The Moon's Snake- Part 1

Okay, journal, so after that thing happened with the reveal I saw in the Tarron's window, I freaked out. I ran home, or, at least, tried to stagger at an average pace. All that went through my mind was that they were all from Akiridion-5. They were all my enemies. They....are who my family wanted to kill. They would all be dead if  my stupid family had succeeded in blowing up their planet. If they  knew who I was, they would kill me. After I had managed to get home, I did the unthinkable, something that proved my heritage, that I was no better than my parents.

I killed Axalan.

I had just gotten home, slamming open the front door. Axalan stood on the other side, her face twisted in concern.

"What's wrong, my dear?" she had asked

"Akiridions..." I gasped in return.

Axalan's face hardened, and her usually jovial smile turned into a scowl as she took out her Gastrak "WHERE?" She yelled out at the top of her robotic voice "WHERE ARE THEY?!!!"

I had begun to cry by then, thinking about how she would kill my friends. My mouth opened, but what came out surprised me. I was wanting to say something about my friends, but instead, I choked out "My parents. Why did they kill so many? Why?" I looked up at her through my tear-blurred eyes.

Axalan put away her Gastrak, any thought of  killing the mysterious Akiridions gone from her head "Oh, child." She had whispered, pulling me into a hug. "It's okay. They were just expendables."

I had pulled my head back to look at her better "What?"

"The Akiridion planets. All of them were expendables. Akiridion-4's are the superior race." I was shocked. The words were sugar coated, not matching what she was saying "The Great Gaylen made us to be rulers of the rest of the Akridions. They all pulled us down, holding our superior trait back. So, naturally, dear, we had to take care of them."

I pressed my head against her shoulder, thinking about what she had said. This wasn't my Axalan, no. Not the one who raised me. This was something else, some monster my parents had sent with me to raise me to be just as blood-thirsty as they were. My whole life....was a lie. All those times that she had taught me history, I had never noticed that she painted Hitler in a different light than my History teachers at school did. She made him seem a little bit more like a hero.

She was a monster, just like him.

I raised my head once again, my face just inches from hers. I looked into her eyes, those sweet, glimmering robotic eyes that I once thought were so kind. But I know better now. Those eyes are snake eyes.

"Remeber who the enemies are." She said kindly.

"I know." I had replied, still searching for some humanity, some compassion, in her eyes. "But it's not the 5th Akiridions."

I twitched my hand, and my Gastrak, turned into a spear, had plunged itself into Axalan's chest.

She gasped as life drained from her eyes.

"It's you." I growled, twisting it even deeper into her.

And she fell, dead.

A snake that would no longer bite the innocent.

_______________

I put my journal down, and took a long, shuddering breath. My tears had subsided, but not before several drops had found their way onto the page I was writing on.

I looked over at the empty droid a couple of feet away from me. A gaping hole was exposing all of the wires in her chest.

I sighed. Picked up my phone next to me. Dialing a number.

There was a click.

"Hello?" A voice asked.

"Hey, Krel." I said "Can I come over? We need to talk about something. Something important."
