They said that the night skies were very pretty. At that time, I didn't know if that was true. All I knew were the planets and that Jupiter was ginormous, Pluto was not and Saturn had many rings. How could I not when you repeat it so meticulously?

If I had known that our world would end tomorrow, I would have kissed you then and there. I would have hugged your fragile, scarred skin until the night faded away.

"Run with me," I said to you instead. "Run with us. We'd be a family, we'd be free—just the three of us." Where you asked. Outer space. Saturn, I remember saying, grinning. Somewhere no one would get us. We don't have rings so I didn't tell you I love you. Simply, I believed that Saturn would have enough for us.
