•Rogue Attacks and Commitments•
Weeks had come and gone, and I had steadily fallen into a routine.
Lucas and Xian had been able to co-exist without even a single argument ever since the day we sat at Lucas' table, and peace was finally reigning.
We give glory.
Xian and I were getting to know each other better and I can comfortably say, I'm liking him the more we talk. I found out things about him that I would've never guessed just by looking at him.
For one he's into Kpop as well, and I'm probably sure he likes Bangchan even more than he likes me, and I don't mean to sound big-headed, but that's saying something.
But I think the biggest surprise was his love for musical theatre, You wouldn't see Xian and think, "Yeah token theatre kid."
And back in Nigeria, nearly no one shared my passion for theatre, so it was refreshing finding someone who finally did.
He seemed reserved. In fact, almost shy about the topic, but he eventually started to open up, and we both idolize Lin-Manuel Miranda, so that's a bonus.
Xian had called an emergency meeting between the two packs, already getting ready to take up his position as Alpha.
I originally had no intention on attending, since well, I'm not part of the pack, but it seemed like Xian had other plans for me.
Saying something about moral support, he egged me to attend, and the boy had gotten really good at doing puppy dog eyes, so who was I to refuse?
My parents had also surprisingly gotten really comfortable around my friends of recent, and they even let me have a sleepover with the girls from both packs and it surprisingly didn't end in bloodshed.

"TATAKE!"
I saw Quinn practically flying in the air before she descended on me with a pink pillow.
Where are my so-called teammates?
Ella had had the spontaneous idea to have a pillow fight, and we were all down for it. Little did I know that my defeat was near.
We broke into two groups; Team Hogwarts, which had: Ella, Lauren, and Britney, and my team; Team Half-blood, made up of: Brooke, Quinn and well, me.
We were basically supposed to hide and ambush each other. Y'know, the usual.
Your teammates are meant to look out for you, but as you could probably tell from my current situation, that was not the case.
Quinn landed on me with the pillow high above her head.
Now that I think about it, the odds are pretty unfair. She's practically a wolf, she probably does this stuff for a living or something. I'm just some "supposed" wannabe goddess with powers that only show up when they feel like. Which happened to be a total of once.
I was being suffocated by the pillow when I noticed my teammates running towards me.
Talk about poor timing.
They jumped on top of us, and it finally clicked.
Those backstabbers used me as bait!
Before long, all six of us lay in a sweaty panting mess on the floor, unwilling to move.
Good times.

I had finally convinced my father that I wouldn't crash one of his oh-so-precious cars, and/or get kidnapped, so he finally let me drive out the house on my own.
Xian had told me it was nothing serious, and that everyone would be dressed casually so I decided on a pair of denim shorts, a normal black body con top, my favorite pair of doc martens, a long dark green military jacket and some basic jewelry.
(AN:because visuals always work best)

I set off, and before I knew it I had arrived at Xian's pack house.
I couldn't lie, I was feeling nervous as hell.
What if they didn't like me?
What if they think I'm not good enough for Xian?
I still didn't know what to think about the whole mate-alpha-luna thing. I was getting to know Xian much better, and I would even consider a relationship, but that kind of commitment?
I'm only 17 for Christ's sake!
I'm supposed to be worrying about what University to go to, not how to properly take care of a pack.
I took a deep breath to calm myself down. I'd cross those bridges when I got to them. Right now I needed to worry about not making a fool of myself in front of Xian and Lucas' packs.
I walked towards the pack house when I noticed two people giggling outside.
It was Lauren and Britney. I smiled to myself, loving how the two packs were getting along. They seemed to notice me too, because they both simultaneously turned and started running towards me.
"Abby!" They both screamed.
"We missed you." They fake-sobbed.
Chile, they literally saw me yesterday.
"Where's everyone else?" I asked, trying to avoid the tragedy of having 'death by hugs' written on my tombstone.
"Oh, they're all in the pack room. They were getting all boring and serious, so we decided to entertain ourselves." Britney said with a titan sized smile.
Tell me why I just noticed the shovel in Lauren's hand and the odd patches of dirt on both of their clothes.
Oh God, what are these two up to?
In the short time I've known both of them, I'd noticed they had... how do I put this... Trouble making tendencies, and now that they're together...
Shit's definitely about to go down, but this place could use a little bit of fun anyways... And who was I to ever stop fun?
I left Lauren and Britney to their own devices, and walked into the pack house, straight to the living room, or as they call it, "The Pack Room." Immediately I got there, curious faces turned towards me. Both ones I recognized and ones I didn't. There were about 15 people in the room, everyone had serious faces on, and goddammit the tension in the air was hot.
Before anything could register in my brain, Xian walked up to me, held my hand and gave me one of those irresistible forehead kisses before he turned towards the crowd and announced: "I would like to formally introduce my mate, and perhaps one day your future Luna, Abiola Akinyemi." People I didn't recognize, as well as some of my friends from school gave a short bow, and Lord did I want the earth to open and swallow me.
Small girl like me?
People who looked like they could give birth to times two of me were bowing to me.
I think the panic was clear on my face because, in no time Xian's dad did that little throat clearing thing that people do for attention, and as was expected, all the attention immediately returned to him.
"Now that we're through with all the introductions, it's time we discussed the matter at hand. The Recent Rogue Attacks."

What's up guys? How's life?
I hope y'all enjoyed this chapter!
What do you think about Xian's announcement? Do you think it was right of him to make it so soon? And if you've been paying attention, you'd remember Lucas mentioned something about a rogue attack in earlier chapters, do you think it's the same pack of rogues?
I want to hear your theories!
I was thinking that the next chapter could be a Q&A to pass up time until the next chapter is ready, so here's how it's going to be; y'all can address questions to the Characters themselves, and to me, the author! (e.g: Hey Abiola, what's your biggest pet peeve? Or hey Pringle, why did you write WPC?)
And before I forget, thank you guys so much for 3k! WPC has come such a long way, and it's all thanks to you, my beautiful readers! I've been so excited! I love you guys too much abeg! See you guys later!
~A very sick author 😷 💜
