26. After the Contract Ended
A soft moan leave leaves Paisley's body as my lips move up and down her neck
"Do I smell coffee?" She smiles, her eyes still closed.
I move so my body hovers over hers.
"Mhm," I place a quick kiss on her nose. "I'll give you your cup for a kiss."
Keeping her eyes closed, she puckers her lips.
"Good Morning." I whisper, covering her mouth with mine.
I try to deepen it but she shakes her head, muttering. "Coffee."
Sighing, I pull away and reach for the mug on the nightstand next to our bed.
"Here." I grumble, handing her a mug.
"Thank you." She sits up, grabbing the mug. The sheet that was coving her falls down and my jaw follows.
"Fuck, Paisley!"
"What?" Her innocence is gonna kill me. When eyes notice where mine have travels she flushed. "You don't have to stare." She tries to hide her smile, bringing the mug to her lips.
"You're not gonna cover up?" My tone comes out huskier than I mean it to. We don't have time to start something right now.
Wide eyed she quirks a brow. "Should I?"
"Yes," I groan, "My family will be here in a few hours and if we start something we don't have enough time to finish."
"They're not coming till two." She juts our her bottom lip and I take a second to tug it between mine.
"It's noon." I say, laughing at the horrified look that crosses her face.
"Sebastian!" She shrieks, jumping from the bed. "You were supposed to wake me up at nine!"
"But looked so comfortable I couldn't do it." I say, following her bare ass to the closet. I look her up and down, my body instantly reacting. "I like this view."
"Nuh-uh." She shakes her head at me bringing my attention to her eyes. "We don't have time now."
"I think we could make time." I smirk when she swallows.
"I need a shower." She whispers, as I wrap my arms around her.
"What a coincidence," I pick her up, loving the way her legs automatically wrap around my boxer clad waist. "I do too. We can save water."
_____
"This is why I wanted to go on a real honeymoon." I grumble, finally being close to Paisley for the first time in hours. "Somewhere they can't find us."
The backyard is full of our family, celebrating our marriage since we decided not to have a reception last week.
"You ready?" Harry claps my back and I'm hit with an odd sense of déjà vu.
"Yes." I answer, straightening my tie. "I've been ready for awhile."
"I know you have." My older brother smiles next to me. "I know I don't have to tell you, but I'm going to anyways, it's worth the wait." He gives my back one more small pat just as the small orchestra starts to the song Paisley and I chose as our song.
Hailey, again our flower girl, wears a large grin as she helps Charlotte throw petals on the driveway.
Jackson is still unimpressed with the suit he has to wear but at least this time he's smiling.
Brielle, Paisley's friend from work and my new personal assistant walks down the driveway next, winking at me as she passes.
My hands that I didn't realize were nervously twitching freeze.
Paisley looks like an angel, walking toward me in a white.
She said she wanted a simple dress for our wedding at home but this was not what I was expecting.
Sage escorts my bride down the aisle, smiling at her adoptive parents, LeeAnn and Darian Wik, who have taken Paisley in as well.
Apparently, the Wiks didn't know my financial status and when I met them yesterday Darian tried to give me what he and his wife had slowly set aside over the years to hire a private investigator to find Paisley.
They were shocked, to say the least, when they were made aware of my finances.
Sage let's go of Paisley, allowing me to step forward.
"Hi." She grins at me, biting her lip.
"Hey," I'm almost breathless at the sight of her.
This time, instead of zoning out during the ceremony. I take in every word being said. Hearing our officiant say forever no lover feel like a weight around my neck. But instead like I'm seeing the light for the first time.
And when I kiss Paisley, I kiss her with everything I am.
_____
Paisley grins, leaning into my chest as my arm comes around her.
"We can go next week." She says softly. "For as long as you want, I just wanted our first few days to be in our home." She stares at the house in front of us. "The first time I came here all I wanted to do was cry, it was the perfect house, everything I ever wanted and you were on the porch. It was like a dream. The thought of another woman getting everything I want was crushing."
"You're the only one." I nuzzle my nose into her neck.
"I fucked up." Mark invades our little bubble. "Like seriously fucked up."
"Are you okay?" Paisley asks, the both of us frowning at his tone.
"I said some things to Emily that I didn't mean and now she hasn't talked to me since the wedding." He drags his hands down his face, a sign he's truly distressed. "I've texted her and called, and I even went to her apartment and she's not there."
"What did you do?" I ask, they've been getting along great, Mark's been in love for months.
"I accidentally proposed." He groans, and my chuckle dies in my throat when I see how torn up he looks.
"And?"
"She looked at me like I had grown another head. Fun." He states. "We agreed we were just having fun."
"Mark, what happened next?" Paisley asks softly, pulling away from me and my hands itch to pull her back.
"I told her that I was kidding and brought up that's it just fun and she just left."
Paisley and I glance at each other, both knowing where he went wrong.
"You know Sebastian asked me to stay with him before I went to Australia." Paisley holds my hand.
"Yeah, and you said no." Mark mutters and I notice how tired he looks. He looks like me a little over a week ago.
"She said no because I freaked out and said I only wanted her as an assistant."
"So she wanted me to propose?" My poor friend looks confused.
"We're not saying that." Paisley winces. "But I don't think pretending that she's just a fling is a good idea. She's been around for a lot, she obviously care about you."
"So I most likely hurt her while trying not to freak her out?" He asks and Paisley smiles sadly.
"I think so."
"Aw, fuck." Mark groans, tugging at his hair. "I need to find her."
"Go!" My wife tells him and he salutes us before running.
"That was nice of you." I grin and my smiling wife.
"Well you got your happily ever after, Mark should get his."
"I agree." I lean in for a kiss but someone slaps my back before I can.
"Sebastian," My Grandfather smiles. "Paisley."
"Hi Grandfather." Paisley nervously tucks her hair behind her ear.
"You know I never mentioned children last year because I knew it was fake, but this time..." He doesn't finishing talking, simply giving Paisley and I a sharp look.
"Oh my gosh." Paisley mumbles, grabbing my suit jacket and hiding her face.
"We're working on it Grandfather." I smirk at the choked noise that comes from my wife. "We would be working on it right now but you're here. Ouch!" I shout rubbing my side where an almost purple Paisley just pinched.
"Well then I'll be leaving." Grandfather hides his laugh, looking at Paisley. "There's a gift for the two of you on your dining table."
Two hours later we're left alone again.
"Oh." Paisley points at the picture frame on the dining table. "Oh my." She mutters, her eyes filling with tears.
"Hey, what?"
Inside the frame is a paper, similar to a wedding certificate. Looking closer at it I realize it's a contract.
Written on it are promises I plan to keep, they're similar to our vows. Promises to love and cherish each other until the end of time.
There's two blank line at the bottom waiting to be signed.
I watch as Paisley grabs a pen from the counter and carefully pulls the paper from the frame.
"So you're gonna love me forever?"
"I said so in my vows right?"
"Yeah, just this is a legal contract, no getting out of it."
"Good." She mumbles handing me the pen.
She watches as I sign my name. "So you're never gonna stop loving me?" I ask, knowing the answer.
"Maybe I will." She shrugs before she wraps her arms around me and I frown at her smile. "But only when the contract ends."

The End.
I'm marking this as completed but there should be an epilogue this weekend.
