I should be running,

you keep me coming for you

I wake up with a headache and to a sound of someone cursing.

I open my eyes and just groan, staring up at the ceiling. I hear a few more curse words coming from the kitchen.

I get out of the bed and put on one of Fai's jackets that I find in his closet. "What the hell is up your ass this morning?" I ask him, going to the fridge and taking out the orange juice.

Fai just looks at me. It seems like I'm not getting any good morning from him. "You're finally up. You need to go."

I bring the glass with the juice to my lips and raise my eyebrows. "Where?" I ask after taking a sip.

He scowls at me, tapping his knuckles against the table. "Home."

I lick my lips. "Why? Do you have to be somewhere?" I ask him, looking him up and down, noticing he's fully dressed. "What time is it?"

"Ten," He says courtly. "Get dressed. We're going in five minutes."

"So much for the hospitality," I mutter when I walk past him. I get dressed but I take longer than five minutes just to piss him off even more. I redo my ponytail a few times just to pass my time. I make sure I have no messages from Harp which is kind of suspicious at this time.

Fai isn't the one to knock on the door, he just barges in. "The hell's taking you so long?"

I'm in the middle of taking a selfie and I make a kissing face and look at him, snapping a photo. "Wanna take a selfie with me?"

He grimaces. "No, I wanna go."

"Fuck, you're grumpy in the morning," I state. He just gives me a glare. I grin in return and dance towards him, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

He drops me off at Harper's place and drives off. When I get to Harper's apartment, I immediately hear the music blasting. And a love song out of all! It's not even 11 am.

I reluctantly step in, the door unlocked. I cautiously go forward, finding Harper in the living room laying on the couch, her eyes closed.

I turn the volume down and Harper's eyes snap open. "Hello? I came to kidnap you. Not that you'd hear."

"Oh. Hi. You aren't in school?" Harper asks, not even moving.

"No. Overslept. The fuck's wrong with you listening to this shit in the morning?"

Harper shrugs. "I just like it."

I raise my eyebrow. "Since when?"

Harper closes her eyes again. "Since yesterday."

What. The. Fuck.

I go to the couch, standing over her, putting my hands on my hips, looking down on her. "Are you alright?"

She smiles but she doesn't open her eyes. "Yes. Just stressed out because of college. This is my way of relaxing."

Huh. "Okay," I say, happy that she didn't go crazy. "I'll grab a shower and something to eat before going to school."

"You're late already."

"I can still catch three classes. Can't fuck up with my attendance too much."

I get a text from Fai when I'm in the middle of the class, finishing a drawing of the lion on his back.

Are you at home?

I think about lying to him, but then I remember this will piss him off even further.

At school. Thinking about me? 🖤

He types,

Yeah, my sixth sense told me you did something stupid. I'm picking you up when you'll finish.

My eyebrows raise.

Not even asking when I'm done?

Fai replies immediately.

No need. I already know.

Of course he does. This is starting to get a little creepy.

Stalker 😗

He doesn't respond this time.

"Miss Myers, put your phone away. First and last warning."

I look at the professor. I grab my bag and hold eye contact with her, smiling as I put it in. "Done, professor." I want to wink so badly, but I hold myself back since I don't have time for detention.

Fai is waiting for me outside school, parked right in the front and leaning against his motorcycle, wearing shades and looking all badass. I can't lie he doesn't make a great sight because he is hot.

I walk to him, leaning up and peck his lips. "Take me somewhere to eat."

He takes the shades off so I can see the disbelief on his face. "Hello to you, too. Who do you think I am?"

"Who do you want to be?" I wink.

I take the helmet and put it on. I notice Fai is looking somewhere in the distance and as I turn around, I see Mandy the bitch looking at us. "Ah. Long lost lovers," I taunt.

Fai doesn't comment. "Just get on the bike."

I climb behind him and just because I feel like proving a point to Mandy, who thinks she rules the goddamn school and is so pretty she could have anyone, I wrap my arms all around Fai's torso and lean my head on his back. If I wasn't wearing a helmet, she'd see me smirking.

"So, what's the deal with you and Mandy?" I slurp the coke. Fai decided he's too cool to eat with me while I had no trouble ordering a cheeseburger, big French fries and a Coca-Cola while also eyeing ice-cream to order for dessert.

He's sitting across me, one arm extended on the seat, the other supporting his head as he's looking at me. "Don't have a deal with no one."

"Oh, come on. You two clearly know each other, so it must be something."

"What do you want me to say? She wants me to fuck her. I don't. That's it."

I'm eating a french fry, my eyes narrowing. "Mandy wants you to screw her and you're saying you don't want to? Yeah, right." I roll my eyes.

He taps his hand against the seat, looking all relaxed there, almost half laying. "The fuck did you want me to tell you? She's not my type." He grimaces.

"Who are you trying to fool here? She's every guy's wet dream. Please."

He gives me an annoyed look. "Clearly not every."

"Huh," I say to myself, smiling. Someone who sees her for who she really is and not just who she's trying to fool everyone she is. She might be hot but she's brainless. And I'm not the one to judge people but she deserves my judgment.

"Will you be done soon? I have to be somewhere."

"Seems like you're a very busy guy," I note. I take my half-finished cheeseburger and take it to his mouth. "Want a bite? I was thinking about getting an ice-cream."

Fai scowls and I push the cheeseburger closer to his mouth before he could voice his protest. He takes a large bite of the food.

"Good, huh?" I ask him while popping another french fry into my mouth.

He moves his head away when I want to feed him another fry. "Stop this shit," he mutters, looking around. I rub my lips together, trying not to smile.

"Will you buy me ice cream?" I ask him.

He tilts his head to the side, giving me an incredulous look. "I'm not buying you shit. We're going."

I grimace. "You're such a party breaker, Jesus Christ." I have to pay for my food and leave the restaurant because I'm pretty sure he'd leave me here otherwise, the fucker. He's by his motorcycle, smoking a cigarette. "Give me one," I demand. If I couldn't get ice cream because of him, I can at least have a cigarette.

He actually holds out the box for me to take out a cigarette without any objections. "Hurry up. I have somewhere to be." He takes out his phone and texts someone.

"You're in a really bad mood," I notice.

Fai doesn't say anything.

I smoke the rest of the cigarette quietly, not bothering with him anymore.

Fai doesn't take me home. He takes me to some abandoned building that's God knows where. "You could at least tell me you were kidnapping me. I had plans for the day."

"I'm not kidnapping you," Fai mutters, walking towards the entrance. I notice other motorcycles parked outside and I soon figure out what's going on. Are they planning something? Or is this their meet-up point?

I hear the laughter before we even come inside. I have no idea why he took me here. Maybe he'll try to kill me. They all will. That'd be fun to watch.

I walk in beside Fai, my hands in the back pockets of my jeans, my posture relaxed and confident. "Hey, guys!" I greet them cheerfully. Fai gives me a look that tells me to shut up, but I enjoy too much wiping the guys' smiles off their faces.

"Dude. What the fuck?" Ante asks.

"No. Why the fuck?" Cruz chimes in, sitting up on the couch he was previously laying on. I go and plop down on the couch next to him and he just gives me a weird look.

"Because why the fuck not? Right, Fai?" I look at him and give him a wink.

Fai walks to me with his jaw clenched. He leans down, grabbing my chin. "Stay here. Don't move and, for God's sake, stop talking."

I put my hand on his wrist and give him a seductive look, licking my upper lip. "Make me."

His hold on my jaw tightens, but he's not hurting me. I don't know what he's afraid of. He looks at my eyes for long moments before he leans back and releases me.

"Hey, maybe you should bring your cousin with you the next time. Just to lighten up our Jon here a little bit," Ante calls and Bastian whistled and then chuckles with him.

"Yeah, bring Jon's crush next time so he won't be so stuck up anymore."

I don't think of Jon as a stuck up. He's more mature than these idiots around him and of course that makes them think he's uptight.

"Are you going to bring your asses here and get your head straight or you want to continue acting like you need a babysitter?" Fai snaps at them.

"Jesus fuck," Cruz mutters. "Maybe suck his dick the next time so he'll chill out." Fai glares at him.

"Doesn't help. I tried. It just might be his personality." I shrug. I'm the one that gets a glare next. I give Fai an innocent smile and make a heart with my hands. He just sighs.

"Can we get to business or what?" Fai snaps.

They all scatter around the big table that's standing almost in the centre of the room. There are no chairs around so they stand. They talk quietly, mostly Fai, I notice, but I don't bother to listen to what they're saying. I'm not the one to eavesdrop.

I look around the big room. It's chill in here. It has no windows, but the trees and the bushes around prevent from anyone to see in and us seeing out. And the room we're in is pretty empty, aside from the big table, a few old chairs by the wall, the small couch I'm sitting on and another table, a smaller one.

I quickly get bored and get off the couch and walk around the room, just looking out the windows. I wouldn't even notice the guys giving me wary looks if Fai didn't just say, "Ignore her," to the boys and, "Kadie, can you please sit the fuck down and chill?" to me.

I scowl at him. "I am chilling."

He hits the table with his hand, giving me a hard look. "Stop being childish."

I show him my tongue just to annoy him even further, but I go sit down on the other table in the room because I have nothing else to do anyway. We're literally in the middle of nowhere. When I take my phone out, I see I don't even have any signal here.

But what I do have is some music on my phone. I put some on, turning the volume up. I don't even have to look to know they're all giving me some death stares right now.

I don't see Fai until he snatches the phone from my hands. He stands so close to me that his thighs touch my knees. I have to lean back a little, my head falling back so I can look at him.

"Can you, for the love of God, please just stop and let us work? I'll take you home afterwards straight away, but you really have to let us finish."

A smirk falls on my face. I lock my feet behind his legs, pulling him even closer to me. "Kiss me," I tell him.

He leans back so he can get a full look of my face.

I wrap my arms around his neck. "Kiss me," I repeat.

"What the hell is your problem?"

"Do it," I tell him. "Kiss me." A challenge appears in his eyes. I'm not challenging him. I'm simply telling him. I don't push his head down, either, when I could simply do it. Or I could kiss him myself. But I want him to do it.

And he does. It's supposed to be a peck or a slow kiss from his side, but I want more. I always want everything or nothing. The full deal. I kiss him like I wanted him to kiss me; with no restraint, losing himself completely and forgetting about the world for just a minute.

I pull back first and I smile at him. "That's all I really wanted. I'll leave you all alone to finish and go outside. You can give me my phone back later." I don't ask for a phone back because I simply want to show him that, somehow, I trust him and I'm not calling anyone and rat them out.

I lightly push him away so I can jump down from the table. I turn around to look back when I'm at the old door only to find him still standing there and looking at me in confusion and, well, lust.

I wink at him and go outside.

I don't know for how long I walk around. I don't hear any cars, so I know the road isn't anywhere near. And all around me is forest, so I don't want to get a chance to get lost by going inside. I only walk around, in all ways of the building. I find an apple tree and there are still some good apples left on it, among most of them lying on the floor.

I pick one and play with it when I go back inside. All heads turn upon my arrival and I salute them. "What are you planning for so long, a goddamn war?" I mutter and sit on the same table I was sitting on before.

"You know, we could wrap it up," Cruz says, stretching. Fai lifts an eyebrow at him, but Jon jumps in before he could say something to him.

"He's right. We have it all covered, man."

"Yeah, you better do," Fai says seriously, looking each of them in the eyes.

Ante is the first to walk away and he comes straight to where I'm sitting, minding my own business and wiping the apple in my shirt. "Quite a show you made before," He says, leaning against the table.

"You can join the next time," I say mockingly and end another glare from Fai. He's putting together the papers on the table while chatting with Jon.

Ante makes a face beside me. "No offence, but neither of you two are my type. I like 'em quiet."

"Mmm," I murmur. "I bet you do. That's also the difference between you and Fai. He knows how to make them quiet."

"He sure doesn't with you because he could put tape over your mouth and you'd still be running it."

I put my hand over my chest. "My, oh my. You know me so well."

I notice Fai wraps it up and is ready to leave. He doesn't say anything, he automatically assumed I'll just follow him. The ego of this man!

"I don't, which is why you should better stay away from Fai before you get his head up in the clouds where it absolutely shouldn't be and serve us his dick on a plate."

I grimace. "Classy. I love your imagination and your dark fantasies. Keep it up, maybe they become real one day." I take a bite into the apple. "What Fai and I have is none of your goddamn business. Mind your own, yeah?" I chew the piece of apple I took and push the bitten apple into his chest so he has to take it before I jump down and run after Fai, putting my hair out from under my jacket so it falls down my back, not bothered to put it up.

When I reach him, I grab his hand in mine. He doesn't react in any way, just squeezes my hand and out we go.

Ok so Kadie clearly knows how to show some affection when she wants to
