In Lucy's dream:

"Bye Lucy. I am transferring schools. I'm going to the Fairy Tail Academy of music." Natsu says. (Natsu has black hair in the past. He dyes it when he transfers schools)

"No Natsu. You can't just leave me here." Lucy pleads for him to stay.

"I'm leaving for FTA and you can't stop me. Join me if you really want to. But why would you, we are only friends."

"I want you to stay because I love you Natsu Dragneel. I have always loved you." Lucy says with tears in her eyes.

Natsu turns around to not face her. "Well, you should have told me that before." And with that, he walks away.

Lucy is sobbing on the ground. Levy walks up to her and tells her it's not too late. "we can still see him if we get into the academy. So get up and we are going to practice our musical talents until we make it in."

"You are right Levy. If we get in I can see him." Lucy says that and stands up.

After two tries Levy gets accepted as a songwriter.

After three tries Lucy gets accepted into the singing program.

Once Lucy shows up she feels as though there are a million people in her way of finding Natsu. Then she realizes that it is impossible since his name isn't the same and it had been four years since she had seen him last. (it is four years because she didn't try the year he got accepted)

Lucy wakes up from her dream with tears streaming down her face. At that moment she tells herself. That she is going to give up on Natsu and find someone else.
