"What?" Viraj yelled

"Don't shout"

"What did you say?" Viraj asked as he felt his heart slamming against his chest.

"Are you deaf?" Lakshmi asked annoyed

"You said, you wanted to marry me" Viraj said

"I still do. So I decided I will come here and stay for a while. And during my stay I would make you fall in love with me. That was my plan" Lakshmi said

Viraj stared at her in astonishment

"You came here to make me fall in love?"

"What are you? A parrot? Why are you repeating the same thing I say" Lakshmi asked

"Uh I just. I was surprised that's all" Viraj said

"As I was saying, that was my plan. But when I reached her and saw you, I realized I simply wasted my time coming here" Lakshmi said

"What? Why would you think so?" Viraj asked dreading that she had given up even before they started.

"I know you love me" Lakshmi said

"You do? How?"

"I saw it in the way your eyes lit up seeing me. How big your smile was. Then your family's reaction to my arrival simply proved the point. So you see, my trip is wasted. You are already in love with me." Lakshmi said

Viraj laughed

"You know Lakshmi Deshmukh, you always surprise me. I didn't expect you to come for me" Viraj said

"And if I hadn't come, what was your plan?"

"I didn't have a plan. I thought you didn't have any feelings for me" Viraj admitted

"So you decided to give up without trying?" Lakshmi asked making a face

"I would have tried if it weren't for Kabir"

"What does he have to do with it"

"It's a boy's thing Lakshmi. Bro code. You are Kabir's sister, that makes you off limit" Viraj said

"Rubbish. I decided I will be marrying you. I am not going to change my decision for anyone" Lakshmi said

"I don't want to ruin my friendship with him, Lakshmi. I want to marry you with his consent" Viraj said

Lakshmi stood up and held his hand

"Come on. Let's go and ask him now" Lakshmi said pulling him along

"What? Now? At midnight? Are you crazy"

"You are the one who wanted his consent. Why waste time. Let's get it right away. I have a few tricks up my sleeve to blackmail him into submission." Lakshmi said with a grin making Viraj laugh.

A few days passed by Viraj and Lakshmi keeping their relationship a secret from Kabir.

Every time the topic comes up Lakshmi would roll her eyes and call him a sissy.

"If you are not going to tell him, then I will. This is the last day, Viraj" Lakshmi said and walked away.

They both didn't notice the third person who witnessed their conversation.

Kabir was walking out of his class when Lakshmi caught up with him.

"Kabir bhaiyya?" Kabir stopped when he heard her calling him

"Lakshmi? What happened?" Kabir asked with a frown seeing the hesitancy on her face

"Can we talk? I need to tell you something important" she said

"Of course" Kabir said and they both moved to the huge banyan tree on the way to the cafeteria.

"Yeah tell me" Kabir said

"It's about Viraj" she said

"What about him? Did he say something to you Lakshmi?" Kabir asked

"I saw him with your sister. They were very cozy. They are seeing each other behind your back" Lakshmi said and Kabir's eyes widened in surprise.

Lakshmi Patel watched as Kabir walked briskly towards the cafeteria where she was sure he would meet Viraj.

She had seen Viraj with Kabir's sister and it had broken her heart.

And all she could think of was to separate them. She doesn't know when she became a villain. But she couldn't tolerate seeing the man she loves be so in love with another girl.

She knows how much Viraj values his friendship with Kabir and decided on creating a drift between them, which would eventually lead to their break up.

"Is it true, Viraj?" Kabir asked

"What?"

"You and Lakshmi? Is it true?" Kabir asked furiously

Ishaan tensed beside Viraj and their other friends watched in astonishment.

Not able to believe that Viraj had broken the bro code.

"I.. Kabir. I wanted to tell you. I was worried how you would react"

"How could you, Viraj? Have you gone nuts?" Kabir asked

"Kabir, I know you are worried about your sister. But I love her"

"I am not worried about her. I am worried about you" Kabir said

"What??" The boys asked in a chorus

"You don't know her, Viraj. She will drive you mad. You will never know a moment of peace in your life" Kabir warned

"You meanie. I will kill you today" Lakshmi screamed at her brother and barrelled towards him and Kabir, sensing danger, started running.

Lakshmi chased him around the cafeteria and finally tackled him onto the ground and punched him sitting on his stomach

"Oh God. Somebody help" Kabir screamed for help

"I will kill you today." Lakshmi said furiously

Viraj wound his arms around Lakshmi and pulled her up from Kabir

"Jungli billi. Relax" Viraj whispered in her ears

"You saw what she did? You still want to marry her?" Kabir asked

"More than ever" Viraj answered with a huge grin on his face.

"Let us get married. Then I will make him cut all the ties with you. Mark my words" Lakshmi threatened Kabir.
