"I know as per you and your partner I shouldn't be here. I know very well how hard you tried to kill me but to your bad luck I was saved and waited for so many years to put you behind bars." The man said and all of us had pretty much the same expression of shock.

Monster wriggled under Shreyas's hold but couldn't get out of it as Shreyas tightened his hold on him.

The man turned towards me and gave a small smile before turning towards the place where Shreyas and the Monster were standing. The man raised his hand and stroke Shreyas's head slowly giving him a few blessings.

Then the man moved towards Jeet and raised his hand to touch Jeet's face but Jeet stepped back in disbelief and I saw a silent tear rolling out of his left eye. In the next second Jeet jumped from where he was standing and hugged the man tightly as if his life depends on it.

I kept rooted to the place I was standing watching the two of them hugging each other and crying like babies.

"Dad.. How? Where were you all these years if you were alive?" Jeet asked as he broke the hug.

"I am Sorry Son, I couldn't come to meet you and your mom earlier and neither could I inform you both about me surviving the attack from years ago." Shekhar uncle said as he wiped his tears away.

"But why? And where were you all this time?" Jeet asked again like a confused kid.

"Things are too complicated Son and if I would have come looking for you and your mom, I would have invited death to follow all of us. So I chose to stay away till I sort things out and reach to the bottom of everything. Now I have enough evidence that nobody can save that sorry ass they are trying to protect." Shekhar uncle said, looking angrily towards the Monster as he said the last sentence.

"You.. You have the evidence? How the hell did you?" the monster was stuttering and wriggling continuously with sweat on his face. It was evident how afraid he was at the moment.

"Shut up you bastard." Shreyas scolded the monster.

"Shreyas beta language, we have a lady in the room." Shreyas uncle said as he moved towards me.

I was about to touch his feet as a sign of respect when he stopped me and kissed my forehead.

"You are as beautiful as your father always imagined. I am Sorry beta I couldn't save your father." Shekhar uncle said and I hugged him tight since tears started rolling down my eyes.

"Please, Beta don't cry. I know how much you miss him and neither I nor anybody else can fulfill his place in your life but I promise you I will do everything for you that he ever told me he wanted to do for you. And sorry I couldn't protect you from this b.. Monster." Shekhar uncle said as he stroked my hair while I was still crying and hugging him.

"Thank you, Uncle. It wasn't your fault that Dad couldn't survive the attack. But I am happy that at least you did. Its been too long and I was a child when he passed away, I remember very little of him now. Yes, I miss him and our life would have been very different if he was alive but I am still happy to have my second dad." I said as I parted from the hug.

Shekhar uncle smiled and kissed my forehead again as he gave me his blessings. Then he turned towards the Monster.

"And for you my friend, I have special arrangements. Let's go meet your other friends." Shekhar uncle said and pulled the Monster from the collar of his shirt and dragged him out of the room followed by Shreyas.
