Last Return
~°°~
That girl always has to die it seems. Nothing had changed for these past returns. The story follows the same way it was supposed to be. This world burns and fades away—and no constellations nor gods will care because well, the universe expands, too big to care about a foretold stardust. You know, this story was once a favorite. But then, I kept returning and returning with no changes in hopes of something... I guess. I'm not sure anymore.
Eventually they got bored.
I must have had a family once. Perhaps, that's why I've been writing and hoping I'd finally get out.
I've been rewriting, returning for decades now. Maybe more than that. Ironically, I have forgotten the concept of time. Days and nights to months and years to centuries and decades, and to beyond—a decadence of numbers rising, swift and unending. In the end, the complexity of immortality can just be summed by a blink. Forevermore is just a day. One long, shitty day.
If I stop writing, I'll die. That's okay. I think I have forgotten what I was writing for anyways.
This will be my last return. I'm so sorry. I don't want to fight anymore. I'm tired. Dear stranger, who's looking at me through the cosmos. Sit with me once again for the last time in this vast void. I'll try once again to tell you a happy ending. And after that?
I think I'm ready to give up.
