Arjun's POV

I grab my shirt lying on the bed and wear it. Just when I was buttoning it, someone banged on the door. As I went closer to the door, banging turned to pounding and my hand moved to my gun in my pocket. I always keep one here for safety.

I opened the door only to find Mark with a white face! He looked petrified.

"Arjun, you need to leave this house now. We are attacked."

I raked my hand in my hair and tugged harshly," We could fight, Mark. I am not a coward to run away."

"No it's too late. Just leave right now. They have already disabled the electric laser shield and all the security alarms which is why we were not alerted about this."

"How the fuck is this even possible?! The electric laser shield could be disabled only from the study and only I and you knew that the switch is there. We never told anyone then how..." I say in a exasperated tone.

"This is not the time, Arjun. We have a traitor amongst us but right now we have to rush to safety."

Traitor! Who the fuck could it be?!

God! This can be dealed with later once I have ensured that my family is safe and sound.

I looked at him anxiously,"Sam and Mariam..."

"I have already send them on their way. Now you must leave too. I waited for you."

"Wait let me get Radhika." I start to move towards the washroom but he pulls me back.

"Arjun, let's leave right now let her...."

I glare at him fiercely,"Don't you fucking complete that. I am responsible for her safety more than I am for my own life. Open the door to secret passage on the third floor and get Lily too. We can't leave her alone."

He nodded and next minute looked in my eyes," I won't let anything happen to you Son ever." Saying so, he stormed off.

"Radhika, open the door." I said as I stood outside the door of the washroom waiting for her to open it.

I feel my blood boil in rage when she ignores me.

"Radhika open the fucking door! We have a serious situation here. We need to leave the house right now." I try to stay as calm as I can.

What if we fail to escape on the right time?! My heartbeat races even with such a horrendous thought. I will send Radhika and Lily first then I will go. Yeah I have to save my Radhika and my baby.

"OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!" I screech in fit of fury.

She finally comes out dressed and I pulled her to my chest as I held her tight to myself. God! Please don't let anything happen to her. I pull back when I realise we don't have much time and we have to get to the dungeon soon as it's the only way out of this danger now.

" I am so sorry baby. I should not have hurt you but this is not the best time for this. We need to leave the mansion right now. Sam and Mariam have already left and now we need to leave too." I explain her.

As the words drop out of my mouth, I feel her shivering so I hold her again to give her the warmth she needs right now.

"But why?! What happened?!" She asked me in a trembling tone.

"We are going to be attacked soon. Your fucking brother has thought it is the best time to destroy me. He is not alone otherwise he would have never had the courage to do this. Someone is supporting him."

Rahil is a pussy. He will never attack on his own and I know that otherwise he would have done it long back. What kind of son sits idle doing nothing when his father is held captive?! What kind of brother does nothing about it when his sister is kidnapped?! I know his kind very well. I have a gut feeling that someone is backing him. I know I have made a lot of enemies with my brutal ways of dealing with people. All I have to do is get out of this house and once I am out, I will make sure Rahil dies a slow painful death. I need to get to my men posted elsewhere and then we can have the much needed war that this stupid motherfuckers triggered.

"Can't we revert back?!" She asked me in a hopeful tone.

Well we can but we don't have man power and who will keep you safe if I will be out fighting with them. My first priority is to protect Radhika rest we can deal with later.

"They have cut down our lines of communication. We are too unprepared. They have disabled our electric laser shield surrounding the mansion. They have killed almost all our men only a few are left inside the house. I need time to arrange an army and I need to contact my other people posted elsewhere. We need to leave baby and now!" I spoke more harshly than I intended. Keep calm, Arjun. It's not her fault, is it?! Fuck! I hate that she is Rahil's sister.

She stares at me with hurt in her eyes,"But he is my brother. He won't hurt me...."

Hurt?! He will kill you once he sees you are with my baby. In our world we crush the rebellion in its initial stage. He will wipe the trace of my flesh and blood if he gets his hands on it. Over my dead body he will do that.

"The fuck he will! He is set out for revenge not to rescue you! Do you want to get yourself killed?!" I asked her in a fuming tone.

"ARjun, they have made it to the main door." Mark stumped inside as he spoke breathlessly.

"Oh God! Are we all going to die?!" Radhika asked me in a fearful tone. Fuck! Shame on me and my manhood if my own wife is scared of another man even in my presence. This wasn't supposed to happen. She shouldn't be scared like this. I won't let anything happen to her ever.

I hugged her to my chest," No one is going to die." I lifted her chin up," You hear me?! I won't let anything happen to you."

"I am scared, Arjun." Tears welled in her eyes.

"Don't be. Nothing will happen." I say as I kiss her forehead.

I went down on my knee and kissed her baby bump," Hi, baby it's me your daddy. You don't have to be scared because you are my son." I paused to look at Radhika and continued," or daughter. Nothing is ever going to happen to you on my watch. You'll always be safe, loved and cared for because you are mine, all mine. I love your mother and you more than I can ever say." With that, I stood on my feet as I towered over Radhika. I cupped her face," You heard me, nothing is ever going to happen to both of you."

She nodded her head up and down and a slow smile broke on her face even though she was crying.

I drag her with me as Mark follows us. Lily also joins us after some time as I instructed Mark to get her. We reached the third floor and I shove my hand in my pocket to get the key to this door. This was my father's idea to have a secret passage in the house that leads you out of the house. We all walked together until we heard gunshots and I stood in front of Radhika to cover her. Fuck! No one knew about this. How the fuck did they reach here?!

"Hey elder brother."

We heard a voice that came from darkness and a shadow of a man got larger as he stepped in the little light that was there.

Elder brother?! I don't have any siblings. I am the only child.

As the face of that man came to light, my eyes widened in shock as I got the biggest shock of my life. I felt as if I was looking at my mirror image. He looked just like me. Did I have a doppelganger I don't know about?! I look like him. Fuck! Scratch that! He looks like me. I don't fucking like this at all.

Radhika gasped in shock and surprise as well. I try to spot any difference between us but other than the fact that he had amber coloured eyes and mine were of dark black shade, there wasn't any difference.

"Shocked?! Surprised?! Or pained?! Well I did give you the biggest shock ever." He laughed darkly.

I felt Radhika's grip on my hand getting stronger and I realised she was getting very nervous so I wrapped my hand around her.

"Who the fuck are you?!" I asked him in a berated tone.

"That is no way to talk to your brother who you just met still I will let this go." He smirked.

Brother?! My ass! I have no brother!

"Who are you?!" I asked gritting my teeth.

"Sofia Arnav Mehra. Does that ring a bell in your head, brother?!" He asked me in a smug tone.

Sofia! That whore! My dad's so called mistress and later second wife. She mysteriously disappeared one day and I didn't bother to find her because I didn't miss her, did I?!

He stood right in front of me eyeing me with sheer hatred,"You are the only reason because of which every thing which should have been mine is not mine! Mom was pregnant with me and she suggested to make her son the heir of the empire but good old dad made it clear to her that you are the only heir despite the fact that you despised him. You hated him dear brother but still he wouldn't make me his heir. Mom could not take it anymore so she left him and raised me away from you all until one day she told me who I am. I was filled with so much rage so I came back here. I found out that you were crowned as the king and nothing could hurt me more than that. I was denied all the rights as a son when I deserved it as his son. He fucking chose you over me! He loved you more in his own sick way so I killed him. You thought that Rehan did it but it was me who hired a sharpshooter to kill that fucking bastard. He was no good so he had to go. All this year's I was just waiting for the right time to strike and you made things easy for me when you made enemies out of so many people at a time."

What the fuck?! He killed father! I hated my father but I would have never been the one to pull the trigger at him. My face grew white with rage. He fucking killed father. He will know soon what happens with people who fuck with me.

He turned to Lily,"Hi Lily. Thanks for the help by the way. Had you not disabled the electric laser shield, we would have never been able to enter." He said and planted a kiss on her lips.

With that, he dropped another bomb on me. Lily! What she had to do with this?! I thought she was my friend. That fucking slut, I will wring her neck! Then it dawned on me that Lily was the one who disabled the electric laser shield from the study. That fucking cunt was scheming against me with this bastard. Yes he is a fucking bastard because my weak excuse of father never divorced my mother and he married that bitch Sofia. I am the legimate child and also the rightful heir. He is fucking with himself if he thinks he had any right over any of the assets of Mehras. It's all mine and it will be a cold fucking day in hell if I let him take over even an inch of anything. After me it will all go to my son and my future children. He will always be a fucking outsider just like his slutty mother who sunked her claws in my fucking father. This was justice well served. She and her spawn got what they deserved for breaking my family, for hurting my mom and taking away my childhood.

I stared at Lily with disgust," You are one of a kind of a desperate slut. Fucking two different men who had the same face and you asked me why her and not you?!" I pointed at Radhika to make my point clear.

Her face fell hearing my words which must have pierced her heart.

"Finally you got your answer that why I chose her over you because she is not a whore like you who would spread her legs for any fucking man." I said in a tone filled with anger, disgust and hurt.

What hurt me was Lily's betrayal. How could she do that to me?!

"Lily, you..."

Before I could accuse her, she broke in on me," Yes, me! Lily, the biggest loser! What you thought Arjun that I will let you live happily after you killed my dreams?! I loved you, Arjun loved you to the point where I was going to take my own life and that is when Veer saved me. He told me that I could punish you for what you did to me. I was smiling upfront but only I knew how I was burning in rage when I use to see you with this little whore." She pointed towards Radhika.

She called my baby a whore?! I will fucking kill her! It is more than clear who is the whore here. She fucking got fucked by him just because he looks like me. What could you expect from a tramp like her?! Now I was more than proud of my choice as I steal a glance at Radhika. For this girl, her self respect and dignity is above everything else. She would die but not compromise.

She gave me a questioning stare as to know why I was looking at her admist this danger looming over us. I tore my gaze from her and instance my eyes turned cold and stormy as I looked at Veer with nothing but loathing rage.

"You are the whore here, Lily. Didn't take you long to move from one man to another?! I never knew you loved only my face that you switched sides since you couldn't get me." I say feeling nothing but disgust for her.

Veer may have my face because of the same genes but he is nothing like me. I never stab in the back if at all I will attack from front not like a fucking rat who weaves his way inside in a sneaky way. I am not like that.

"Arjun, I am scared." Radhika looked at me with watery eyes.

"It's okay. I am there with you." I try to get her to calm down.

I have to do something as soon as possible so I take out my gun and point it towards Veer. I fire the bullet but next minute Lily falls down on the ground. That fucker pulled her in front and used her to save himself. Radhika took a couple of steps behind as a scream escaped from her mouth. She looked at me with sadness.

"Some people are of great use when they are alive and some people are of use when they are dead but Lily, my dear you were of great use to me both when alive and now when dead." He said in his sinister tone as he looked down at her.

I don't actually feel any remorse for accidentally killing Lily because she deserved it for betraying me. I lift up my gun to fire at him again but Radhika's shrill cry froze me! I turned back and I was in shell shocked to find Radhika cornered by her own brother on gun point.

How could he hold her at gun point?! He is her own fucking brother!

I stared at him with flaming eyes," let her go you bastard!" I said in a threatening tone.

"Not so soon, Arjun." Rahil laughed darkly.

"Rahil, I am your sister. How could you do this to me?!" I heard Radhika plead with him.

"No you are a slut who had spread her legs for the man who made your father's life a living hell and got pregnant with his baby. You are not my sister." I heard him rebuke her.

Tears tingled in her eyes as she heard his heartbreaking words. Once I get my hands on him, I will make him shed blood tears for making her cry.

"Don't you dare hurt her, Rahil." I clench the words through my teeth.

"Lower your gun and hands up otherwise it won't take me a second to blow up her head." He is fucking blackmailing me.

"NO! Don't hurt her let her go. She is pregnant you fucking lunatic! You are scaring her." I stared at him murderously.

"I don't think so you are in a position to usher commands, Arjun." Veer gave me a evil smile.

"Fine! I will keep my gun down but you let her go." I said as I placed my gun down and raised my hands above my head.

"No! Don't do this Arjun." I looked at Radhika tearfully as she screamed at me.

My eyes turned to slits when I saw Veer moving closer to Radhika and my nerves were set on fire when he touched her face with his filthy hands.

"Don't touch her you motherfucker!" I warned him.

"What a pretty little thing you are Radhika. No wonder he loves you. I would too, my dear if you were mine. Even with a baby you are breathtaking." He said as he breathed too close to her with his face an inch away from her ear.

I saw her flinch from his touch as she tried to get away from him.

"You get the fuck away from her!" I bellowed to him.

"You know what Arjun I will take care of everything after your are dead. I promise you brother. I will take care of your wife, baby and also the empire that you created."

I know he is fucking with my head to get a rise out of me. It hurts to even hear him say that he will take care of all my possessions. My Radhika, my baby and my empire that I worked so hard for. He is such a coward to use a woman for a bait.

"You think you won it?! You are a fucking coward to use her as a bait because you know I can still smash your face if not for her." With my eyes flared in rage and tone filled with vehemence, I gave him a reality check.

"Coward?! Fine, so be it. I don't want to try bravery if the victory is mine."

"Let him go please." I saw Radhika begging him.

"Don't fucking beg him, Radhika!" I raised my voice at her because I don't fucking like her begging before anyone other than me.

"Is this how he treats you Radhika?! Oh baby, you deserve so much better. I couldn't sleep at night when I saw your picture which Lily gave me. You are so gorgeous dear. Don't worry I will take care of you." He cooed at her.

"You get the fuck away from my wife."

"Your wife?! Is it?! She will be mine soon once you die." He laughed sickly.

I looked at Radhika helplessly and my gaze travelled down to her small baby bump. God! I felt as if I am put in a cage and the key is right in front but I cannot reach it. What would happen to her and my unborn child?! It's all my fault that I became so preoccupied with my personal life that it took my attention away from who I was and what I use to do. God! Please don't let anything happen to her. It's my fault that I trusted Lily. Had I been more wiser then we could have avoided this. My blood boiled in rage when Radhika tried to yank from Veer's hold and he held her hand tightly.

"Oh baby such a fiesty cat you are. Can't wait to have you as mine." He said with his tone full of lust.

I will fucking stab him to death.

"I am not yours and never will be!" I heard her spat at his face.

He gave her a snickering smile and turned to me," Arjun, it didn't take me long to get Lily under me. I agree your wife is a little hard work but then she is worth it. Such a beautiful creature."

Oh God! Fear coursed through my whole body because I was at the gunpoint and no one was there to protect my wife. My eyes searched for Mark but I could not find him. Where the fuck is he when I need him the most?!

With all this thoughts playing in my head, my eyes bulged out as I realised I was shoot not from front but from back. Veer's gun was in his hand and Rahil's gun was pressed against Radhika's temple then who could it be?!

"Arjunnnnnnnnnnnnnn......"

Radhika's heartbreaking scream tore me apart!

My watery eyes took in Radhika's clear image that started turning blur as I closed my eyes. I don't know what is in store for us but I could do nothing except for praying for her as nothing was in my power. The last thing I felt was being dragged somewhere by someone before I fell into a deep, deep sleep which I didn't know if I will ever wake up from.
