Recap: Birthday of Sanjana - Vaibhav's promise!!!

Alarm rang on Devansh Bhavan at the highest volume. It disturbed everyone's sleep except the most concentrated(in sleep) person Mr.Arjun Devansh. Amar who is lying next to Arjun got out from bed. He slowly removed his twin bro's leg from his stomach and left to washroom. Sanjana and Krithika are laying together. Sanjana once again fall into sleep after making few attempts to get up. Krithika who was sleeping peacefully with cottons in her ear just turned her side with little disturbance of alarm and again continued her deep sleep. Anjali who is the mature one and busy person got out immediately. She have to report on time in office. She quickly took a shower and rushed to kitchen. Maids were already prepared coffee and breakfast for them. Anjali took a cup of coffee from the kitchen slab and went to her elder brother's room. She opened the room only to see Vaibhav busy in his laptop. With a sigh she rushed to him and placed the cup infront of him with a hard sound.

"I should try a lot to wake up all others in the house. Except you and my Einstein brother..in your case it's difficult to make you sleep..."she said angrily and pouting.

Vaibhav smiled taking the coffee cup.
"Tell me honestly.. didn't you sleep yesterday?"she asked looking at his face.

"Actually I cancelled the conference midway only to attend Sanju's birthday. So I had to do a lot of job to compensate it.."He said without looking at her angry face.

"Are you mad or what? Bhai..we have enough here to live..you have earned for our three more generations to live happily..then why are you working on this tight schedule without concerning your health and sleep..?? I am getting scared seeing all this.."she complained in a low voice.

He understood  that she will cry soon. He placed the cup back on table and went towards her. He hold her shoulders.
"Look my dear mature girl..I am doing all this for my brothers and sisters. I still doubt whether this is enough for you all..I can't see anyone of you suffer for a single penny..It will hurt me..You Know it.. when our parents died in an accident, we didn't have anything left. It was uncle who helped me to start a business.. from that day onwards I am working out of fear. If anything happens to me suddenly on a day, I can't let you suffer like I did when we lost our parents. It's for making future safe for everyone of you.."He said.
She closed her eyes hearing it for infinite times.

"Look.. what you only caring is our future..but what we want actually is your time, presence and love only..we want to spend our days with you.
And you Re earning hard for us without giving us your single minute."she said frustrated.
"I will try to be free this weekend."he said to make her calm.

"Don't give us promises which you can't fulfill..we heard it a lot of times. Anyway everything is going to change. After your marriage your wife wont let you leave her for a moment.."she said as if threatening him.
"Let's see how many days she have strength to tolerate me.."he said going back to the laptop.
"Are you gonna again work? Its too late now.."she reminded him.
"Today I am on leave. For compensating that I need to work some more."he said.
"Why leave today?"she was confused.
"I have to attend an event with uncle. I am the chief guest there. That marriage function of orphan girls." He said while typing in keyboard.

"Oh I forgot about it. Marriage of those orphan girls whom uncle is sponsoring..I also wanted to attend..but forgot to inform leave in advance..."she said in guilt.
"It's ok..its a small function. You dont need to be there.."he said.

"I am getting late. Let me wake up the others.." she said and left in hurry.

A small auditorium is shown. A few people less than 50 gathered here and there. They all are busy in certain jobs. 10 mandaps are arranged at the main hall. It has been decorated beautifully with flowers.

"Nandini..didn't the brides get ready till now? Grooms will come soon..." SathyaPratap asked his wife who is busy in arranging everything.

"They will finish soon. Did Vaibhav start from home?" Nandini asked in return.
"He called me. He will be here at any moment."he said getting back to other works.

Nandini left to the room where the 10 brides are getting ready for the big day of their life. She looked carefully to see only 9 are there.
"Where is Vaigha?"she asked at one of the helper girl.
"She went to temple to pray.."the girl responded.
"Oh god..I have fed up with this girl. When would she reach back? It's her marriage today and she is careless as always.."Nandini complained.
"Don't worry..she is already ready. Might be coming now.." the girl said.

Today is the marrige day of 10 orphan girls who is staying on an orphanage sponsoring by SathyaPratap. The complete expense of the marriage including finding grooms will be taken care by SathyaPratap's charity foundation. Vaibhav is also a part of that community and he is the chief guest today.

SathyaPratap is busy in pre marriage works since he is in charge of all activities. He is caring all girls in that orphanage as his own kids. He have such an emotional attachment with that orphanage and used to visit there along with Nandini.

"Uncle.."Vaibhav reached while looking for his uncle.
"Yes..I am here..." SathyaPratap who became aware of his arrival looked at him.

Vaibhav's PoV
Finally I reached the auditorium where the event is going to happen. I am always proud of uncle for doing these type of charities. He is such a man who have a mind to help others. Ofcourse thats the only reason my family survived after our parents death. For last one week he was busy with this marriage preparations. Even though I am also a member of this community, I didn't get time to work for it. Uncle is the one who always managed my part too..My job ends in handling over the cheque to him. He is such a good man. Today I got an opportunity to be the chief guest of this auspicious occasion. Normally I dont have interest in being guest for functions. Since this is a small event and uncle requested me to be a part, I couldn't reject.

I sighed in relief as I didn't saw large crowd there. Some people came forward and invited me inside. I entered into the auditorium and my eyes start searching for uncle. I saw him talking with some pandit.
"Uncle.."I called him.
"Yes..I am here..."he replied.
"When would be the program start uncle?" I asked.
"Soon..Nandini..."he called aunty.
"Vaibhav..oh god..you reached at correct time...I thought you are busy with your work and forgot about the function..."Aunty came.
I smiled at her.

"Nandini...get the brides bring to the mandap.. grooms are already waiting for them.." uncle said.
"But Sathya... everyone is ready..But our Vaigha didn't came back from temple till now..." Aunty said and I saw a shocking expression on uncle's face.
"This girl..let me enquire her.."he was about to walk and suddenly stopped smiling.

"Here she is..."uncle said and I looked at the entrance.

I was wondered seeing the girl who is coming to us with her guilty smile. Her eyes caught my full attention....Her pink lips, that nose, her ears where the earrings dancing...Her every feature has something that attracts everyone. I blinked my eyes to divert from my thoughts. She is going to be wife of someone else... within sometime...And it worked.
"Vaigha..where were you?"Uncle aksed as if he knows her well. Ofcourse he might be.
She didnt say anything . Instead she touched his feet and took blessings. He blessed her touching her forehead. I looked at them in wonder. This girl..hey..go and marry your man who is waiting for you in the mandap.. instead of wasting my time.. Pls go marry quick..it's urgent...ask that pandit to conduct her marriage first. She took blessings from aunty too and hugged her. Then she went to mandap.
"Smart..."I whispered.
Why she is not talking? Is she like my Sanju? I was confused.

"Come Vaibhav..."uncle and aunt walked infront of me and I followed them.
Pandit asked every bride to stand next to their respective groom.
I take a look at everyone who is going to start a new life. Suddenly I remember about the promise I gave to my brothers and sisters gang. How can I marry a girl? Is it possible? This love and me..it's on two end. Can't join together. Who would be that unlucky girl who is going to marry me??

"What are you saying? Suddenly I heard uncle's loud sound breaking my thoughts.
I saw him talking with others in worry. I moved towards him.
"What happened uncle?"I asked.
"One groom is missing.."he said making me shocked.
"How it is possible?"I asked.

Everyone started their big discussions and gossiping...it was then I saw that girl standing alone in the mandap when others are standing with their partner. It took me less than a second to identify that girl. The same girl who talked with uncle a few minutes before..whom uncle and aunt blessed for a new life..And now she is standing alone looking forward for a shattered life. I felt an unknown connection with her.

"Vaibhav..I dont know how to handle this situation.." uncle collapsed to my chest. I hold him and support him. I made him sat on a chair.

"Why that groom is not coming?"I asked him.
"Don't know..his parents are also unaware of him now.."He said.
"Its ok uncle..we can find another groom for that girl and conduct her marriage on another day..let others tie the knot..."I said consoling him.
"It's not possible Vaibhav..If one marriage didn't happen, others will also cancel." he said making me confused.
"What are you saying?" I asked totally confused.
"The other trust members are saying to not conduct other marriages after making one girl sad. Her curse and tears might affect others life. So they Re forcing me to cancel all marriages and shift to another day.." he said
"What crap are they saying? Wait..let me talk to them.."I was about to go when he hold my wrist.
"No Vaibhav. I can't let my Vaigha suffer..I can't see her in tears..."he said and I looked at her face who is crying hugging Nandini aunty.

I felt a pain somewhere in my heart.
"She is a pure soul..she deserves happiness only Vaibhu..she always make others around her happy and at the end god will make her suffer...I can't see her in tears anymore..she is like a daughter to me.."he said crying on to my chest.

"Sathya sir..there is only one way remaining to solve this problem. Find a groom for her now..if anyone agree to marry her now, all 10 marriages will happen as per planned..."one of the trust members said.
"But how can we search for a groom now?"uncle asked.
"Lets ask..if anyone here is unmarried and willing to do a sacrifice.. then everything will be solved..." The man said.

Uncle and others went for searching a new groom for her. But unfortunately the moment they announced their wish, all people started leaving. Finally there remains no one unmarried.

"So it's final..let's cancel all marriages."one of them announced.
Uncle and me shocked.
Suddenly that girl rushed to us and hold uncle's hand.

"Sathya Uncle.. Pls don't cancel their marriages..don't let them suffer because of my bad fate. My friends marrige should happen as per planned..I don't have any problem for it.. don't let their dreams shatter because of my bad luck " she said wiping her tears.

We can clearly see how much pain she is hiding inside. A teary smile on her lips telling us the story of her untold sorrows.

"It's not possible.. pandit is saying it's very dangerous.."one man said.
"Dont we have another option than cancelling all marriages together?" Uncle asked one last time and he was disappointed.

"Marriages must go on..as per planned.." I said determinantly and loudly.
Everyone looked at my face in shock.
"How? "Someone asked me.
I looked at that girl's face once more. She is also looking me in shock.
"I WILL MARRY HER" I said.
"Vaibhu.."I heard both Uncle and aunt calling me in a shivering tone.

They came towards me. Uncle dragged me to a corner.
"What are you saying Vaibhav? Its not a play to take such a sudden decision." Aunty said.
"I know..it's a sudden decision..but I took it after a lot of thinking..it's the matter of 10 girls life. They should get the life they wished for" I said.
"But Vaibhu..what about your life? Do you think your brothers and sisters agree for this? They always want best for you..I don't think they will accept an orphan girl.."Uncle said.

I closed my eyes and opened it.
"I can manage it..I hope so..Tell them that I am ready to marry her.."I said and next moment uncle hugged me crying. I saw a thankful and proud smile on both uncle's and aunt's face.

"You won't regret for this decision Vaibhu..she would be the best one for you.." uncle said

But I was not in a mood to think about anything. My thoughts are gathered around my siblings. How would they react? Will they accept her? The promise I have given to them..

"She is a good girl..you will be always happy with her"Aunty said and I just smiled.
Soon they started arrangements for the marriages. My heart was beating fast. I can't think about what would happen next...I looked at her who is still in a confused state. She is looking at me through her corner of eyes. Her innocence making me worry. What if she have to suffer more with me? Am I a match for her? Should I back off from my decision?

I closed my eyes and my father's face suddenly came into my mind. I got a new courage as someone saying me to go ahead. And on that moment I decided to proceed with this biggest decision of my life.

Uncle asked me to sat near her in mandap. I went towards her. She sat along with me. Her innocent eyes still haunting me.

Vaigha's PoV
Oh god!!! How quickly someone's life is changing? I still can't believe what is happening in my life..Is it my fate? To be someone's wife who dont Know anything about me..to become wife of someone who is not familiar to me. I can relax thinking that most of the arrange marriages are like that only. But what about him.. did he agree for marriage out of sympathy or to save his uncle's reputation?? Whatever it is.. my fate dragged him to this wedding. I dont Know what is going to happen next in my life. Will he love me?

Pandit started prayers. Soon his uncle handed over the mangalsutra to him. He recieved it with shivering hands. I tried to read his eyes. But it was expressionless. He is not even looking at me. He tied it on my neck. I don't know whether to smile or cry. Somewhat I managed to control my tears. He is still even not looking at me. He is busy in his own thoughts. I saw him biting nails. What happened to him? Did he start regretting for his quick decision? Then pandit gave him vermillion and he applied it on my hair partition. This time he looked at me for a second and quickly averted his eyes realizing my eyes are fixed on his face. We stood up and started taking rounds around the holy fire. We took the vows together and took blessings from his uncle and aunt. And that's the end of this marriage. Now I am his wife and he is my husband.

At Night
The newly wedded Vaibhav and Vaigha gathered in SathyaPratap's house. No one knows what step to be taken next. Vaibhav is sitting on a chair with his hands on head. SathyaPratap is walking here and there thinking about something. Nandini is standing at a corner with a worried face. Behind her Vaigha is standing with her eyes fixed on Vaibhav. She is noticing him from the moment onwards he tied knot on her. But he is not even looking at her. It made her more and more worried. She is at the edge of crying still fighting with her tears. Life is just a question mark for her. On the other hand Vaibhav's condition was not better. He have no idea how to present his marriage issue to his siblings. He knows well that his siblings are possessive and selfish for his life. They might compromise for anything except their brother's life. He remembered the promise again. That made him more tired. He dont have any idea to proceed further.

Suddenly he felt an hand on his shoulder. He raised his head to see his uncle. Thats when Vaigha saw her husband's tired and confused face. She felt a weight on her heart.
"Vaibhav..what have you decided? See its 11 pm...we should do something fast.." uncle said to him.
"I don't know uncle..I think I need some time to convince them about my sudden marriage.." he said without any hope.
Vaigha didn't understand anything.
"I have a suggestion.."Nandini said.

Everyone turned to see Nandini. That was when Vaibhav noticed his wife who is hiding behind Nandini. She seems to be worried..

"We can't make them understand within a night. He is right. It takes some time. Till that Vaigha lives with us. Here in this house."Nandini said.

SathyaPratap nodded his head. It was a shock to Vaigha. Vaibhav seems to be bit relaxed.

"Vaibhav..you dont worry..you haven't done any mistake. Its a good thing you did. Definitely your siblings can understand it. Don't worry about her. She will be safe here...we will take care of her." SathyaPratap spoke.

"But uncle..what if Krithika came here? What would you tell to her if she ask who is the new member?" Vaibhav asked.
"There is no chance that Krithika come here in this coming two weeks... since it's her exam time and she is in preparation..even if she come We can manage it..."Nandini assured.

"Still I am confused..."Vaibhav sighed.
"You go home and take some rest. Let's talk tomorrow morning.. don't worry about anything. May be they have started calling you..dont create doubt for them.."SathyaPratap said.

"Yes Vaibhu..you go now..we will take care of your wife.." Nandini said.

The word wife strikes both Vaibhav's and Vaigha's mind. For a moment they both looked at each other. Then Vaibhav stood up for leaving. The tears Vaigha trying to control now start flowing. He walked towards entrance.

"Nandini show her a room..let her sleep for sometime.."SathyaPratap asked to his wife. Nandini nodded and hold her shoulders. Vaibhav turned back and looked at her once. He saw her teary eyes and it made him stop for a moment.

Then he started walking towards the car and she walked along with Nandini to the room. Both of them don't have any idea about the next phase of their life. What destiny has in store for them. Only thing they knows that they are married and husband and wife now. They don't know whether they can live peacefully as a normal couple.. they don't know whether they will fall in love with each other one day. They are confused whether they can cross all the hurdles waiting for them.. They are worried that whether they are meant for each other...The list continues enough for giving them many sleepless nights..

It took one week for me to complete this update!!! Wrote, edited, again rewrite, deleted, edited..after a lot of checking finally it's here...I didn't want another controversy regarding this story....😐😐
I hope you will like the final output..😉😉

For next update it will take some time. I am currently on the last parts of my another story. After finishing it, I will give regular updates here!!! Till then pls wait.
