And suddenly you are all that exists in my world.

------------------------------------

Being in the nest of his arms, I felt secure. As if those arms could protect me from anything, whether it be the cold wind or my own insecurities.

"What was her name?" Lan Zhan asks softly.

"Quinyang," I say against his shoulder.

"Did you-"

"Love her?" I ask. "No... I want to say did. But the last thing I did for her is playing with her feelings... She deserves better. Everyone does."

"You do too." He says.

I pull away to look at him. His eyes find mine and they remain there for a moment. "After all this, if I say that I love you, will you believe me, Lan Zhan?"

"I will."

And then, I felt his soft lips on mine. We were kissing like we were crazily in love, and I guess we were. I wrap my arms around his neck pulling him close and his hold on my waist tightens.

We pull away, chuckling at each other, and in a matter of seconds, we were kissing again. I could feel him smile against my lips and when we finally end it, it still remained with the same priceless glimmer in his eyes that he had when he was watching me on stage.

"I love you too, Wei Ying," he says.

Oh god, can hearts beat this fast? I hope Lan Zhan doesn't have to call an ambulance to this cliff.

Still unwilling to let go, we stare down at the city in each other's embrace, just like we did back then.

"This is where you wanted to take me that day." He says.

"Hmm, it is," I reply.

I have no idea how this amazing human being does it, I feel whole, completed.

I feel loved.

That night, for the first time, we climb down the cliff together. Lan Zhan's car was parked on the side of the road down the cliff. I have no idea how the hell I didn't see it. We get in and Lan Zhan starts the engine, and we talk about anything and everything. Mostly, it was just me talking and him acknowledging, but I didn't mind it. I enjoy his frequent 'mn's and comments that came out once in a while. It goes from what he did abroad to studies to curriculums to friends to music, so on and so forth.

"What? You can play the piano?" I exclaim. "How did I not know about it?"

"I never told you." He replies.

"And I thought the piano you have at your place is just an exhibit."

"It was, at first. Then Uncle made me learn."

At that moment I realize that there was another thing that I felt insecure about.

"Lan Zhan, what will your uncle say about you dating me? I mean... another man?"

I know it's too late to worry about it when we've made the move already. And it's even later to worry about worrying, because I've already voiced the question, and Lan Zhan was thinking about it.

"I don't know," he replies. "What about your Uncle?"

Funny, I have the same answer. "I don't know," I reply, smiling at the irony. "Guess we have a totally new level of adventures to explore."

He smirks. "We do."

Something told me that his smirk had more meaning behind...

Somewhere along the way, I turn on the radio, because I like traveling with music, and by the looks of it Lan Zhan didn't mind either. I sing along to it, making a small smile appear in the corners of Lan Zhan's lips.

It takes a bit longer than usual to reach my apartment building. Nothing was surprising about it, I figured out that Lan Zhan was driving way too slowly a while ago.

When Lan Zhan stops the car I lean over to his seat and place a kiss on his lips. "Love you," I whisper and his ears blush in an instant. I caress them, still just a few centimeters away from his face. "This is the cutest thing about you."

It was his turn to stop me talking with his mouth. It continues for a while till I pull away, and look at him. He clearly wanted more. I smirk at him. "See you later. Text me when you go home." I say as I get down.

"Love you too." He says.

Dear heart, calm down.

He waits till I reach the elevator to drive away. Inside, I practically meditate to control my smile. I'm sure, the security guy watching the CCTVs will think that I'm a psychopath.

As soon as I open the main door, Shijie asks, "Xian, is that you."

"Yeah, it's me."

"Come have dinner."

By the time I wash my face and go to have dinner, Cheng was halfway through his plate.

"Where the hell were you?" he barks as soon as he sees my face.

Cheng is a walking piece of Sodium waiting to blast at any moment. That's the way he is. Yes, it is annoying sometimes, but we know that we've got each other's back no matter what.

"You're asking me?" I ask with a smirk. He wasn't home even when I headed out.

"I was at Qing's."

"I was walking around."

"Now, stop that you two," Shijie says. Well, she's the #1 fan of our arguments, and she knows when to stop us.

I give her my smile and Cheng scoffs. I serve myself some chicken and start eating.

"What happened with Sang? He's sent all of us some twenty or so messages asking to check on you."

Sang, Sang. He does have a runny mouth, but when he spills something he gets into a really shit mood. I should talk to him.

"He told Lan Zhan about what happened," I reply

"Shit." He says and I shrug.

"Did you talk to him?" Shijie asks.

"Yeah. We're good." Way better than good.

"For sure?" Cheng asks. After what even he had to go through because of me, it's totally fair for him to ask it.

"For sure," I confirm.

He nods. "Qing asked if we want to hang out on Sunday."

"I'm so in." It's been a while since we actually hung out except for the gigs.

"Let's ask the others then." He says.

"Shijie, are you joining?" I ask. She and Qing are best friends. So usually she joins us when we hang out. To be honest, it's a great help, there has to be a responsible adult to take our drunk asses home.

"Not this time, Xian. I have to meet Zixuan's parents on Sunday. You know how busy they are. If I postpone it, I'll have to wait till next Sunday."

Jin Zixuan's is an arrogant asshole. If he speaks ten words, nine of them are about himself or what he can do. But, my sister, who's the definition of gentleness got into an arranged engagement with him and later, for some reason, I can't figure out at all, fell for him. Well, if that's her happiness, I don't think that there's much we can do about it.

"You'll miss it," Cheng says.

"I know." She pats his head. "I'll tell Qing that I'm not coming. You guys have fun."

The two of us nod.

That night I text Lan Zhan

<Me>
Lan Zhan
Free on Sunday?

I get a reply almost immediately.

<Lan Zhan>
Yes, nothing planned yet.

<Me>
We're going out. Do you want to join?

<Lan Zhan>
Okay. I'll come.
Where are we going?

<Me>
Didn't plan yet. I'll let you know.

<Lan Zhan>
Okay.

<Me>
I guess you're going to sleep now...

<Lan Zhan>
Yes

<Me>
I won't keep you up then
Tonight

I imagine Lan Zhan's reddened ears

<Lan Zhan>
Shameless

<Me>
Let's see about that ;-)
Good night

<Lan Zhan>
Good night.
