Recap: Isha and Priya fight- Isha slapping Veena

Continuation of last part

Ishana's POV

I avoided looking into Sharan's eyes but he raised my face by holding my chin.

"Who gave you the right to slap my sister? Do you know that not even me or dad hit her until now?" he looked straight in my eyes.

"That is the problem. They are so stubborn because you brought them up like that. They are teenagers, not kids and they should at least understand this. You keep shouting at everyone all the time but you don't use your strictness where it is needed. This is not the way to bring a girl up" I spoke using all my courage.

I turned away to escape his rage and he pulled me back to face him. I was surprised to face a Sharan with tears in his eyes.

"Sharan, what...what happened?" I asked cupping his face.

"Veena and Varna say that you are their mother but I couldn't understand that till now Isha. Now I do. You are not like their mother Isha, you are their mother. No body can replace you in their lives" he said emotionally.

I was surprised at his words and he kissed my palm which was still near his cheek.

"Were you scared that I might scold you?" he asked.

"No Sharan, I wasn't thinking that you might scold me or slap me but I was sure that you might kill me" I said and he laughed at that.

"What for Isha? And I saw you kissing her. I know that you were more hurt by that slap than Veena and you were also worrying more about her than Varna" he said.

"Thank god, I was really scared Sharan" I was playing with his shirt button.

"Haha.....Anyways, my sisters are lucky to get a mother like you" he said.

"But Sharan I know that Veena hates me now. I slapped her for which I cannot forgive myself. How can I?" I raised my right hand and started to hit it on the wall.

"Isha! Isha! Are you mad? What are you doing?" he held my hands and shouted at me.

"Come with me" he pulled me towards our room.

"No Sharan, I should punish myself for hurting my sister" I said. He dragged me to our room and made me sit on the bed.

"Isha are you a kid? Why are you being stupid?" he said and I bent my head.

"Ishu, look at me. I said look at me" he said and I raised my head.

"Isha you have the complete right to scold and punish them. Don't worry thinking about me and dad. We believe you and we know that whatever you do will be for the twins' own good. So stop crying" he spoke caressing my hair. His words were like fresh air for my dying soul.

"Now smile?" he asked and I smiled. He kissed on my forehead.

"So do you want to sleep here or with Varna?" he asked and I jumped from the bed.

"Oh god, how can I forget? Varna is alone. I am going" I said and started to move but he pulled me back and settled me on his lap.

"At least tell your best friend a proper good night" he said.

"Good night Sharan" suddenly I kissed on his cheek and rushed to Varna's room without looking back. I don't know what made me do that.

Sharan's POV

I was surprised by her behavior. I touched my cheek where she had placed the kiss and unknowingly a blush appeared on my face. Now I realized what influence she has on me. She has the power to convert any stone into a beautiful heart. Until I met her I didn't believe anyone in this world but now I believe her more than myself. The moment she slapped Veena, I saw the mother in her and when I saw her checking on her later I saw what a loving mother she is.

I always hated every woman in the world and now a girl changed my life without my knowledge. Is this a dream? May be god has sent her for me.
