I can hear
The music in my ears
And I feel safe
Outside of fear

But the thoughts creep
They slowly seep
Through my barrier of music
Ones I don't want to keep

Yet they aren't so bad
When I look to what others had
So I try and shake them off
Shoot that which makes me sad

The others that gave
Me a reason to live
