(That was just the intro here comes the fun)

"Annabel wait up!" My best friend Litho yelled across the hall. Litho wasn't her real name but ever since third grade I called her that. I stood waiting for her to catch up as the crowds on either side of the hall shoved against me. Her smile managed to cheer me up more than usual,which was a blessing.

"What's up?" I asked trying to sound casual and look cooler than I am. As I said before I'm a nerd there for practically nobody likes me for who I am. She rolled her eyes at my sly attempt, earning a laughing from me.

"Nothing really." Litho replied. "I just didn't want my best friend to leave me behind." She looked at the ground, worry or possibly concern left in her eye. I watched her fidget with her shirt, her hair fell into her face.

"I would never just leave you all alone in this prison known more commonly as high school." I replied. "Especially since we both have a mutual disdain for the human populace in general." Translation for those of you that don't speak nerd: I wouldn't leave you alone here. Especially since we both don't really like people. It was a normal thing for us to exchange nerd talk.

Litho laughs a bit at that. "Yes we do." She replies, and we walk towards the next dreaded class. We walked into the room, and parted ways for the rest of class.

A few periods later I wasn't feeling well. Not sick enough to go to the nurse but still not well. It felt like my blood was boiling and I was really hot. I wipe my forehead with the back of my hand, realizing how much I was actually sweating. The room felt on fire, and couldn't escape it. I read a book to pass the time because, as usual, I finished all my classwork and homework before the class was half over. Something about how quiet it felt, it was wrong. Someone had to be watching me, though when didn't they? I was the freak at the school.

The last bell of the day rings, resulting in the halls becoming crowded again. I turned around in the hall, looking for Litho. She wasn't anywhere to be found, so I decided it would be best to just get on the bus. I got my own seat, which was the usual for me. I hated being without Litho.

Later that day Litho and I go see a movie. She had to go home after the movie, but I was hungry so I decided to go out and get food. While standing in line the strangest thing happened.
