Krel's PoV

Saturday morning, my alarm went off at six o'clock. I reached over and slapped it. I rolled onto my back and took some deep breaths to calm my core. Today's the day! I had a new, and a first, friend!

My phone buzzed on my nightstand. I reached over, picked it up, and held it up over my head.

It was Luna.

Hey, Krel! Are you up?

I texted back; Yeah

She replied almost instantly. Well, good morning, then! Are we still up for today?

Of course! By the way, my grandpa Geezer wants to meet you. He's a little... overprotective, so be prepared!!!!😓

😂Ok, I will be! I'll be over in an hour!

I smiled and put down my phone. I closed my eyes, thinking of my first conversation with her, which was only yesterday. Hmm, hard to believe that I only met her yesterday. Do humans really make friends this easily? I got lost in my thoughts, and all went dark.

"Krel!" Cried Aja, bursting into my room in her human form "Are you ready for today?"

I moaned grumpily as she grabbed my shoulders and shook me, then grabbed my arms and pulled me up.

"Aja, stoppit." I groaned. "I can get up myself, you know."

"Apparently not, little brother." She shook her head "You have overslept. Your new friend is here."

I jumped up out of the bed "WHAT?! How? Oh... I must have mistakenly fallen back asleep! Kleb!" I looked down myself, it, more specifically, my four arms. "She can't see me like this! What do I do? I can't get to the transduction chamber with her here!"

"I will open a path to the chamber, my Royal." Mother said, appearing suddenly.

"Great!" Aja cried "You go change, and I'll take care of her. Be quick about it, though, little brother!"

"Okay, okay." I said, shaking my head to clear out the fog in it "Wait...how's she doing with Varvatos?"

"Just get changed, and you'll see!" Aja growled impatiently, waving her hands in the air.

I finished getting the transduction, and I hurried into the kitchen, fearing the worst. Varvatos hates her. He thinks she's a spy, she's found out our secret and Vex is now torturing her....

I peeked around the corner and stared at the scene I saw.

Vex was in a fighting pose, apparently demonstrating a battle scene, and Aja was whispering in Luna's ear.

And Luna... Luna was laughing hysterically, from Varvatos or Aja, I couldn't tell.

"Hey, Krel!" Luna gasped, out of breath "You're up!"

"Hi. Apologies, Luna. I must have fallen asleep after you texted me." I said, rubbing my neck shyly.

"It's fine." She replied "Your grandfather was telling me about his very active lifestyle. He's quite entertaining."

"There are flapjacks on the counter, little brother." Aja pointed out.

I grabbed a flapjacks and munched on it absentmindedly. "Well, I wish you could've met our parents, but they're... sleeping in." The blanks were recharging for the day.

"Varvatos is enjoying the presence of your new friend, young prince." Vex cried out, slapping me on the back. "Clearly she is not dangerous, as no..." he lowered his voice "Bounty Hunter is this glorious! She has been honored with the presence and tales of the great Varvatos Vex's many battles and glorious deaths he has enacted!"

"So, you like her?" I asked hopefully, listening to her and Aja laughing over something, hopefully not me. That would not be favorable.

"Most Gloriously!" He yelled. Luna and Aja looked at him, then began to laugh again.

"So, when were you two going to leave?" Aja asked, standing up and taking my flapjacks, eating the remains quickly before I could stop her.

Luna glanced at me "Whenever Krel's ready."

I punched Aja's shoulder as she tried to reach over me to get to the plate of leftovers. "I'm ready now. If you want to go now, of course."

She nodded. "Yeah. Let's go."

We headed out the door, with Varvatos' regular "Be careful, my Prince! Varvatos will see you soon!"

And so the day had begun.
