Chapter 19 - Hidden Secrets

I hasn't posted in FOREVERS! I has been busy studying for an AP test that is 2 weeks from now. I has been so stressed I can't even English. @OwlWolf22091 proofread this chapter btw, If you don't already follow her, go do it! But anyway, here is the Chapter. Enjoy!

Some night in Paris

Chat Blanc's POV

I stood in the empty, dark streets of Paris, looking down at my destructive power.

I was void of all emotion, being drained the night I got my power. After Mari left, I had no room for feelings. They just got in the way. 'I have to find the Ladybug miraculous myself. To get her back, no matter the cost...' Just as I was about to leap off somewhere else, a glow appeared in front of me. I quickly grabbed my baton, ready for an attack. But what surprised me the most is when I heard Mari's voice.

"Chat...Please Chat...Keep them safe..."

Before the voice could continue, I whacked the glow with my baton, not wanting to deal with another illusion. To my surprise, when my baton collided with the glow, it didn't just fade away, it resisted before giving in and disappearing. 'Almost as if it was actually her, reaching out to me...No! Dispel the thoughts! It's not possible!' I jumped over to the mansion, my house, but never my home.

When I got there, I went inside to his office. After I entered and closed the door, I heard something being dropped. I turned and saw Natalie, with a tray of tea now spilled on the floor. 'Apparently she was freed from jail too...' I leap over to her and cover her mouth with my hand and hold my baton at her throat. After she stops struggling, I ask her a few questions.

"Will you scream if I let go?"

She shook her head, and I let go of her, but still held my baton in hand. I looked at her again, assuming she might know more that I do.

"Where does Mr. Agreste keep his secrets? And if you know which one I am talking about, you better not lie, I will be able to tell, and that would be bad news for you."

She gulped down her fear as she lead me over to a picture. She spoke out, telling me information, but not as specific as I might want. She opened the picture out, like a door with hinges. Inside was lots of safe keep items, but she went over to the safe and opened it. She took out a book and handed it to me. The binding was fairly new, meaning it was recently made. She tried to speak in a monotone voice, but I could feel the fear coming from her.

"All of his secrets are in there. I get it for him when he cannot, but I never read it, he forbids that I do. May I go now, and I swear I will pretend I never saw you."

I nodded, looking more at the book than her. She hurried out of the room and closed the door, leaving me a lone with a so called 'secret' book. When I opened the book, I saw what looked like short, diary entries. I flipped through the book, until I found a really old paper between the pages. I picked it up, unfolded it and read to myself.

Dear Gabriel,

I wish I had more time with you. I know that you still hold a grudge against me for taking things into my own hands, but I must handle this one myself. I promise I will be back by the end of the week. After that, we will have no more issues with anyone. I Love you.

-Emilie

'My mom?!' I read the book pages that were next to the letter. I couldn't read the pages that well, due to what looked like smeared water, or tears across the pages. I picked out a few things though.

Work...threats...miraculous...body...snow...revenge.

I closed the book, but kept it with me, in case there was something else I might have missed, or looked over. Suddenly, another pink glow appeared in front of me. I looked up and almost choked on my tears. I tried holding them back as I walked over to the image of Marinette. She began to speak to me.

"Chat...I need you...Help me...Eiffel Tower...Tonight..."

I reached out to her and I could almost feel her soft skin in the vision. She gave me a sad smile, before she completely disappeared. 'I miss her so much...Dispel the thoughts! Maybe this was an illusion and they are planning to ambush me at the Tower. It will never work, but I could get ahold of them...' I quickly exit the room and jump off to where I kept all of my secrets no one knew about.

When I got there, I looked around for anyone who could've been looking. When I saw no one in sight, I walked into the abandoned shed and set down the book on my desk. I sighed and quickly exited, off to another location, Mari's bedroom.

Upon arrival, I could tell no one in the bakery was awake. I jumped onto the room and entered through the trapdoor. When I entered her room, I was welcomed by the sweet aroma of bakery goods that always surrounds Marinette. I walked over to her desk, where I saw the black, laced dress she wore when I asked her the question. When I grabbed the dress, a sudden wave of pain overcame me and I fell to the ground. Another voice in my head was trying to break free. 'She will come back! She isn't lost! Control the anger!' I shoved those thoughts down until they were only a whisper. The pain stopped and I sighed out in relief. I left the room and headed to the Eiffel Tower, ready for some answers.

RenaRouge's POV

I was angry and shouted out. "I don't care! If Mari is to get better, I need to help!" I was on top of the Eiffel Tower, trying to get my thoughts together as Carapace tried to calm me down. He spoke in soothing words, but they could never get rid of the pain.

"Rena, calm down. She won't come back because you were angry."

"I know it's just that I-"

Suddenly, another figure jumped to where we were, and finished my sentence.

"Miss her? Yeah, I do too."

I looked closer and saw it was Chat Blanc. I backed up quickly, taking out my flute for defense. Carapace got his shell out as a shield. Chat Blanc didn't seem phased by our actions. He just summoned Cataclysm and walked toward us.

"Where is Marinette? Tell me where you put her and no one will get hurt."

Marinette's POV

I was floating around in some kind of darkness. I tried to appear to Chat again, but there was anger, blocking the connection. I tried envisioning where he was. I couldn't hear anything, but I saw him at the Eiffel Tower, fighting my friends, and they were losing. The vision faded and a wave of courage overcame me. 'I need to wake up. I Need To Wake Up. I Need to WAKE UP!'

Suddenly, I felt my spirit connect with my body again and I sat up and opened my eyes. I saw Fu over by his desk, quickly turning around to my sudden gasp when I woke. I quickly got up and left for the door. Fu grabbed my wrist and I turned around.

"Thank you for waking up. You must go to the Eiffel Tower as soon as possible."

I nodded and he released me. I quickly left the building and rushed over to the Eiffel Tower. I could see flashes of light at the top, only increasing the sense on urgency that I had to get there. I didn't want to arrive as Ladybug, so I took the elevator as far as I could go and the stairs the rest of the way. When I reached the level they were on, no one saw me because Chat Blanc had the two heroes cornered, looking at them, with Cataclysm in hand. RenaRouge and Carapace were looking at him in fear. He spoke out to the heroes.

"Last chance, where is she?"

I knew I had to do something, or they would be goners. I stood up firmly and called out to him.

"Chat?"

Don't kill me! The chapter was too long, I had to end it. I really need to focus on studying, but, there are more interesting things to do with my time, like torture you guys with cliffhangers. Sorry, not sorry.
