Everything changed after I time traveled. I never thought I'd be able to see my family again after that. Some militia blew up the warehouse that Ashley's uncle lived in. Even the time machine didn't survive the blast. So after that, I went home to my family. It'd been 6 months since I'd seen Ashley. I didn't dare talk to her until I saw her at Lowes one day. I bumped into her while looking for some wood. "Oh, sorry." I said as I looked to see who I bumped into. "It's ok." she said as she looked up from her notebook she was writing in. "Oh, hi." I said. "Hi." she said. We stared at each other and didn't move. My brother Jack came up behind me and pointed to the pile of wood next to me. "That's it." he said with happiness. It was was a pile of mahogany. I grabbed a few logs and slid them onto a cart. After that, I told Ashley to meet up at the warehouse in a couple hours.

                                                                                                                         I looked at the rubble of the old warehouse and thought about what I could've done to prevent it. Ashley came up behind me and hugged me. I hugged her back and turned back to face the debris. She stood at my side and looked at it with me. "What did you want to see me about?" she asked with curiosity. "Needed to get away from my brother for a bit. Also, I wanted to talk to you." I said. We talked and some time after we had finished talking about what had been going on for the past 6 months, a swirling green and red vortex appeared and two people came out of it. One was in full black body armor and the other one was in a brown cloak and had pure black eyes. Little did I know, this was going to be the end of my normal life forever...
