlier after being searched thoroughly by the security team.

"Atinuke would you not talked ni?" A fat Yoruba woman with an authentic Ibadan accent that dripped like thick honey asked Tamilore's mum who in return stayed mute although her gaze seemed like she was far away.

"Atinuke what do you know. Kilo n se e gan?" The light skinned woman pestered her again. As she spoke, her chubby and saggy cheeks adorned with three long tribal marks moved vehemently with the green and black patches on them looking like disco balls.

"Can't you saw that Tamilore is left this house all the moni they wan give us now koor bayi?" She cried to Atinuke again. She just stood up and walked away."

"So is me you are walk away from abi? Atinuke? Atinuke coming back here." She yelled and followed her into her bedroom.

"Ah and they telling me o I does not know it is so soon." She must before scurring after her.

"Bolu, let's talk in the garden." Fadeke Summons her son. She had was an authority figure and no one dared to contradict her. The darked skinned boy with gold tinted dreads scrambles after his mother immediately.

They walked silently to the garden where the party was held and as soon as they got there, Fadeke cut to the chase.

"Bolu did you make sure you got rid of everything properly? I can't afford loose ends. If you screw up you're on your own." She said bluntly; without giving her son a second look. Bolu was a complete contrast of his mother. His overly dark shin shone brightly under the artificial lights like he applied vegetable oil on his skin.

"Mummy I tried my best o." He said with a very disturbing pout; his black lips jolting out unattractively.

"Are you mad?" She begun lashing out on the young adult. "You think you're a kid abi? Bolu you're twenty two years old. You graduated secondary school with seven f's and two p's. You dropped out of university after that. Ode oshi. Even the house maid has gotten tired of you." She pulled his ears lightly as she scolded her son.

"But mummy?" He whined.

"But nothing." Fadeke cut him short. "If you like spoil everything. That's your problem. You better be a man for once in your life, and go and help them find that dumb girl." She made a weak attempt to push him towards the house and he follows like a submissive puppet.

"Mummy she's not dumb o." He whined again, gripping his ears with in fingers in defence of Tamilore.

"Shut up your mouth." Fadeke hissed and walked away.

"She will just be doing somebody like a child. What did I do now gan." Boluwatife grumbled to himself but Fadeke hears and returns back to their secret meeting point.

"What did you say?" She questioned harshly; her hands ready, seat and locked in for a serious 3D slap. Deaf, Dumb and Disabled mode.

"Nothing ma." He muttered, eyes trained on the floor.

"Better." She launched her palm at him in mock torture before walking away, Bolu following grudgingly behind her.

"Demilade where do you think your friend can be ehn? Ife how bout you?" She quizzed both teenage girls in the living room where the whole family pondered over what could've happened to Tamilore.

"Last time I saw her she was looking for seyi." Demilade said quietly. Her makeup was already caked and half of her popped up lip stick was gone.

"Seyi. Seyi. Do you have his number?" Atinuke asked the girls, hope flashing through her eyes.

"Yeah I do." Demilade pulled out her cell phone and searched for Seyi's number as fast as possible.

"Dele give me your cell phone I want to call Tamilore's boyfriend." She asked him, worry laced on her voice.

"I don't think we should call him." He said, without locking eyes with Atinuke. He seemed more interested in the Hip Hop song playing on Trace Naija, his feet tapping nervously on the floor.

"But Dele what are you saying? We can't find Tammy anywhere and you're not even concerned. It's because she's not your daughter abi?" Atinuke questioned furiously- her eyes burning with anger.

"Ma'am no need to yell, you can use my phone; you know I care deeply about Tamilore." A young, lean man offered his airtime to call Seyi; his dimples playing so delicately on his cheek with every word he spoke. He was Simply- beautiful.

"Edward aren't you tired?" Atinuke questioned the tall man after handing the phone to Demilade to type the number. "Should I get the driver to take you home? I'll just update you tomorrow instead."

"No ma'am. I'm good." Edward replied with a charming, heart melting smile; his voice deep, low and very sexy with a pang of an Australian accent.

"Thank you my son." As she said those words, Dele flashed Edward a particular look but he brushed it aside and continue focusing his attention on Atinuke and the girls.

Demilade typed the number on Edward's phone and handed it to Tamilore and she dialed the number with shaky fingers. Her legs shook nervously, her black Italian slippers tapping noisily against the floor.

"He's not picking o." She declared wearily. The ting of hope in her eyes vanished immediately and in its place, worry took over.

"Try again now." Demilade said.

Atinuke continued dialing the number but nobody picked up the call.

"Ife what do you think happened?" Tamilore's best friend asked the teenage girl. She looked up from her phone, hissed and walked away, leaving Demilade in complete shock. They're supposed to be cousins right.

"Mama what's the situation now?" Moses asked Atinuke in Yoruba, fondly calling her mama.

"I think she has left with her boyfriend." Atinuke told Dele and immediately his muscles relaxed. Moses was very happy that was the conclusion After all they need things to work out for them well.

"Everybody," Atinuke called for the entire family. "I think it's time we all retire to bed now. The conclusion is that she left with her body and tomorrow I'll find out where he lives so we can go there. The housekeeper will be down to give everybody rooms. Goodnight. " She explained to them before leaving the sitting room.

The light that ruled the night shone brightly around 12:15 as Demilade walked through the Adenuga's pool side. It was a bit isolated from the main house, like a little get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It had palm trees and everything.

She thought about how Tamilore was so blessed and jealousy crossed her mind but she brushed it off. Her dad was a deadbeat and her mum a level thirteen officer at the Independent National Electoral Commisoner that worked tooth and nail to get her up to 300Level law in the University of Lagos.

The butterfly shaped pool looked so pristine and calm and the cool breeze calmed Demilade from the insides as she walked on the edges barefoot.

Tamilore had the world at her feet. She was just eighteen and she was going to inherit billions of dollars while she had to struggle to make sure she graduated law school so she could get a decent job.

She heard some footsteps from afar plus the rustling of leaves. At first she thought it was an animal but the steps become more audible and more precise, they were sounds that could only be made by human feet.

"Who's there?" She called out a little bit scared because she thought everybody would've been snoring in their respective beds at this hour.

"Babe." A young man finally made it to the pool side. Demilade immediately blushed at the sight of the boy clad in over ripped rip jeans and a black hoodie. His dreads stood tall and spiky on his head like a porcupine as he walked towards Demi.

"Dekunle... Um... What are you... Em doing... Here?" She stuttered completely flushed. If Demilade was light skinned, her face would've been red like a ripe, juicy tomato but she could still feel the errupting goosebumps. She could feel the hairs standing upright on her skin.

"I need somebody to put out my fire babe." Demi was caught in complete shock. She had like Tamilore's brother for years now and never ever had he pulled a muscle to even get close to her romantically. She knew he meant that because we'll... She knew what it meant to put out a man's fire.

"I... I don't get." She lied. They hardly even talked, Dekunle always ignored she and Tamilore but here he was, asking her for sex.

"Look honey. My girlfriend and I were in the middle of something but then her period came. Ew. And I you know..." He gave her a suggestive wink. Demilade's eyes traveled to the middle of his legs and she fought so hard the urge to gasp.

"I'm sorry... but...em you know... I'm not what you need right now." She quickly collected her slippers and made an attempt to go back to the main house but Dekunle pulled her back.

"I know you've always like me na, just let's do this. I promise nobody would find out." He said, groping her from behind as he placed his legs hard against her butt.

"Dekunle let go of me." She tried to get out of his strong hold but he was much too powerful.

"Oya how much, you're kuku poor maybe we can-" That statement seemed to have given Demilade all the strength she needed as she forced herself out of his grip and landed a hot slap across his cheek.

"You bitch." He yelled in pain, grabbing in hurt cheek. In a swift move, he pushed her to the ground and pulled her dress up. "I'll teach you a lesson."

"No. No Dekunle don't do this. I'm sorry I'm-" He slapped her to quiet her down and continued the assault.

"Who's there? Who's there?" He called out after hearing some sounds but when no response came, he continued his villainous deed as he pumped harder into the innocent girl. She was so tired, she couldn't fight back anymore.

"Tammy oh my Tammy you're so sexy in that red lingerie." Dele cooed in his dream completely oblivious to the fact that Atinuke was awake.

"Dele wake up. Wake up, what did I just hear you say?" Atinuke questioned as she vigorously shook her husband.
