No one's POV:
Macrafta drew a carved wooden sword and ran at the two invading thugs. They smirked believing that she couldn't do anything to them; they were dead wrong. She managed to get the bats out of their grips and passed them to Rebekah, who held them in a threatening way. By this time, Midnight had dropped by to check on Macrafta and saw everything.

Midnight's POV:
It was finally dark and I was able to leave and go check on Macrafta. I ran along the rooftops and came to a stop at her shop. I could see people inside so I dropped into the alleyway and could hear everything that was happening inside. One of the voices sounded familiar, I soon realized that it was the same thug from the night before. He was confronting her about the night before but she was acting like she had no idea what he was talking about. At first, I was slightly hurt and thought she was acting like we had never met. But I then heard the thug say, "You think that's funny girl?!" And she responded with, "Hey! You're dealing with me! Remember?" I then realized that she was acting to keep our encounter a secret to anyone else who was inside. I then heard the thug respond and another female voice saying Macrafta's name uneasy. She responded with a simple, "Don't worry. I got this." That was followed by a bunch of loud thumps. I peeked in through the side window and saw her fighting two thugs with a wooden sword. The two must have underestimated her because she knocked their bats out of their hands fairly quick and passed them to her friend. They tried to hand to hand fight her, but she was too good for them to beat. I was thurowly impressed by how well she fought and how swift of a person she was. "She seems to have so much ninja skills in her." I thought to myself as I watched her kick their butts. They finally ran out and disappeared into their territory, not too long after, Macrafta and her friend walked out and closed the shop. After they said their goodnights, they split ways and I followed Macrafta down the street. I waited a little while before walking up to her to talk. But right as I stretched my hand out to tap her shoulder, I felt my arm get grabbed and next thing I knew, I was on the ground on my back. I opened my eyes and saw Macrafta looking down at me. She must not have been expecting it to be me because her eyes were wide with shock. "Midnight?!" "Hey..." I answered awkwardly.

My POV:
"What the heck?!" I thought to myself as I looked down at Midnight. I was just walking down the street heading back to my building with the strangest feeling that I was being followed. I finally felt an arm near me and my instincts kicked in. I grabbed the their arm and flipped them over my shoulder, slamming them to the ground. I looked down expecting it to be another thug, but it wasn't, it was Midnight. My eyes grew wide in shock, "Midnight?!" I said, "Hey..." He responded awkwardly. "What are you doing here?! And why sneak up on me?" I asked. "I came to see you. I knew I shouldn't have snuck up, but it's not like I can just walk down the street. People scream in fear when they see me." He responded as he sat up. A small frown spread across my face when I heard that, I helped him up and a thought came to me. "Well, if it makes you feel any better, you can visit me anytime and I won't scream, that is, if you give a warning first." I said to him with a warm smile. He went red in the face and I felt mine go warm when I realized what I had said. "I mean, that is, if you want to! You don't HAVE to! After all, who would want to visit a NOBODY like me?" I said quickly while chuckling awkwardly. I watched as a frown spread across his face and I knew it was time to go. "A-anyways, I gotta go!" I turned to leave, but he then did something that made my heart skip a beat, he grabbed my hand.

Midnight's POV:
I didn't know what I was doing, but I couldn't just stand there and let Macrafta say those things about her. I grabbed her hand and made her look at me. She was really pink and slightly confused when she looked at me. "Don't say that." I told her with an extreme amount of seriousness in my voice and on my face. "You are not a nobody. And, I wouldn't mind visiting you every once and a while." I told her with a warm smile. Her face went even pinker and I suddenly came to realization about what I said, and the fact that I was still holding her hand, did not help one bit. "O-oh,! Uh, s-sorry!" I quickly said as I released her hand, "I-it's ok." She responded. I knew it was time for me to leave, "Anyways, I g-gotta go! Bye!" I said quickly before bolting to the nearest alleyway. I could have sworn though, that before I reached the alleyway, I heard her softly say, "Thanks." I continued running until I reached the Foot's headquarters and locked myself into my room. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw that my entire face was red, REALLY red. "I flopped my face into my pillow and groaned, " Waaaaaay to impress her dude!" I thought to myself. "The fearless Midnight, unable to talk to a girl!" I sighed and lifted my face, "Who am I kidding?" I muttered, "She has a normal life to deal with! She probably has some human she's got a thing for! She can't possibly have feelings for a mutant like me!" I sighed and layed back down, slowly falling asleep.

My POV:
"HOLY CRAP! Did that just happen?!" I asked myself as I continued to walk down the street. "He held my hand! He said he wouldn't mind visiting me!" I thought excitedly. I was pulled back into attention when my phone dinged, I looked at it confused to see a text from Amy.

Ames: Hey sis, I have to stay for an all night shift tonight. Sorry.

You: It's ok, do you mind if I invite a friend over so I won't be lonely?

Ames: As long as you stay out of trouble, yes.

You: Yay, thanks sis! Good luck tonight!

Ames: Thanks. Love you.

You: Love you too.

Ames: 😘

You: 💖

I quickly pulled up my speed dial and put in my bestie's number. "Hello? Moon?.......... Yeah, it's me. Listen, I know this is a little bit sudden, but do you want to come over? Amy has an all night shift........ Nah, she's ok with it as long as we behave........ Really? Yay! Ok, see you soon!" I hung up and quickly made my way back to my building, to await Moon's arrival. "Maybe she'll know what to do." I thought to myself, "After all, I need to be certain. To see if I truly am in love."
