Mother's Day Special

Jess' POV

----- Approximately 20 years before Aphmau came to Phoenix Drop -------------------------

I slipped out of bed, and silently dressed myself. It was not yet 6:30 in morning. I pushed open my door, wincing as it swung creaked loudly.

I tiptoed down the hall towards my little brother's room. In the darkness, I slipped over to his bed, and shook him awake.

"Jin. Jin. Wake up little bro." I whispered into his ear. His eyes shot open, and he began to shout. I quickly muffled it with my hand though. His eyes widened, and then they met mine.

"Jess - what the?" He whispered, sensing that it was what I wanted.

"Jin, it's Mother's Day. We have to make a cake." I reminded him. He nodded. The two of us crept down the stairs to the kitchen.

----- Several Burnt Pancakes and much wasted frosting later--------

Just as I flipped the last pancake onto the platter and set it onto the little table, Jin finished icing the pancake that we had decided to write "Happy Mothers Day" on. We set that onto the plate, added some flowers, and we took the plater upstairs.

------TOMESKIPS CUZ ITS SO LATE--------

After a VERY messy breakfeast, the whole family,which consisted of me, Jin, Mom, and Dad, all took our traditional holiday photo, and added it to the photobook. Then, while Jin & I flipped through the photobook, mom and dad cleaned up.

As I got to the photos of us on our way home from the hospital, I noticed something I'd never seen before. When I pointed it out to Jin, he agreed it was strange. I turned to mom.

"Hey mom?"

"Yeah Jess?"

"How come there is a different daddy in my baby photo then in Jin's?" Mom and Dad exchanged a look.

"Well, hunny, I used to be married to another man. Before Jin's lovely daddy and I met. That man was your father. But... then he, Thor, had to go away. I then met Eric here, and we had Jin here!"

"Awww.... Sylvanna..." Dad kissed mom, and Jin & I took that as our cue to leave.

Also - I'm going to explain something now. Aphmau CAN have both a brother/family/Mother AND be Irene. My theory is that, in case you didn't catch it, is that a Norse god, Thor, is her father. Because such an important child was born, some higher power used Irene's soul to give the baby extra power. Irene was then pulled into this new life, as Aphmau. This is part of why she feels so different from Irene. When Vylad used Irene's staff, it pulled Aphmau there, because she contained Irene's soul. Irene's actual body was destroyed along with her dimension.

This theory also explains why Irene was imortal, but Aphmau appears to be able to sustain injury and probably die.
