Mari's POV

"Would you like to go out with me?"

"Of course Kitty!"

About 10 minutes before the date

"Mari, what about the green ribbons?!" 'Crap! I almost forgot!' I quickly grabbed them and tied them in my hair. Then I grabbed my purse just as Tikki phased into it. I ran out the door as fast as I could. When I got to the meetup place, Chat still wasn't anywhere to be seen. I looked at my phone. '9:00. Just on time.' Right as I put my phone back in my purse, a black silhouette appeared in fronted me. Chat walked up to me in a tux. He bowed and handed me a scarlet red rose.

I took it with a smile. "About time Kitty! I was wondering if you might've forgotten about me."

"Oh how could I forget someone so pur-fect as yourself?"

I giggled. "Where are you taking me?"

"Somewhere, far, far, away...Close your eyes!"

When I closed my eyes, I felt Chat pick me up in his arms. I wrapped my arms around his neck before he began to leap. I could feel the wind on my face as he jumped from building to building. When we got there he gently set me down.

"Ok you can open your eyes now..."

When I opened my eyes, I gasped in shock. We were on the near top of the Effiel Tower. There was a circular table with 2 chairs. A vase of flowers were in the center of the table with candles on either side. Then a plate of food on each side with empty glasses. There was a bottle of sparkling water unopened, waiting to be used. And there were mints for after the food was done to freshen breath.

"Do you like it Princess?"

"Like it? Absolutely Not. I love it!"

15 minutes later

"No way that actually happened...!"

"I actually did, I used to basically worship Ladybug!"

Me and Chat were talking with each other, exchanging silly stories with one another. It was nice to get to know this side of Chat. He was so much more open to me than he was to Ladybug. Chat continued to explain is 'alter' to ladybug.

"But that was all before I met you."

"Aww! Chat that's so sweet of yo- Ahh!"

I fell of the Effiel Tower, and then realized the Tower was falling as well.

"Mari! No!"

Chat pushed off of the Tower to get a boost to me. He tried to grab me, but I fell even faster. An object separated my view from his. I knew that if I didn't transform, I would die.

"Tikki, can anyone see us?"

"No your too high up, for now."

"Tikki, Spots On!"

I was surrounded in pink light as I transformed. When my yo-yo was formed, I grabbed it. I aimed it somewhere that I wouldn't be seen by Chat. The Tower was falling faster and faster. As it hit the ground, I heard my partner yell.

"No!"

I then saw Chat looking in the debris for most likely me. Or what was left of me because I would never have survived a fall that high as Mari. I swung down to him, where he was lifting things up and looking frantically for me, well, Mari. He was sobbing as he called for me/Mari.

"No! Marinette I'm so sorry!"

I nearly began to cry myself seeing him like this. I went over to him and placed my hand on his shoulder. "Hey Chat, it's ok. I saw her and took her to safety. Chat looked up at me with tears in his eyes and streaming down his face. Then he jumped up to be and hugged me tightly.

"Thank you Ladybug! Thank you...!"

I hugged him back, letting him have time to take the news in. He was somewhat hyperventilating while sobbing, glad that Mari was ok. After he had calmed down, I pulled away from the embrace. "Ok Chat, we have an akuma to catch, ok?" He pulled away, with some tears still in his eyes.

"Ok LB, I'm ready..."

Me and Chat jumped across Paris, looking for what could've caused the Effiel Tower to fall down. Then, I spotted some suspicious looking people. "Chat, quietly, come look at this." Chat came over, so sneaky, I wouldn't know he was coming if I didn't see him. We both settled behind a ledge. They were whispering something I couldn't hear.

"LB, you should use your yo-yo to get a translation."

Chat could obviously hear because of his enhanced hearing. I opened my yo-yo and put a headphone in my ear to listen. There were 2 voices, one female, one male. I first heard the male voice.

"Did you find him?"

"Of course Hawkmoth..."

Chat and I nearly revealed our hiding spots from the shock. I mouthed to Chat, "Hawkmoth?" to make sure I wasn't just hearing things. Chat slowly nodded, then looked back at the 2 people. I heard Hawkmoth speak next.

"Was he with anyone?"

"Yes, I saw Chat with another girl, Marinette, I think."

Me and Chat gave each other wide eye glances, then Chat turned back to keep listening. I thought to myself. 'Was someone spying on me and Chat during our date?' I heard the girl speak again.

"On a totally unrelated note, I have a hunch to who Ladybug might be."

I nearly blew my cover. Chat mouthed to me. "Do you know what this is about?" I shook my head back and forth nervously. I mouthed back. "I wish I did." When we looked back, they were gone. Me and Chat were immediately put on alert for anything around us. We silently jumped off to somewhere much safer, making sure we weren't being followed. When I was sure we were alone, I spoke first. "Chat, what do I do? My identity is at risk!"

"Use your lucky charm, it should help you."

I grabbed my yo-yo and whispered, "Lucky Charm...!"

It was a...mousetrap? What should I do with this? I saw a mischievous grin on his face. 'Oh no.. I can feel the puns comin-'

"Well M'lady, It was nice of you to think of Cat-ching dinner with me, but my plans are full right now. Maybe another time?" I groaned. "Chat! Ugh...Now's not the time...!"

Then I realized what I had to do. It was risky, but if I pulled it off, my identity might just be safe until we catch Hawkmoth. "Chat I have to go, meet me at the park near our statues in 5 minutes." Before he could respond, I zipped away on my Yo-yo.

After I got to a safe alley where no one was watching, I de-transformed. "Tikki, I need multi-mouse for this." She nodded at me, then flew into my black purse. 'Crap! I forgot I'm still dressed up for the date with Chat!' Thankfully, I was wearing flats, so I could still move quickly.' I peeked out of the alley, making sure no one was around. I quickly left and headed to Master Fu's.

"When I almost arrived to the doors of his house, Tikki barely nudged me, making me aware that I was indeed being followed. I walked past the house and turned a corner. I jumped through the wall in the secret entrance to Fu's. When I jumped through I pressed a button on the inside, sealing the entrance. I could hear on the other side, someone walking past the entrance. As soon as the sound was gone, I walked further in and found Fu meditating.

"Master Fu!"

He opened his eyes. "Marinette, what brings you here?" I was careful not to say too much, just in case Fu was being targeted as well.

"I need multiple power boosters for the miraculous."

"Anything else?"

"I need the Mouse, Fox, Turtle, and dragon miraculous."

Well Then! Such a cliffhanger! Sorry I just had to. I had room for a more steady ending but then I was like, "Nah, they can all wait!" I have to go now, get some sleep before school.
