In Memoriam
Third person POV
In the following days, Feyre still continued to have nightmares about what happened, and either Az or Rhys would be there to gently wake her and console her fears and listen to the horrors that continued to plague her mind.
Feyre woke up to storm cloud gathering in the sky, the wind slightly blowing their curtains back and forth. Rhys stirred next to her and gave her a lopsided grin. His bedhead hair sticking up every which way only seemed to make her more attractive.
Feyre smiled at him and kissed him on the lips, and turned to get out of bed only to be encircled by Rhys' muscular arms.
"Rhys!" Feyre whined. "I need to go check on Bash."
"Not yet. He's still sleeping." He said lowly.
Feyre sat in the middle of the bed while he continued to stroke his hands up and down her arms. Rhys started to leave little kisses down her shoulders, slowly trailing them down her back.
Feyre let out a small moan and turned around to catch Rhys' mouth with her own. Their kiss was slow and steady, saying everything they couldn't put into words.
Rhys slowly laid Feyre down onto their bed and removed his and her bottoms. Next, Feyre's top was in the corner of the room right along with they're pants.
Rhys gazed at Feyre's body, clothed in black lingerie. His eyes darkened as he drank in her body. "You." He said. "You are so beautiful."
He kissed her again, this time fast and hungry. Like he was dying to breathe and she was the only source oxygen for him. Rhys stripped her of the rest of her clothes and started to kiss along her jaw, her neck, down her collarbone, past her stomach, along the inside of her thighs, leaving little marks to mark his territory.
Without warning to Feyre, he snaked his hands along her hips, holding her down as he started to feast on her, his personal breakfast for the day.
Feyre moaned loud, only encouraging Rhys to go on more. She dug her fingernails into his back as he continued to pleasure her.
"Rhys." Feyre rasped. "Please."
Rhys continued to ignore her as she came in his mouth, sending her from one orgasm to another.
Rhys finally let go and looked at Feyre. He licked his lips and said, "I'm not done yet." He crawled on top of Feyre and kissed her next as he slowly slid into Feyre, waiting for her to adjust. When he was all of the way in, she let out a low moan in his ear, kissing his back.
Rhys let out a growl and slowly slid out back and forth, kissing her hungrily. He pounded into her as she let out a loud moan and screamed his name, continuing to claw at his back.
Feyre could feel the tight knot in her stomach dissipate as Rhys pulled out, leaving his seed in her. Rhys and Feyre both laid back on the bed, panting. Slowly, Rhys rolled over and picked up his shirt off the floor next to his bed, where he left it last night before he went to bed, and reached over to clean her up.
Rhys sighed contently as he wiped his remnants off of her sex and smiled down at her.
"Thank you." He said, quietly.
Feyre looked over at him and gave him a lazy smile. "The pleasure is all mine."
Feyre turned back to the other side of her body, gazing out the open, balcony doors at the gathering storm clouds, a cry of thunder in the distance. She sighed.
"Rhys?" She questioned.
"Yes my love?" He asked, rubbing his hand the length of her arm.
"There's somewhere I have to go today, but I don't want to go alone. I need you to come with me."
"Anywhere." He replied.

Feyre and Rhys winnowed to Shadow Lake together. Rhys hung back under an old wilting willow, while Feyre silently walked over to the boulder that marked the death of her old friend.
Feyre crouched down and laid her hand on the rock. "Hey old friend, It's been awhile." She smiled softly as placed her extended hand back her lap, tears starting to well up in her eyes.
"I'm sorry I didn't come sooner. I was kidnapped." She said, jokingly, attempting to lighten the somber mood.
Thunder rumbled in the distance, slowly followed by lightening. The storm cloud were growing darker and darker by the minute.
"Before I go, I just want to say something that's been on my chest for awhile. I haven't been honest with myself." She took a deep breath.
"I feel so guilty over what happened to you. I feel so guilty that you were trying to save me and ended up getting caught in the crossfire, literally." She joked, wiping away the tears that fell down her face.
"You would still be alive if it weren't for me, finding new lovers and watching Bash for me." Feyre said, her voice cracking.
"I understand if you're angry with me, I'm angry with me as well. I will always carry this on my back, because it indeed was my fault."
As it started to rain, she stood up, unable to tell the difference between her tears and the rain.
"Goodbye Mor. I'll be back soon." Feyre kissed her hand as she laid it down on the rock and walked back towards Feyre. She didn't doubt for a second that her mate heard the whole conversation but if he did, he didn't say anything. He just wrapped his arms around her as they watched the rain come down all around them, the tree doing lots to protect them from the rain.

After Rhys winnowed them back to their home, the rain had been pouring for a good while, the streets empty except for the few people bustling to and fro.
Rhys and Feyre laid on the couch, her head in his lap as he bent over to work on some more paper work that needed to get done.
Cassian walked around the corner from the kitchen. He stopped when Rhys looked up from his paperwork to see who had come in.
Is she alright? Cassian asked on the mind link he had with Rhys, for fear of waking Feyre up.
She just fell asleep. We visited Mor today, and she took it really hard. She blames herself for what happened to my cousin and she's constantly beating herself up over what happened. Rhys replied. I just wish there was a way to let her know that this wasn't her fault, you know? That no one here remotely blames her, except for herself. I wish there I could tell her that there were so many variables that happened that night, that if she even at least tried to prevent one, then there would have been ten more that played into effect.
I get where she was coming from. Cassian replied. Mor was going to protect her when she got hit and killed.
That's true but Mor wasn't just my cousin, you know? She was my third-in-command, sworn to protect Feyre's life. Look, I'm not saying that her death hasn't gone unnoticed. I'm just saying, Mor would've given her life to save Feyre's in a heartbeat. Rhys sighed.
Rhys picked up Feyre's headed and placed it on the coach, pulling the blanket over her body. He stood up and walked towards Cassian. I've got somewhere I need to be, will you stay with her? He inquired.
Of course I will.
And with that, Rhys kissed Feyre's forehead and winnowed to Azriel.
