The Doctor wiped the last of the paint off effortlessly, smiling at his handy work. The tardis looked good as new. The Doctor smiled as he looked over his handy work. He stepped out of the tub, he found himself standing in a rather large puddle of water.
"Oh dear..." He muttered, rising to his toes to carefully cross the floor. "Frankie, where do you keep your towels?" He called out as he slowly made his way to the hallway.
He frowned at the lack of response, but assumed Frank just hadn't heard him. When he made it to the hall, he looked in each direction with curiosity.
"Frankie, where'd you go?" He asked, feeling himself begin to walk down the hall towards the end that opened up into a living room and kitchen, apparently.
There was no one there and nothing seemed out of place, except for a broken down frame on the kitchen counter. The Doctor walked over to it, stopping when he felt something other than carpet under his foot. He looked down to see a photo, slightly bent now that the Doctor had stepped on it.
When the time lord bent down to pick it up, he saw a small boy with dark hair grinning at the camera while sitting on the ground, holding a gray furred dog against his side. The Doctor smiled, recognizing the boy he knew as an adult now. This must of been the photo Frank had wanted... But why was it so carelessly on the ground?
"Frank?" The Doctor's head snapped up as he looked around the empty room. "Frank, where are you?"
There was still no response.
The Doctor looked down again. In the carpet he could see his own foot trail, due to the water, as well as Frank's. However, there were two more sets of footprints.
"FRANK!" The Doctor yelled, running back towards the hallway. He ran to the other end of the house, which only held a hall closet and Frank's bedroom. Unfortunately, neither one held the human the Doctor was looking for.
The Doctor ran back into the living room, looking around frantically. "Not good, definitely not good..." He sped through his words, looking at the floor. The carpet held the footprints well, which left the Doctor with a sinking feeling in his stomach. There were no footprints near the door at all. The two unknown sets of prints almost seemed to start right in the middle of the floor.
"Energy, the residual time energy." The Doctor muttered to himself while nodding, "Just need the last thing he touch-the photo. I have the photo."
The Doctor ran back to Frank's bathroom, this time not caring if he went straight through the puddles of water on the floor. He pushed the door of his ship open and nearly flew up the staircase.
Although his tardis was an older model, he always had a few companions that liked to tinker with what it had. Type 40 tardis' didn't come equipt with time trackers but, usually, they didn't have a Jack Harkness or River Song onboard. Both had added to the piece of technology that was just under the control panel to perfect it, seeing how somehow neither was on the tardis at the same time.
The Doctor's fingers fumbled as he tried to find the small button that would open the tracking compartment. He let out a loud cry of success as he finally found it. He hurriedly, but carefully, placed Frank's photo in the small compartment.
"Alright, old girl. Take me where I need to go to get him back." The Doctor said as he slid the compartment back into its place. "Please work..." He added with a soft whisper as the sound of the tardis sprang to life.

Frank was just out of the reach of consciousness when he heard the voices. He could also hear the hum of a vehicle driving along a road.
How did he get in a car? If he was home, he would of had to be out for, at the very least, ten minutes for them to even be attempting to pull out of the parking lot. The set up of his building was a nightmare.
He tried to wiggle his hands out from their positioning behind his back, but the seemed to be tied together. A soft tug from his ankles confirmed that he had been bound there as well.
"Hurry up!" A hissing voice snapped from somewhere in front of Frank, "Get him hooked in!"
Frank cried out as he felt a sharp pain to the back of his neck. He still couldn't open his eyes from the first poke to his neck.
"If we can even get part of the process started, maybe we'll be granted with upgrades for our efforts."
Frank felt himself get shoved roughly forward. He tried to force his eyes open, but he found himself met by a blindfold. What the hell was going on? Where was his Doctor?
"Why did he want this one when we have plenty around here?" An accented voice next to Frank asked before Frank was shoved away from the voice.
There was a dark laugh that filled the air. "Personal vendetta." Was the only thing said in response.
There was only one person that Frank and the Doctor kept running into for an answer like that. Frank felt his heart sink. He could be anywhere or any time if that man was behind this. How would his Doctor ever find him?
"ROAD BLOCK!" Someone yelled as the vehicle they were in screeched to a hault. Frank felt himself get thrown forward, hitting his chin against something hard.
"KILLJOYS!" The accented voice screamed as a loud commotion ensued around them, "Back up, phone back up!"
Frank heard car doors open, as well as the sounds of... Laser blasts? It was almost reminiscent of Star Wars as people cried out and the blasts continued.
Maybe this was his chance. Whoever, or whatever, these killjoys were may have provided the perfect distraction. Frank slid himself along the seat, trying to make it to the door he hadn't heard get shut. He was met by success after a moment when the seat stopped and was replaced by open air.
He laughed, triumphantly, until he found himself falling to the ground. He coughed as dry dirt was sent up from his impact and inhaled into his lungs. Where the hell was he?
"Ha, I got a prisoner! Doctor Death Defying was good on his tip, as always." A voice laughed as Frank felt himself get rolled over onto his back by a foot. An instant later his blindfold was ripped off, forcing him to adjust to the sudden brightness. "Why'd they waste their time energy on you?" The same laughing voice asked Frank, slowly coming into focus from the sudden lighting change.
It was a skinny male wearing a yellow shirt with black spots, covered by a red leather jacket. On his head, he wore a yellow biker helmet, detailed with pink, red, white, and blue with "good luck" written across the lowered visor.
"I could ask the same thing." Frank said, honestly. He wasn't even sure if this was a good guy or bad guy in front of him.
The figure above him reached up and lifted the visor on the helmet. Underneath the "good luck" was a chiseled face looking curiously back at him. He was quiet for a moment before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small knife.
"Knowing Dracs, anything." He seemed to grin behind the helmet as he bent down by Frank's feet. Frank heard the the cutting of rope before his feet could freely move apart from each other.
"Thanks..." Frank muttered as the man gestured for him to roll over a bit so he could cut his wrist bounds.
"Name's Kobra Kid." He replied as he effortlessly sliced through the rope, "and you're welcome." He stood up and extended a hand to Frank.
"Name's Frank." Frank said as he took Kobra Kid's hand to help rise to his feet.
The other man snorted slightly. "Frank? You must not be from around here, hu?"
Frank laughed with nerves on the edge of his tone. "You could say that... Not even totally sure where here is."
Kobra Kid tilted his head at Frank again. "How long you been in that car?" He asked.
Before Frank could answer, however, another voice spoke up from behind him. "Kobra! There's another fluctuation in the time energy!"
"How far out, Ghosted Disturbance?" Kobra Kid asked, looking behind Frank.
Frank turned as well, almost freezing at who he saw. It was the boy from his weird dream after hitting the rail, Josh. He looked almost exactly the same, except for his hair. It was a smokey, blue color on top of his head rather than the bubble gum pink, like in Frank's dream. His outfit was a leather jacket that matched the color of his hair with a torn, gray shirt underneath.
"Jet Star says it's within our location." Ghosted Disturbance replied with a nod.
"They might of called for reinforcement." Kobra Kid said, pulling a yellow gun from a holster on his side. Frank jumped a little at the swift motion. It was as if it was a natural flow when Kobra Kid pulled the weapon out.
The other man nodded, pulling a smokey blue gun from his own holster. "Always ready for some Drac battles, eh Kobra?" He grinned.
"Drac?" Frank questioned as Kobra gestured for him to move towards Ghosted Disturbance. He followed the strangers lead, stepping carefully over a stilled body of one of his kidnappers. "Is that what they were?"
"Yep." Kobra nodded, looking around at the desert landscape they were surrounded by. "Nasty henchmen of- what the hell?"
A familiar sound began to fill Frank's ears, making him snap around. The noise kept getting louder. Ghosted Disturbance and Kobra Kid tightened the grips on their guns.
"No! It's not those guys!" Frank exclaimed, looking around for the blue police phone box he knew was about to appear. "That's him!"
"Who's him?" Kobra demanded, turning to look at Frank while keeping his gun pointed ahead of him.
Frank just grinned as a faint silhouette began to fade into existence. "My Doctor."
"A doctor?" Ghosted Disturbance questioned before he began to see the object appearing for himself. His eyes grew wide as his gun lowered. "What kind of doctor is that?.." He whispered as the blue box became fully materialized just ahead of them all.
Kobra maintained the position of his gun, holding it pointed at the box. "What is that?" He asked.
Frank ran around him to rush over to the blue box. "Doctor!" He yelled, tugging at the door handle. He stepped back as he heard movement on the other side. The door flung open, revealing the heavily breathing time lord.
The Doctor's eyes lit up as he nearly jumped out of the tardis. "FRANKIE!" He exclaimed, grabbing hold of the human and pulling him into his arms. "Oh, it worked! Bless those two for rigging that up. How are you? Was I long?" The Doctor pulled away to look over Frank's face, "Oh, Frankie, you're bleeding." The Doctor frowned as he looked at Frank's chin.
"Hey!" Kobra hollered, causing the Doctor to turn. It was the first time he seemed to be taking in his surroundings, as well as, the man pointing a gun at him.
"Oh, hello." The Doctor waved, stepping back from Frank. "Nice to meet you, I'm the Doctor."
"Doctor what?" Kobra asked, still holding his gun up, unsure of the newcomer.
"Just Doctor, I'm afraid." The time lord shrugged.
Kobra nodded, but looked at Frank. "You know him?" Frank nodded. Kobra kept his gun up, "Can you verify he's not working for the corporation?"
"Corporation?" Frank questioned, to which Kobra lowered his gun.
"Better Living Industries." The man behind Kobra said, sliding his gun back into its holster. "The bastards that kick started dooms day."
Kobra nodded, holstering his gun as well. He was looking at the Doctor curiously as Ghosted Disturbance spoke. Before he himself spoke again, however, he reached up to pull his helmet off. He shook out his blond hair before pushing it back.
"We're some of the bastards pushing those bastards back." Kobra smirked as he stuck out his hand to the Doctor, "I'm Kobra Kid. He's Ghosted Disturbance."
The Doctor stepped forward, extending his own hand. "Those are fun names." He grinned as they shook hands.
"When you're a killjoy, you've gotta cover up your real one." Kobra replied.
"Killjoy?" The Doctor asked as Frank stepped over. He was opening his mouth to ask more, but there was a humming entering their earshot.
Kobra stiffened, looking behind the Doctor and Frank. "Disturbance, get the car started." He ordered, pointing to the car Frank had slid himself out of. The other man nodded, running to the vehicle.
"What's going on?" Frank asked, watching as Disturbance quickly climbed into the car.
"Either get in his car or get in mine." Kobra said, sternly, pulling his gun back out of its holster.
The Doctor looked puzzled. However, he couldn't speak whatever question he had in mind before Kobra Kid was tackling him to the ground yelling, "GET DOWN YOU IDIOT!"
Frank ducked as the sounds of laser blasts started up again. The door that Frank had fallen out of earlier was still open as Ghosted Disturbance attempted to start the car. Frank ducked inside, sliding himself across the seat. He scrambled around to see Kobra on top of the Doctor while shooting at the oncoming threat.
Kobra rolled off of the Doctor, popping immediately to his feet as he continued to shoot. "Get in his car!" He ordered the Doctor, who scrambled to do as he said.
Frank grabbed the Doctor's hands and helped pull him inside as Ghosted Disturbance got the vehicle started with a cry of success. He pulled the gear stick into drive and slammed his foot onto the gas.
"Hold on!" He cried out as the car roared before it began to speed forward.
Frank and the Doctor both cried out, barely managing to get the rear door to close before they were both slammed against it from Disturbance's wild turn. The both fell back to the other side as he evened out and sped forward.
"What about Kobra?" Frank asked, spinning in his seat to see the killjoy backing to his own car as two began to circle around him.
"Best Drac killer in the business." Disturbance replied, focusing on the road ahead. "I've seen him take on way worse."
"What about us?" The Doctor asked as Frank turned back around in his seat, "My ship's back there!"
"Somewhere safe." Disturbance took a sharp turn, sending the Doctor and Frank falling into the door once again. "Base camp, with the other killjoys."
"There's others?" Frank groaned as he sat himself up, rubbing his head.
Disturbance laughed, stealing a glance in the rearview mirror. "You an alien or something'? There's killjoys across the world! We're just a small handful..."
The Doctor and Frank looked at one another. The unknowing look on both of their faces didn't exactly assure each other.
"You've got a really nasty cut on your face, Frankie." The Doctor frowned, scooting close to Frank so that they were hip to hip. "What happened?"
"I was just trying to get my picture from the frame when these guys appeared in my-" Frank stopped mid-sentence, his eyes growing wide. "My picture! It's gone, isn't it? Oh god, we lost the tardis back there what if-"
"Frankie!" The Doctor exclaimed, cutting the frantic human off. He reached into his suit pocket, "We can worry about the tardis later, she's locked and knows how to throw a punch. Metaphorically, of course." The time lord grinned, "As for your photo..." He pulled the small rectangular image from his pocket, holding it out to Frank.
Frank was lost for words. The Doctor had saved the photo. The one thing he had really wanted to save from home before he was ready to go with the time lord wherever else they needed to go.
Frank wasn't even sure what happened next. All he knew was that he had somehow found it within himself to wrap his arms around the Doctor and press their lips together. Even as it was happening, Frank wasn't fully conscious of the kiss until something in his brain finally clicked.
He pulled away, retracting his arms and scooting across the seat a bit. His breathing was heavy and uneven as he looked at the shocked Doctor with wide eyes. "I-I...uh... Th-thank..." Frank gulped, unable to really form a complete through to push past his twitching lips.
"You're welcome?" The Doctor let it come out more of a question than a statement, still looking quite shocked.
Frank felt his face heat up. Why did he just do that? He knew he felt something for the time lord. Hell, the alien had given him a boner just by sliding his hands along the smooth skin of his-Frank bit the inside of his cheek to stop that thought in fear of what it may bring with it.
"We're about to pass through the barrier." Disturbance said, seemingly oblivious to the awkwardness that was radiating from the back seat.
"The what?" The Doctor asked without taking his eyes off of Frank.
"The camouflage wall that hides our set up." Disturbance grinned. He took one of his hands off the steering wheel and glanced down at his wrist for an instant. There was some kind of bulky device attached to his arm, which he stuck out his tongue to press a button on.
"Ghost? Are you close?" A horse voice asked, coming from the device on Disturbance's wrist.
His grin seemed to widen with the sound of the voice. "Roger that, Silent Strike. Lower the sheild enough for me to sneak through. I also got two noobs."
"Are they hot?"
"Strike!"
"Sorry, Ghost... Hehe... Lowering power levels now."
Disturbance pressed down on the gas, sending them speeding faster then they already were. The Doctor turned from Frank to look at Disturbance. "Aren't we going to crash?" He asked, still unsure of what had happened.
Disturbance just laughed, somehow hitting the gas harder. "Haven't yet!"
The car sped into the seemingly endless desert. It didn't seem like they were going anywhere until the air in front of them seemed to glitch.
"Nearing the gate, Ghost." The voice from Disturbance's wrist com spoke, casually, to which he nodded. "Are you even trying to speed through?"
"Oh, just you wait." Disturbance grinned as he spoke lowly, gripping the steering wheel tighter.
The scenery glitched again, as if it was some kind of programming. It took hardly any time before the area around them glitches completely, revealing something entirely new. The empty desert was replaced by makeshift buildings, tents, and some older looking well constructed buildings such as a gas station and auto garage.
"WOOOO!" Disturbance screamed out into the air as he sped down the center row of everything that had appeared. His foot had risen from the gas pedal to finally give them a slow decent. He seemed to be extremely enjoying the experience, where as Frank and the Doctor were quiet in the back seat.
Frank's mind was whirling from what he had done. No, he couldn't of done that, could he of? Why did his brain allow his body to act without a single thought?
He couldn't even look at the Doctor. He was stressing out over what he had done and if it would affect the relationship he had built with the time lord. Then again... The Doctor had been the one to kiss him first, back in Rio...
The car stopped with a sudden jerk, causing Frank and the Doctor to fall forward against the front seat. They both resteadied themselves as Ghosted Disturbance quickly opened his door and hopped out of the car, letting out a loud cry of success.
"Got a Drac car for scrap disposal!" He laughed, throwing his hands in the air. "Where's my Silent Strike?"
Frank slid over to the door on his side of the seat and pushed it open. The dust was still flying from the car's stop, but it was slowly dissipating. Frank looked around at the surrounding area.
The first thing he noticed was a boy with short, dark hair rushing over to Ghosted Disturbance. Frank's eyebrows furrowed in confusion at the familiar face. How were Tyler and Josh both here? They were only a dream!.. Weren't they?..
Ghosted Disturbance caught the dark haired boy in his arms before spinning him with laughter. He pressed a kiss to the boys cheek before setting him back down. "Fast enough for you, Silent?" Disturbance grinned.
Silent giggled with a nod. He looked over to the car that Disturbance had driven in. "One car, three passengers." He frowned, "Where's Kobra?" He turned back to the smokey blue haired man, "The hot red head kinda looks like him, but Kobra would never dress like that."
"Oi, it's fashionable." The Doctor argued, defensively, tugging at his suit jacket with a bit if a pout.
Silent just shot him a smirk. "Oh, boy, you haven't been out here long have you? You'll never last in that." He tugged at his own black, red, and white accented jacket as he spoke. "Feel like getting fitted?"
Silent Strike didn't even wait for a response before rushing around the car and standing expectantly by the Doctor. "Silent Strike, by the way." He introduced himself before turning to look at Disturbance. "Make sure to report in to Jet Star." He said before blowing him a kiss. He turned back to the Doctor with the jerk of his head. "This way, sir."
"Well, okay, hello. I'm the Doctor." The time lord spoke quickly as Silent Strike hurried off, stopping occasionally for him to catch up.
Frank found himself left with Ghosted Disturbance, who was poking at his wrist com. He looked up at Frank, after a moment, with curiosity.
"So... Hi." He smiled, "Didn't properly met back there."
"No kiddin'." Frank chuckled, "Frank."
"Ghosted Disturbance." The other introduced himself, "Or whichever you'd prefer. Titles usually get shortened around here." He looked at the car, then back to Frank. "That Doctor guy was right, you've got a bit of a gash on your cheekbone." He said, pointing to his own face for reference.
Frank reached up, feeling the line of dried blood everyone kept pointing out. "Well, that's fun..."
"We have medic over at the garage." Disturbance offered, pointing across the way. "If you could help me push the car over we could fix you up."
Frank looked back towards where the Doctor and Silent Strike had disappeared. They were both gone now, either in one of the stable or more fabric buildings nearby. There was just a slight relief of not having to face his earlier action immediately. He could come up with a reason to explain himself better this way... If he could...
"Sounds good." He nodded, turning back to Disturbance. "You steer, I'll push."
Disturbance grinned at Frank. "Deal, man."
