Recap: Vaigha leaving - Vaibhav searching her - meeting at the middle of road.

Vaigha's PoV
I woke up from sleep hearing the noises from downstairs. I wondered who is there to talk so loudly. That too in the early morning. I quickly got up from bed and went to washroom. I came back after brushing my teeth. I put the shawl on my shoulder and rushed to the downstairs. My heart started beating while climbing down the steps hearing the familiar voice. I was stunned seeing him there... Vaibhav..he came so early..He stopped seeing me and smiled at me. I smiled back.
"Good morning.."he said
"Good.. good morning.."I fixed my eyes on the floor taking a place behind Nandini Aunty.
He continued talking with uncle. I can feel his sudden gazes on me occasionally.

"Vaibhu..you will be here for breakfast.. won't you?" Aunty asked and he nodded.
My happiness had no limits. I went to kitchen along with Nandini Aunty to prepare the breakfast. I asked about his wishes to aunty and prepared all his favourites while aunty helped me.

Vaibhav's PoV
It's been a long time she vanished into kitchen. I am here to see her and why this girl is playing hide and seek? I stole glances at the kitchen entrance while talking with uncle. Suddenly Nandini aunty came from kitchen. I am still waiting for her appearance. But she was nowhere found.

"Breakfast is ready.."aunty informed and we stood up to wash the hand.

I saw her bringing the plates with shivering hands. I wondered seeing the effect of my gaze on her. It's hardly one night we know each other. She placed the plates on table and I sat on the chair. She served me without looking at my face. I didnt want to make it tough for her. So I averted my eyes from her and decided to concentrate on food. I took the first morsel and placed it into my mouth only to be froze on the place. My eyes filled with tears and it was hard to hide it from others. I gulped the food enjoying each bit of it. I closed my eyes remembering something. It's been many years I am missing this taste. Taste of my mom's food... Now I am remembering her feeling the taste of this food infront of me...

"This food...who prepared it?" I asked aunty who was serving uncle.
"Dont doubt..it's prepared by your wife only..." She replied.

I was surprised hearing it and looked at her who is playing with the end of her shawl. She is not looking at me. Why she is so silent today? Yesterday she talked a lot..

"Why are you not eating?" I asked and she shook her head.
"Come on...sit here...let's have food together.."I said placing a plate beside me.
"Have it Vaigha..you didn't eat anything yesterday too.." aunty said and she hesitately sat on the chair next to me....I smiled seeing her struggles. Suddenly I remembered how aunty told She didnt ate anything yesterday night. She served food herself and started eating from it.
"I hate people around me skipping meals.."I said maintaining a serious expression.
She looked at me confusingly.
"Dont look at me like this.. this is the last warning for you..." I said angrily.
"Dont scare her Vaibhav.."uncle said.
"Sorry.."she muttered and finally I smiled at her.

Vaibhav's PoV
I am standing with uncle outside the house while the ladies returned to other works. I couldn't talk with my wife privately till now. I am waiting for uncle to talk something since he is the one who wanted to talk with me.

"Uncle why are you not talking?" I asked looking at uncle who is smoking a cigarette.
"I have something to talk about Vaigha.." he said making me alert.
"You are her husband now and ofcourse you deserves to know everything about your wife.."he said and I was confused.
"Tell me Vaibhav...what do you know about her?" He asked holding my shoulder.

"I don't know anything about her...I know she is my wife and I married her.. thats all..and..yeah.. yes..she is an orphan.. that's all I know...." I said the only information I know about her.

Uncle started laughing...
"I don't know how you will take it when you realize that the only knowledge you know about your wife is completely false..." He said while laughing...
"What?????" I was shocked.
"Yes Vaibhav...she is not an orphan....she is not someone whom you thinks off.."He said making me weak. I sat on a chair losing all my strength.

He came to me and sat beside me. He hold my shoulders.
"She have a family..she have a father...she is from one of the most reputed family....and you might be wondering now why she is living as an orphan in our orphanage? Isn't it??" He asked and I looked at him blankly.
"It's her decision to live as an orphan..She enjoys this life...she loves living as an orphan..she will always tell that being an orphan gives her more peace than living with money minded people.." he said and I stood up.
"Uncle what are you saying?" I asked him.

"I will tell everything...but think before you do something out of anger...she didn't lie to you..she didn't cheat you..it's you who married her without giving her a chance to reveal her true identity..she is innocent.."He said and now I know something is coming up that will shatter me..Did I marry the wrong person? I caught my head.

"Vaibhav you need to know this truth.. eventhough it's bitter you should know that she is the daughter of Durgaprasad Shenai..."he said and my blood started boiling...I clenched my fist. I want to kill myself for the biggest mistake of my life. I married her...My wife is the sister of that rascal who destroyed my sister's life...I hitted my palm hard on the nearby wall.

"Vaibhav what are you doing?? Stop this..."he stopped me.
"She.. she was betraying me..she.. just like her brother..trapped me..I will kill her today...."I said with red shot eyes and started to walk to confront her. But Uncle came infront of me and stopped me.

"Are you a fool? If you want to kill her, you can do it..I won't stop..but before that you have to answer my questions..after that you can take your revenge on her.."he said making me stop at the position.

"Tell me how did she betray you? How did she trap you? Did she request you to marry you? Reply for this last question...who decided to marry her first? Did anyone force you?" He asked and I didn't have answer for any of his question.

"It's you who decided to marry her..isn't it? Now where is the question of betrayal here? Tell me Vaibhav...."he said and I understood the reality of my blunder. Its me who did this willingly. what I did... How can I face my sister now? What would I tell my brothers now? The family which they once wanted to destroy..I married from the same family with no force... completely based on my wish..I wish to die this moment.

"Vaibhav... believe me... She is innocent..she have no share in her parents and brother's mistakes.... Do you think she will lead a life of an orphan if she is someone like her brother? Do you think I will give her a place in our orphanage if she is a bad girl? Do you think I will forgive anyone who is the reason of my child's shattered life?" He said.
"Then why did she hide this from me?" I asked angrily.
"She dont know anything Vaibhav..."he said and I was shocked.
"Uncle...."I hold his shoulder with a lot of questions in my eyes.
"Yes Vaibhav..she don't know about our family's tragedy and she dont Know the truth that her brother is the reason of that tragedy.."he said making me shock.
"But I was sure that she won't hide the truth about her family to you..And I can understand what will happen the next moment after she reveal about her father.. thats why I decided to open it infront of you before she does..." He said.

I took a water bottle that was placed on the table outside. I emptied it in one go into my mouth. I sat on the chair trying to recollect what uncle told to me. She is the daughter of Durgaprasad Shenai... sister of Arun Shenai....the person who made my sister to go through depression for three months..the reason for her new behavior...the reason why she decided to not marry....I felt my heart aching..

"Uncle tell everything about her before I lose my temper..."I ordered in a high sound.
"I will..she is the daughter of Durgaprasad Shenai..It was not her mistake to be born from him..." He said and I showed my palm to stop him.
"I dont want to hear anything about her father or brother..If you have anything to tell about my wife..spit it out.. don't take those names infront of me...why she is living in the orphanage" I asked.

"She is daughter of my old friend..you know he was my friend when he was a human....but she is not the blood of the person whom you want to kill..."he said again confusing me.

"What?" I asked.
"Yes..If you have patience to hear me..I will tell her story..."he said and I nodded him to proceed.

"She is the daughter of Durgaprasad Shenai and Neeraja Shenai..They named their daughter as Vaigha... their only heir...Her father was one  of the best man that time..My good friend...I still remember how they treated their daughter as a princess..But everything changed after Neeraja's death... Vaigha was just 10 years that time. It was because of family's force, Durgaprasad decided to marry once again...Vaigha was also happy as her father will get a new companion..the worst decision of his life was to marry one of his widower cousin Dhanalakshmi..her husband had died long ago and she had a son from that relationship..it was him Arun..." He said and I closed my eyes hearing that name.

"Arun was just 15 years that time..but he was a cunning boy that time too..His mom and him changed Durgaprasad and dragged him to their path. Vaigha was always a girl who wanted to help others.. She was just like her mom..She won't talk too much... but she have a strong mind and kind heart....her father started doing many illegal businesses along with her new brother and his mom..that costed so many innocent lives...she started questioning them for that..that made her an enemy infront of Arun and his mom...they hated her for that...but they were successful in making her father stand on their side..She became alone in that big house...she has been treated like a stranger by her father too..but she was not ready to leave her morals and ethics for anyone..." He said and I felt tears in my eyes. I felt respect for her...

"Will you believe if I say that your sister's tragedy affected Vaigha more than our family?" He asked and I jumped up from my seat.

"She believed that she can change her father one day...but all her hopes vanished with that incident..she didn't think that her brother can stoop so low...she couldn't believe that her father supported him for that.. playing with a girl's life is something that she couldn't imagine from her family..She left her home that day... leaving behind all her good memories in that house...I came to know about it and brought her here...but she was not ready to be a burden for anyone..I tried to convince her a lot..but she was such a stubborn girl who will never leave her ethics and values..at the end we decided something which was acceptable for her too... staying at our orphanage...she was happy with that... till now her father don't know that she is under my protection. When I decided to conduct marriage of her friends, she forced me to find a groom for her too..she wanted to marry just as an orphan girl... like others....she didn't want any special care from me or anyone.. now tell me did she betray you?" He asked and I shook my head as no. A few minutes ago I decided to kill her and now I felt proud of myself for marrying her. I closed my eyes making way for tears.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" I asked.
"How can I tell this to you when you decided to destroy that family for our girl? How I can say that one of that family member whom you are gonna destroy is here with me..under my protection..."he stopped.
"Sorry uncle..."I said.
"Vaibhav..she don't know anything..she dont know that the girl whom her brother spoiled life is our girl.. Pls don't tell that to her..if she knows that she will immediately go to her to beg for forgiveness for the mistake her brother did..if something like that happens, you know the consequences...she asked me a lot of times about that girl and I replied that I dont know...Pls don't let her know about it...." He requested and I understood what he is trying to convey. I nodded my head.

I sat on the chair and hold my head.
"Vaibhav you haven't done any mistake...you married the right person..you can't dream of such a girl...she is the best match for you..." He said.
"I know uncle..but how can I introduce her to my sisters and brothers.. What will happen when they came to know about her true identity? Already we suffered a lot because of that Arun...I don't know wht to do next.." I sighed.
"Vaibhav.. don't do anything in rush..we should have to think a lot before taking the next step....Till that keep this as a secret..." He said.
I nodded.

Life is giving me new and new shocks every day. How I am gonna survive all these challenges? Will anyone come to support me? Can anyone understand the truth of my wrong actions??

"Vaibhav.."I heard aunty calling me. I looked at her who is coming towards us.
"Vaibhu..are you here to talk with your uncle? Go and meet your wife..she might be Waiting to talk with you..go.."Aunty said.
I looked at uncle.
"What is happening between you both? Are you hiding anything from me?" Aunty asked looking at both of us.
"I revealed everything about Vaigha."uncle said and I can see her shocked face.
"Nandini..he deserves to know about his wife...How many more days we will hide the truth? It's better he knows the truth from us than his own wife..."Uncle said.
"Vaibhu..she is not your enemy..she don't know anything...if she came to know about the truth, I don't know what is gonna happen next?" Aunty said.

"Uncle, aunty...you both have to promise me now...you are not gonna inform her about anything..she won't know her brother's connection with our family from you...promise..."I asked them.
"But Vaibhav.."Uncle was about to say something and I stopped him.
"Pls uncle.."I requested.
"Ok we won't....but you will have to handle this in a sensible way.." he said and I nodded..
"Where is she?" I asked.
"In her room..."Aunty replied and I went to the room to see her.

I entered into the room and saw her sitting on bed. She was playing with her fingers. On seeing me she stood up. She smiled at me and the pain I am bearing in my heart didnt allow me to return that smile.

"Thank you for coming...I didn't think that you will come so early.." she said.
"I am here to see my wife..is it an offence?" I asked and her face brightened hearing the word wife.

Am I giving her too much hopes? What if I need to disappoint her? No..she can't handle anymore in her life.. Vaibhav..stop this and ask her to prepare for everything..she deserves to know about the struggles in upcoming life....

"Vaigha...I have something to inform you.."I said and she raised her chin up to look at me.
"I too have something to reveal..."she said.
"Tell me.."I asked her eventhough I know she is going to repeat the same story I heard just a few minutes ago.
"I am sorry..I couldn't tell this to you at the day of our marriage..I am not an orphan....I.." she said and I stopped her. I didnt have strength to hear that story once again.
"I know everything..Uncle told me about you..Don't worry...I Know your story..."I assured her making her shock.

Uncle was right..it was better I heard it from him..if I came to know about it from her mouth, I don't Know how will I react..it might broke her forever.. Thank God...

"I am really sorry... I didn't betray you by lying to you that I am an orphan.... Actually everything was happened suddenly and we didn't get time to talk before marriage. otherwise I would have informed you about everything..sorry..."she said and my heart smiled at her for her innocence.

"Vaigha..you haven't done anything wrong..but may I know why you decided to marry like an orphan when you have everything?" I asked.

"I don't want money or property..I hate it...for money, People will do anything..My father and brother are very bad people..I lost everything because of their greedy mind...I hated to be the wife of a rich man.. I am scared of money and rich people.That's why I opted to marry an ordinary man..I want someone to love me...not just making me happy with  his money..." She said and I pouted.

"So you hate me because I am rich...?" I asked.
"No...it was my misunderstanding that rich people are bad..you made me realize that there are good people also among rich ones.. thank you for marrying me..god has sent the right person to my life..."she said and I felt relieved.

"Yesterday you told me the story how you saved your friend's life... That moment I understood that I am with the right person whom I always dreamt..." She said and it pained me.

She should know about my problems. I decided hearing her. She deserves to know it.

"Vaigha..do you know anything about me?" I asked.
"Yes..I heard a lot from uncle and aunty these days..I am also waiting to see your brothers and sisters who are your life..I will love them like my own sisters and brothers..I dont have anyone else to love..so I will shower all my love on them..."She said and I closed my eyes smilingly.

If I marry someday, these were the words I wanted to hear from my wife..

"I am also with the right person whom I always dreamt.." I said moving closer to her. She lowered her eyes in shy.
"But Vaigha..I need sometime to convince them..I already promised them that I will only marry a girl whom they choose..It's very tough to make them understand... Pls I need sometime." I said and her face fell down.

"Pls Vaigha..I can't make them sad..they are the only relation I have in my life..They are Seeing me as their god..how can I break the promise given to them?? Pls...."I said.
"What are you trying to say?" She asked
"I Want their acceptance on you before starting a life with you..I can't make them sad....I already promised them that I will marry a girl whom they accept as their sis in law...so pls..I need to convince them..I am asking you sometime.."I said.
"And what about the promise you given to me?" She asked.
"I won't break that promise too..I won't leave you till I am alive..."I said.

"Let me ask a doubt.. how will you keep the promise to me if your sisters and brothers won't accept me?" She asked and I was confused.

"Even if they won't accept you, I will be always your husband and you will be always with me...but don't force me to accept you as my wife..till my last breathe there will be no other woman in my life except you..I won't leave you whatever happens"I said and I saw her face brightening.

"But I know..My siblings love me more than anyone..they only want my happiness..they will accept you for my happiness..Pls believe me.." I assured her and she smiled.

"I believe you..I am ready to wait till they can see me as a sis in law..even for my entire life..I also promise there will be no other man in my life except you.."she said and I felt happy.

"Pls don't hate me only because I said like this.."I requested.
"I like you more only because you said that..."she said and I was confused.
"If you decide to leave your siblings for me, I may hate you..they were the people who were always with you..and you met me three days ago only..If you gave me value more than them atleast till I become someone for you, I can't accept you..
I can't assure whether you will leave me for another girl you met someday...but now I am happy..." She said.

I smiled at her wholeheartedly. I know my siblings will accept her. I can't give a much better sis in law for them..I can now understand why uncle didn't protest when I marry her. It was the best decision of my life... Sometimes right thing will happen in our life in a wrong way..Path will be decided by god and we are only allowed to follow it.

"Thank you Vaigha.."I whispered.
