Ch - 83

"Where were you I was trying your call since five minutes?" Naaz yelled on the phone by wiping the sweat drops forming on her face. Her heart is already beating to the last phase before blasting, why always this type of situations come on her way.

"Wait, what happened?" Sidhant asked with a complete confused voice. Naaz look around the hospital and answers, "Why are you not here yet, keyaan said he called on orchids? There's an emergency sidhant, and no doctor is available." Her voice shows panicking.

Sidhant's voice still holds the confusion, "No one informs me about that, wait a second." He put her on-call kartik, he also mentioned about not being informed. "Naaz, send the address we are on way, you check the condition and brief me a little.".

Naaz nodded with narrowed brows and send him the address, doesn't understand why keyaan lied about the call? It's a matter of death and life, the condition of the patient is getting worse with each seconds. And why there are no surgeons in the hospital?

"Naaz you are way more far, and the way you are saying.. The surgery can't wait." Sidhant said from the other side making her completely freaked out and snaps, "What do you mean by that?" Her hands start trembling in fear suddenly, she is in an emergency situation without him for the first time.

After a while he sighs, "You have to operate naaz, leads the surgery." Her eyes widened body stiffed for few seconds, didn't even realise the call already cuts and he is doing a video call. Forget fingers, her whole body is shivering now.. Picking the call she saw sidhant and others sitting inside the ambulance.

"I.. I can't..do it..I never." She trembled. He gestures her from hand to calm down and says, "Relax baby, this is the first step of operating a surgery you have to be relax. Five times, breathe in breathe out."

Nodded she does the same and points the phone towards the patient, "Naaz, listen to me. This is why you want to be a doctor right, to help others, save lives. This is the time sweetheart, your first surgery." He said once she turns the camera.

Naaz look at the patient then him, "But I don't know, I never attend a surgery without you that only for just helping." He runs fingers on her hair. Hummed he says, "I know, but always the best and capable of doing this surgery. I know, I believe you, we all do..

And I am here on the phone, all the time. Ohk see, your angel is telling you that you can do it. Take a breath, put the phone on a stand and start the surgery we are running out of time." Looking all around she nodded and do the same.

It's hard to perform your first surgery, alone with an intern but no she is not alone. Getting ready and preparing all, she looks at sidhant and takes out his bracelet. He is here with her, assuring her..she have to do this.. And this time not for her love, to prove him the best mentor ever.., for his belief.

Kissing the bracelet she wears her mask and starts operating the surgery.
Sidhant watches her by placing the hand under his chin, he knows this is tough for her but also knows that she has the capability. Not just because he loves her, he knows this from the day she join.

Something she shows by her work, and everyone has the first surgery. For her case, it is a little earlier but she learns a lot during the period of working in orchids. One thing he is not getting why that keyaan lied about the call? This fact is a little confusing, he knows this act of his can harm the patient. Then why?

Naaz moves a step back with an amused expression on her face, she did it. The surgery is successful without any complications. With shocking eyes she lifts her head towards the phone but it's off, she is going to freak out just then the door open and sidhant enter with others.

Without thinking any she jumps over him by crossing her both legs around causing him to startle, he tried to manage but eventually fall on the floor with her in front of everyone. "I did it, I did it, my first surgery. Yeyyyy.. I love you."

He didn't understand should laugh or kiss her hard, right now he is sitting on the floor having her over him like a baby in front of almost ten people around. Chuckling he wrapped his arms, this type of act can only be done by her. She maintains the level of maturity as well as her childishness.

"Ya I told, you are the best intern I ever had." He said by placing a kiss on the side of her head. She hugged him more tightly without caring about the surrounding, her uneven beats finally calm a little down. His presence is the most important thing she needs at this moment, or can say every time.

She has never been able to perform successfully or not even in this profession if he wouldn't be here. She doesn't care what people might be thinking right now, she is hell exhausted by all the drama been through today and now just need his embrace.

"Baby, I love to be like this but. I think should the patient first." He said. Nodded she pulled back with a flushed face, "Sorry." Smiling he shook his head by setting her hair and pressed a kiss on her forehead before getting up.

Naaz look at keyaan with the corner of her eyes talking to someone in the call, seems busy in a serious conversation. She forgets him to ask about the lie, with a frowned face she decides to talk to him when sidhant hold her hand, "I should talk to him he owes us an explanation for whatever he did."

She agreed simply and let him go, on the call and now she saw the glimpse of the real sidhant again. Kushal is right, big things take out his reactions without letting him much thinking. She goes behind him just to listen to the talks out of curiosity.

"Do you know what could happen today?" Sidhant asked keyaan with a stern face. He gulps his saliva by looking at naaz and utters, "I am an intern, I freaked out alone. Dr. Naaz also not here with me for help."

Naaz widens her eyes in panic, this is the last thing she wants. "Shit." She muttered. Sidhant is taken aback by the new form of information, he turns to her and finds naaz standing there biting her lips, nails all in tension.

He definitely confused now, but there is a big matter in front of him which he doubts from few days. Crossing his hands near his chest he looks at keyaan, "Ohk, but this nowhere says that you are too fuck confused and lied. We didn't teach our intern to lie."

She is in a little relief, has time to think of another lie for him. Because it is not the time to tell him anything about ryna and it also can mix up her surprise. Whatever ryna confessed, she still not sure what to say or think. Maybe because it's not her right to do anything.

He suffered, he bears all the pain if someone needs to decide what to do, is he. She is no one to tell him anything about this matter, all she should think about the birthday party and the closure with siraaj. About ryna, she will just inform him about the conversation that too if he will be ready for it.

And before all that she needs him to be him, real him. From where she is watching, already successful in pissing him a little because of the lie. But she is confused to see keyaan all sweating and his hands are shivering..

Sidhant clenched his jaw and asks, "Tell the truth keyaan or ready to face the consequences and end of your medical career. Why the fuck you lied?" He yelled at last. Making all stand still in their place, kartik come near naaz and poked on her arm with a scarred face.

She is also confused about his reason of anger, if it's because of her then she gonna be dead today. He looks dangerously intimidating whenever come into this role, not forget to mention handsome.

Keyaan stammer by looking at him, "No..dr sidhant, I don't know anything. Just do what dad ask me to. I am really sorry." Sidhant knew this, something not right till the day he joined as an intern. Controlling the anger rushes inside him, he tries to be a little normal.

Can't show his temper in front of her, no matter that he is pissed on her also.
"What he asked you to do? Say the truth and you will be all safe including your career otherwise, I don't think to remind you what power I actually hold in this profession." His tone is as threatening as it can be.

He thinks for some time then says, "He said, if..if we need to increase the..popularity of private hospitals needs to bring govt hospitals into controversy. This is one of the famous govt hospitals, so..he just asks..me to do this.. I am sorry dr."

His confession made all present there shock to the core, none thought that this could be the reason. Sidhant questions by shaking his head in disbelief, "And what about the patient? Your father's plan is to let him die, right?".

Lowering his head keyaan murmurs, "I am sorry, he put me under dr. Naaz because she is also new." Sidhant moves his both hands in the air in disbelief, people can go to any level for their own needs. He was always confused that why they keep keyaan under naaz.

But the doubt creates on his mind when one of the board members talk to him in the morning. She told that mr. Khaleja, is so much into defaming the govt hospitals on every topic. He is talking about increasing the number of people in private so that the profit rise.

He is busy doing little research about it and now this incident clears his doubt. Looking at keyaan he says, "Tell your dad that it his time to retire from the board."

They all headed to orchids, the matter is being a serious for the hospital. Sidhant is all busy on the way to talking with other board members, keeping keyaan's confession in court. Naaz is also shocked as others, but due to this issue none getting any chance to talk.

Reaching the hospital he comes to her by keeping the phone on hold, "Go home with the driver and rest, I will be late in the meeting." He said normally. She held him from shoulder and says, "No, I love to wait for you."

Closing eyes he takes a deep breath to calm himself, he is too frustrated at this moment because of the whole situation which includes her lie also. But as per his rules, he needs to be calm with her, "Baby, go home. Board meetings take time, I will see you at the breakfast. Love you."

He pecks her forehead and leaves before doing anything stupid.

Naaz can feel that his level of tolerance is already on the verge, some more push and he will blast. Good, without doing anything her plan is working. How to piss off your boyfriend? The plan is already ready on her mind. Just needs to wait for the morning.

Sidhant be all busy in the meeting for near one at night, it successful after nicely expose khaleja in media. Keyaan is out of orchids but he can work on any other hospital he wants.

In all the mess, he forgets to celebrate her first success. Don't know why she lied, but one thing is good she was not with the keyaan and anyway he trust her. She would definitely tell him, whenever feel the time is right. At first, it was hard to control but he have to and also cope up her tomorrow.

For ruining her best day...

The next morning naaz open her eyes with the mind-blowing, nose warming smell of food coming from the kitchen. Sitting on the bed she facepalm herself in irritation, "You are gone naaz, how will I avoid such a tasty food. I am feeling sorry for me."

With a crying face, she darted to the washroom.
