Poetry seems an easy way to express feelings and impressions, however it is more of a regulated form than any other I saw so far.

I tend to think that Poetry is like Architecture. For it to have an impact it requires good proportions, great design and a certain elegance… The functionality also is important.

I am new to Poetry. Though, I like the music of the words, I am not always comfortable with strict rules… Reading @PoetsCorner guide on Poetry, What makes a … poem, I find that I probably would be able to write in Free Verse, or even in Prose.

This piece is dedicated to OwainGlyn. My greatest thanks to Owain who helped me keep balance and make sense. Poetry seems easy when you read it, but there are many things to think about that could make a piece as good or as bad.

Peace sets like éclair

Echoes of war away

Above field stillness

Canon in disarray

Exit death and despair

Rest my dear friend

Erase your pain

Soul will transcend

‘Twill reach Eden

Hope is restored

On empty heart

Promise the World

Ending this part

Home calls to him

Onset new day

Mother crying

End his journey

Love is trueness

Old friends revel

Village joyous

Echo the bell

Irene awaits

Retain his heart

Enjoy the warm

Now life can start
