Chapter 9: Ginny's POV

Hey guys!! I can't believe it's been a week since I've updated. This might be the last update before Christmas. (depends on if I have time) So if I don't update again, to all that celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas!!! Anyone who celebrates Hanukkah, Happy Belated Hanukkah!!! And Happy Holidays to everyone else!!

On our second day in New York City, Mum and Dad decided that we would "explore." And by that, I mean everybody going to the same places all the time. No adventures alone in the city. No adventures even in groups. I mean, come on! I'm the youngest and I'm almost 18. I am plenty old enough to go out alone. And in London, I do. But because it is America, I'm "not old enough." That is so stupid. But, whatever.

Our first stop is Central Park. It is huge and has many different things in it. We spend an hour or so in it, going to the petting zoo, looking at the plants and things, and exploring. After the Park, we go to Columbus Circle, and walk to Rockefeller Center. We explore and we even see where they film the Today show!! Then, we go get lunch. We have pizza at a small "hole in the wall" and it is actually pretty good.

We then get in cabs to go down to Long Island Sound. We got word from a nice man only a few years older than me that there is a great spot on the Sound to see the afternoon water show. Once we hail the cabs, we realize that all of us can go except 2. Mum and Dad say that they will not go. They will wait for us at the hotel, and when we are done, we are to come back.

We all cram into 2 taxi cabs, and spend the 30miute drive down playing on our mobiles. For my graduation ceremony, Mum and Dad got me a mobile, and everyone else got one as well. I play a game called Subway Surfers, and it reminds me of the London Tube. We finally get to the spot, and I see something on the horizon. It appears to be a cluster of wooden buildings. I ask the cabbie what it is.

"What are you talking about? There is nothing there."

"Umm, yes there is. How can you not see that?" I ask.

"Ginny, just get out of the cab" Harry says.

I do and I begin to walk over to the crest of the hill. I wait for the rest in my car, which was Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Once the other car, containing Bill, Fleur, Percy, and George. We all walk over together, and then we all begin to walk down.

We see lots of kids, it seems, in orange shirts, doing different things. We see a girl with blonde hair and grey eyes, and a boy at her side with black hair and sea-green eyes. We reach the bottom of the hill, and stand in a group.

When the girl and the boy get over to us, we see a bunch of other people following cosely behind us. A girl with bushy brown hair in a purple shirt (I thought their color was orange??), an Asian boy with lots of medals (was he in the military), a girl with a purple cape on (was it dress-up day?), an emo boy in black everything, and a guy with blonde hair holding his hand in the orange shirt. I can now read what is on their orange shirts.

"Camp Half-Blood" I say, in a loud whisper.

"Yes." The girl with the blonde hair says, with a fierce tone of voice. "That's where we are. But the question is, why are you here? And when can you leave?"

"Annabeth, calm down." The guy with the jet-black hair says. "They are here for a reason. I invited them. But first, a formal introduction. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood."
