The sun was so extra today and the birds chirrped in a whole new style as if they got lessons as the staff of Adenuga Villa were up and doing. The gardener flashed his brown and unkempt teeth proudly as he danced to the music from the blaring speakers.

"They don come Oga I swear they don come." Musa; the illiterate Hausa gatekeeper yelled to nobody in particular as he ran out of the house at the gate that was allotted to him. The blood covenant between Hausa gate keeper's and rich Nigerians didn't seem like something that could ever be broken even by the most powerful voodoo man or celestial churches.

"Oga come in come in, I Don tell sekurity make dem check you Walahi the jollof they smell like aunty Tamilore." He praised the head chef for their work with the salivating food. The heavily bearded man chuckled softly as Musa's brown hand made cap fell down repeatedly due to his over excitement.

The man motioned for the two large food trucks to enter the gate with his thick fingers and brown, long and unkempt nails. Those things could gouge one's eyes out. His thin eyes scanned the compound and he noticed a second gate which was the security check point. The gate was smaller but instead of illiterate Musa, it was graced with heavily armed men and women with the knowledge of guns and knives. The mere sight of it could make a potential criminal pee in his pants and run for his parents.

"Make we go there abi." He pointed at the second gate and Musa nodded in affirmation.

"Yes. Oga no forget me o." He said; a look of wonder and something like lust in his eyes like he just saw a hot woman's nude. He licked his kpomo lips lustfully as he pondered over the possibility of even having a taste of the burnt bottom of the pot. His lips looked like they belonged at the bottom of a Yoruba woman's ata dindin (fried stew).

The trucks proceeded to the security checkpoint and Musa returned to his room still limping happily.

The smell of sweet Nigerian jollof hit the air as soon as the catering team started setting up. Nigerian jollof was simply the best and it knew how to take over very quickly.

Mama Benita made her way through the million naira garden with a large smile plastered on her saggy face. The short, chubby but very agile woman walked briskly to the catering stand without a itch, she knew her way perfectly and she manovered effortlessly through the white swan themed table and chairs decorated with pink roses and swan shaped napkins.

"Dear, I was directed to you. You're the head of the catering service right?" She kept a knowing smile on her face, it almost looked cynical.

"Yes ma'am." He nodded a bit nervously as he glanced around as if to check if somebody he knew was there.

"But not here though, I don't want your staff getting jealous of what I'm about to give you." She gave a slim lady in a pink and yellow baby doll dress paired with black stilettos a big smile. Looks like smiles are mama Benita's thing.

She turned around immediately with confidence that the well built dark skinned man would follow her and he did just that . His bald head shone brightly under the afternoon sun as he took giant strides across the beautiful garden.

"This is the first payment for your service, I'm very glad you people came early I was already afraid the guests would arrive before the food does. The boss told me to give it directly to you." She handed him a fat brown envelope with a small note. "It's from the boss, she wants you to follow the instruction strictly." She gave him a final smile before walking away, her sagging behind swaying purposefully.

"Anita take care of setting the glassware please." The head chef told the baby doll dress girl and immediately, she fired up.

"You take the gold plates to tables one to four, you deal with the square plates, goldie take care of the dessert places everybody; go go go, moooovvveee. Madam Atinuke didn't deposit five million naira into our account for nothing." She ordered the staff around perfectly. She was totally born to boss people around. In no time, the garden became a hive of orange tee shirts and Blue Jeans on black sneakers.

"Wawu, that amount can buy me and remain change to last me for six more lifetimes." A dark skinned girl commented on the amount payed by the owners of the house as she grabbed the plates clumsily.

"Shut up and do your work joor." Anita shot back at her.

A nice earthy mix of coconut and vanilla filled the modern bedroom as Tamilore got ready for her party.

A grave yard could arguably be more silent as she fixed her makeup quietly; long, slender and well manicured fingers making the final touches on her perfectly carved brows. Her brown nails looked so captivating on her long fingers as they grabbed the contour brush from her dresser.

She dabbed the final touch of powder and after a few purposeful glances, a satisfactory smile made its way to her thin, glossed pink lips.

"Tammy, baby oh my God look at you." A deep, mature voice filled the room. Dele waited a bit by the door to confirm Tamilore was dressed and he could enter.

"You can come in." Her voice was soft and beautiful; her lips moved so nicely like words were made just for her and for her alone. She stood up effortlessly, her legs slipping out of the space she made between the dresser and the chair.

Dele's legs traveled from her toe nails painted a flawless white to her legs, all the way to her exposed shoulders, finally landing on her well sculpted face. Her neon dress exposed her smooth hairless legs in such a way that  Dele had to hold back the urge to lick his black lips. Her legs were so long and beautiful. She was a woman now, a woman.

"Daddy, how do I look? Oh my Goodness you're quiet. Is it bad? Should I change? Daddy say something now." She panicked as she touched her self all over; hoping the old man would tell her where or what she did wrong.

"Daddy talk na. Abi was I wrong to tell Atty not to get a stylist ni? If you you're old sef and you're looking like this imagine what my own age mates would say." She turned around immediately and grabbed a powder brush with plenty wipes. "It's just that atty paid so much for me to learn make up from Zara and I thought I'd do it myself and and..."

He chuckled softly and moved towards her. "Darling you're beautiful. Extremely beautiful, you're like a goddess." He held her hand and led her to the middle of the spacious but we'll utilized room. It even had a music corner.

Her heels clanked softly against the marble floor and each step she took exposed the bloody red bottom of her black open toe gladiator sandals.

"This one that you're growing up now, you're going to leave daddy once you get your fortune. Promise me you'll stay baby, promise me." He said as he grabbed her upper arm, something more than fatherly love filling his eyes.

She laughed freely, throwing her head back as she clutched her stomach lightly. It was obvious they had a good relationship as well as communication.

"Daddy now Ahn Ahn, even if I move out, I'll always be around. You're not getting rid of me anytime soon." She stopped laughing and got a little bit serious. Dele watched closely as her lips spread into a smile, exposing her amazing dentition. "I love y'all. Even grouchy Atty and irresponsible Dekunle and my daddy, my super daddy." She stretched her arms out and wrapped him in a tight hug.

"I have a gift for you sweetie." He reached into the pocket of his starched lace buba and pulled out a rectangle box. He handed it to her and immediately she saw what it was, she screamed.

"Aaaahhh daddy I can't believe you got me an iPhone XMax oh my God." She hugged him repeatedly; over and over again. "But Ahn Ahn now you got me the gold one I wanted silver joor." She feigned anger.

"Better manage it, spoilt girl. I'll be leaving you now." They both went into another fit of laughter before she gave him a final hug. "I'll never leave you daddy."

"Even if you tried, you wouldn't succeed baby." He said to himself.

"What was that?"

"Nothing baby." He replied before he finally left, his brown pam making sweeping noises.

"Good afternoon sir, is Tammy in? I want to see her." A young, dark skinned boy with a very defined jaw line met Dele at the door.

"Listen you bum, stay away from my daughter; I don't want you frolicking with her sho gbo mi?" Dele grabbed his crisp white shirt along with his black tie as he looked at him square in the face. The younger man didn't seem the least bit intimidated by the fat man's threats.

He freed himself from his grip, smoothened his shirt and walked confidently into Tamilore's room.

"Who's the most beautiful girl in the world?" A smug smile made its way to Tamilore's lips as she looked around her room sarcastically.

"Don't kid me baby, you're my miss universe, my beautiful goddess. This one that you're legit now, we can finally do the do" He said seductively with a wink that could take one reeling to space.

"Ode, boyfriend's don't get husband privileges." The handsome boy pulled her in a swift move and gave a slow, passionate kiss which she responded to by putting her arms around his neck.

After about thirty seconds, she pushed him back, slapping his chest furiously. "Ahn Ahn baby what's wrong?"

"Idiot." She muttered furiously.

"Tammy na Wassup?" He asked desperately.

"Ode, Please be going joors." She rolled her eyes lamely.

"Okay, I'll just carry my handsome self and go since you're tired of me." He made mocking moves to leave her room and she quickly draws him back, throwing him into a fit of laughter. "Better tell me what's wrong now."

"Ode, you kissed me with lip gloss on." She said seriously which made him want to laugh but he knew doing that could be even more dangerous than raining bullets.

"Ehn ehnnn?" He asked with the famous expression that seemed to have a thousand meanings.

"Ehn." She replied as she grabbed a small mirror and coated her thin pink lips again. He waited patiently for her to finish glammimg her lips up before pulling her close and giving her another passionate kiss.

"I will kill you Oluwaseyi Morris Idowu." She yelled and he backed away immediately after the kiss and made a run for it. "Better run you hear, better run. Stupid thang." She let out a fond laugh as she glazed her lips with clear lip gloss again. No way she was going out with bare, dull lips.

Seyi walked out of Tamilore's room laughing so hard, he felt it in the depths of his stomach.

A hand suddenly covered his mouth and before he knew what was going on, a small object made it's way straight to seyi's heart and in less than a minute, it became blank...

Heyyy, how y'all doing. This is my first mystery book so please be nice to me:)

Now do something special for me I want to know the detectives among y'all. Pay attention to the clues I left; I know there's pretty much nothing for now but good detectives might figure it out which I highly doubt lol.

1.) Who murdered Seyi?
2.) Who do you think might have kidnapped Tammy from the first chapter?

Remember; every detective relies on his/her instincts and intuition.

I hope you enjoyed!!!
