I met a cat
Who told me that
Being kind
Will help my mind
And save me from the darkness

I met a dog, Pal
He told me how
To be calm and rested
So that I won't be bested
By the heaviness in my bones

I met an old friend
Who'll stick with me to the end
And they taught me how
I should live in the now
Ignoring those nagging voices

Now out into the world I go
Taking what I now know
I'm still stuck in that way
But with a brighter look today
Than the one I had yesterday
