Chapter 27
Recap: Sharan's past connection with Krishnapuram - Sharan's decision to convince his wife
Sharan's POV
I walked inside of our room and got shocked by seeing the scene there. Isha is packing all her dresses. I couldn't stop myself from blocking her. I held her hands.
"Isha what are you doing?" I asked her.
"Leave me Sharan" she is stubborn and I left her hands having no other option.
"I don't want to live with you in this house. I can't accept my parents' murderer as my husband" she said.
"Isha, at least give me a chance to prove my innocence. Do you think it is fair to leave without even giving me a chance to prove myself? Yes, I am rude but that does not mean I kill people" I tried.
"Okay then, prove yourself but remember one thing, I am not going to believe your words anymore. If you are really innocent then bring me proofs that you are not a murderer" she said and I tried to not let her words hurt me.
"Okay. I will prove myself but I need some time" I spoke.
"How much time?" she asked.
"Two days" I replied after a thought.
"Okay but I can't live with you for these two days so I am leaving to my village. If you are really innocent then I will come back, for sure" she said.
"No, you should not leave. Please don't punish my sisters. Please, you do remember what the doctor said right?" I requested.
"I care for them but-" she started to say but I interrupted her.
"I can understand that it will be difficult for you to live with me but it's me who's under trial, not my sisters. So you can live with them, I will stay away from you for these two days" I assured her.
"And how will you do that?" she asked me confused.
"Don't worry, inform dad and angels that I am going for an official trip and will come back only after two days. They will believe it and I promise you, you will not have to suffer my presence. I will come back with all the necessary proofs. Good bye" I said and immediately left the room.

Ishana's POV
After saying good bye, he immediately left the room. I followed him into the courtyard but before I could see him or stop him, he left the place. I could only catch sight of his over-speeding car. I fall down to my knees and try to stop the tears. I am really disappointed, I don't want him to leave the house. It will be difficult for both him as well as his sisters to stay away from each other. Unfortunately, I am the reason for their separation now.
I very badly want him to return with the proofs. I can't handle the fact that my Sharan is the reason for my parents' death. I might kill myself unable to bear it , otherwise I will kill him,
Please Sharan, please prove your innocence. I want you back in my life.

Three days later
At the temple
Ishana's POV
Why god, why are you punishing me like this? I am fed up with all these. It has been three days since Sharan left. I have tried my best to convince his sisters that he is on a trip but how will I convince them when even I am not totally convinced?
What shocked me the most is that Appa didn't even ask me where Sharan went or why. He didn't even ask me when his son will return.
Maybe Sharan called him separately. I know that he talks to his sisters daily. It hurts me that he neither called me or talked to me. I am missing Sharan so much these days, you can never know. In these three days I did my own research on my parents' death and found out that it was just an accident but I don't want to take any risk so I am still waiting for proofs from Sharan's side. But more than these proofs, Sharan is important for me now. I want him to come back asap.
I finished praying and stepped out of the temple where I saw Sharan's car. I got excited and immediately rushed towards it. I was worried when I couldn't find him there. I then heard a familiar voice and turned around to see Sharan there. I immediately ran towards him and hugged him. He is surprised by my sudden action.
"Where were you all this time?" I asked him angrily.
"I already told you that I am going to collect proofs. What then?" he asked me back.
"So what? Don't you have the responsibility to at least call me once? Oh! I remember now, I am not your wife. According to our conditions, I am only a dummy wife. I have no right on you and similarly you have no right on me" I spoke irritating him.
"Isha, stop it. I didn't think all this. I thought that you are angry with me so I didn't want to disturb you as I had promised" he said.
"That's it? Sharan you will never understand me" I said.
"Isha, please stop it. Yes, I can't understand you, why are you worrying about me when you think that I am responsible for your parents' death and you are angry at me?" he asked me.
"I don't want you to be the reason for my parents' death. That's why I asked you for proof. You are my husband. If anyone else had been executed with the same then I would have surely killed him at that moment itself. That's the difference, may be marriage is a game for you but for me it's my life. Whether you accept it or not, you will be my husband till my last breath. Understood?" I said holding my wedding chain with utmost sincerity.
He is looking at me with a strange look.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sharan's POV
Oh god! This girl always surprises me. For the past three days, I thought she will be angry but here she suddenly hugged me on first sight and all the doubts that I had on her vanished. I didn't call her to give her some peace but I knew each and everything about her through my sisters.
I also know that she has done her own investigation about her parents' death, I have kept an eye on her. I was confused whether she is doubting me or not but now I am sure that she fought with me because she doesn't want me to be the reason behind her parents' death. That is why she asked me for proof. And her sincerity and determination while she held the wedding chain that I tied, ( yes, now I am proud to call her my wife). Oh god! Am I falling for her? I look at her with utmost passion. She is confused at my reaction.
"What happened Sharan?" her voice brought me back to this world.
I didn't reply, instead I dragged her into the car and started driving.
"Sharan where are we going? This is not the route to our home" she said making me smile.
"I have the evidences required to prove my innocence. Don't you want to see it?" I asked her.
"No Sharan, I don't want them" she replied surprising me again.
"Why?" I questioned.
"You are the most important person to me, for me proofs are secondary"
"Please keep quiet, we are going to Krishnapuram" I said looking away from her and back to the road and she as usual got lost in her thoughts.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ishana's POV
I stayed silent as I too need the proofs to accept him completely. I know at my heart that he is innocent but my mind needs the proofs. It took us three hours to reach Krishnapuram. I think Sharan has already informed appa and angels about our journey to Krishnapuram.
Sharan drove directly to the construction site. He asked me to get out of the car and I obeyed him. Sharan talked to the guards and together we walked inside. My eyes filled as I read the board inside. It read, 'Site of Raveendra Memorial Hospital'.
Sharan became alert seeing me in that condition. He holds me close to his chest.
"What is this Sharan? Hospital in the name of my appa...?" I stammered between tears streaming down my face.
"Come, I will tell you everything" he said dragging me to a small room. He made me sit on a chair and handed me a glass of water. I gulped it down quickly. He then turned a laptop on and I saw appa and amma in Sharan's office. So this is his office's CCTV footage.
Seeing my parents face I once again burst into tears. Sharan held me close to him and kissed my forehead. I felt relaxed in his arms.
"Shall I play the video? Are you okay now?" he asked after waiting for some time. I nodded and he started the video. I looked at it carefully.
(Just imagine that the voice part is narrating by Sharan while video playing in laptop)
Isha's parents are seated opposite Sharan. Someone carries coffee and refreshments into the room.
"I am Raveendra Kumar from Krishnapuram" Ravi, Isha's father started.
"I know you well sir. I did a complete research about you and your village before purchasing the land" Sharan spoke, fairly respectfully.
"So there is no need for an introduction. You can imagine why I am here" her father spoke.
"Yes sir" Sharan replied. He wasn't volunteering any information.
"Mr. Sharan Sharma, you can get the land for your project anywhere in the world but we will not get the sacred land in our village anymore. We treat nature as our god. Please don't use that land for construction, it will kill us.
"Sir you are absolutely right, I will get another land using my influence and money but will your village get another hospital if I back away from this project?" Sharan spoke shocking both her parents.
"What, what hospital?" her father asked.
"Yes sir. For the past one year I have been researching on your village. Your village is one of the most hygienic village but you do not have a hospital for emergency purpose. Each year a good number of people are dying in your village because of the lack of treatment. It is very difficult to travel miles to consult a doctor in town. Weren't you looking for a permanent solution for this problem?" Sharan spoke.
"Why are you so interested in our village?" her mother questioned.
"Simply because I am a human being too and I do think about the world. I am planning a nature friendly super-specialty hospital there. It is not for a profit but for my self-satisfaction. Villagers will get treatment at lower costs, that I promise. I will start the work only after getting your consent. If you believe me please..." Sharan passed some blue prints to her father and her father looked at it closely.
"I am really impressed. I didn't think that you have such good intentions. Actually, my biggest dream is to build a hospital in our village and now I am very happy. God sent you for this, thank you very much" her father said.
"Sir you are elder than me, please don't say thanks to me" Sharan spoke and then took blessings from both her parents.
"We will leave now. My daughter is always praying for this, she is going to be so happy to hear this. Bye" her father spoke.
"Sure sir, we will meet in your village soon" Sharan said.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ishana's POV
I was shocked after seeing the video. Before their death my parents blessed their future son-in-law. I made a lot of mistakes unintentionally. Sharan shook me and I responded. He extended a paper towards me, it describes the hospital plan. He then handed me another sheet which shocked me further.
"What is this Sharan?" I asked not able to believe what I am seeing.
"It's all yours Isha" he replied.
I continued to look at the documents which say that the hospital is under my name.
"Are you mad Sharan? What is the need of this? I don't deserve this" I spoke.
"Isha, you deserve this and more. This is yours and your Appa's dream. I am just making it true, that's it" he simply replied.
"Sharan I already regret doubting you. Please don't make me more ashamed and sad. I am really sorry Sharan" I said hugging him.
"Dont worry Isha. It's okay. If I had been in your place, I would have reacted in the same way" he consoled me.
"Will you forgive me?" I asked.
"Did you forgive me for my mistake?" he questioned back.
"Long ago" I replied.
"Then I will too but I have a condition" he said.
"What condition?" I asked.
"Don't cry anymore" he said making me smile. Looking at my smile, he smiled too.
"Isha, I have another gift for you" he said,
"What gift?" What more could he give me?
He handed me another set of papers which shocked the hell out of me.
"These are the divorce papers that you asked me. It's a mutual petition and I have already signed it too. If you want to, then you can sign it and file it. Then you will be free from this relationship after six months of our marriage" he said.
I slapped him but he just smiled in return.
"Are you sure that you can bear this Mr. Rude life long? What did you just say...yes, till your last breath" he teased me.
I smiled and held his shirt.
"Your life is mine and only mine, your idiot's. Don't you dare leave me" I said hitting his chest. He then tore the divorce papers into pieces and we smiled together.
"Promise me that you will not leave me, not even if I tell you to do so in my anger" he asked me.
"I will never leave you Sharan, not until god separates us" I replied and he stopped me from speaking further by putting a finger on my lips. I hugged him and he kissed me on my cheeks. We didn't feel anything but safe with each other's closeness.
"Friends?" I extended my hand to him.
He happily accepted it.
"From today onwards you are my best friend, agreed?" he asked me.
"Agreed a thousand times" I replied.
We spoke to the villagers and cleared their misunderstanding. Everyone is very happy. After some time we started the journey back home. The journey towards the next phase of our lives....
