The long classes had finally come to an end as I slowly shuffled my legs to my room. Since Karen's asthma attack Alex has been dropping by lately which I felt was kind of irrelevant. I humped on my bed drawing Karen and Alex attention which were watching a movie from her laptop.

"You're back from class" Karen chirps

   "Yes" I dragged tiredly

"Since it's a Friday can you be able to join Alex and I to this party by 7:30?" Karen asked

"I'm sorry but I can't come"

"I knew she would disagree" Alex said which earned him a glare from me

"Why?, Are you that tired?" Karen asked feeling concerned

"No, I'm going out with someone"

Immediately I said this, Alex looked at me, confusion and a hint of an emotion which I couldn't really point out displayed in his eyes.

  "Ooh, you're going out on a date" she cooed

  "Not really, am just going out with someone"

"Okay" she answered not fully convinced

"So do I know this guy?" She asked

"You haven't seen me with any one except my girls, so I don't think you know him" I said thankfully Karen gave up on questioning me any further.

I allowed myself to relax as I drifted to my own world, not long my phone beeped indicating I just received a message from no one other than Hadrian, since we exchanged numbers, I lazily picked up my phone as i read;

Sorry for disturbing, just wanted to remind you of the plan. I'll be at your place by 7:30.

Gladly since it's a Friday, I have no problem going, since it's still 7 I've got just 30 minutes to prepare, using my dresser to block Alex and Karen from seeing me undress, *especially Alex*, I sluggishly wore my checkered sleeveless dress, which ended a bit above my knee I dressed my hair as I waited for Hadrian's call. Finally receiving a beep from Hadrian, I quickly wore my shoe as I grabbed my bag and jacket in case of cold.

"Wait up so we could all go down together" Karen says without much thought I waited as she redressed her hair, we all moved out, Alex stayed at Karen side, I could feel Alex stealing glances at me, I pretended like I didn't notice as we took the stairs down.

   I moved to Hadrian who was standing by his car, I gave him a brief hug as we exchanged pleasantries, while hugging Hadrian my eyes drifted to Alex as he gave me a look of disbelief and that same emotion I couldn't still make out displayed in his eyes as he shakes his head slowly as he entered his car.

I pulled out of Hadrian's hug as he opened the door for me to enter his car, I slumped into the seat clearing my head of the look Alex had just flashed me , we drove in silence on like Alex that loved to play different hip hop songs, I'm not one that feels comfortable in silence so I tried to engage him in a conversation.

"So where in particular are we heading?"

"You have to wait till we get there" he says with a small smile

"As much as I love surprises, I really want to know" I insisted

"You really do want to know huh, don't worry we're almost there"

  "But we've been on the road like past an hour now, and we're so far from school, wait do you want to kill me?, I mean there are lots of ways to kill me instead of bringing me this far"

"Don't say that, you're so amazing I wouldn't try to mess with a strand of your hair" he says as he flashes me a look of sincerity which lit something in me, I must say his good with words unlike Alex, as I smiled back at him, not long the car came to a halt in front of a wooden building, I nervously stepped out of the car as I tugged at the hand of my bag.

  Hadrian stood by my side which I didn't really pay attention to as I read the sign that says "Wood Café", the building was made of wood and glass on the outside, it gave out a welcoming feeling which I enjoyed, moving in I noticed the walls were made of fine wood, the room wasn't so bright which gave it a homey feeling the faint scent  of wood polish and food wafted into my nose. Hadrian really has a nice taste in places. We made our way to the last booth as I stared out the glass window as cars zoomed down the road, the seat was made of fine leather which I also liked.

   "What may I get you?" The waiter said interrupting my view, I quickly went through the menu, I'm no healthy eater so I ordered beef burger and an iced French vanilla mocha while Hadrian ordered two slice of pizza and latte.

   "So what do you think of this place?"

  "I love the feeling of this place, literally the person responsible for this deserves to be imprisoned, how can someone make a place you never wish to leave" I say as Hadrian's light laughter made me want to squeeze his cheeks, I mean how can one look cute and hot at the same time, I had to remind myself that he has a girlfriend which I should respect.

"I'm glad you love here" I love the way he sounds with his intoxicating deep French accent.

"Why wouldn't I?" I say as the waiter sets our food on the table.

I take a bite from my burger as Hadrian watches me.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

   "I want to know what you think about it"

"I like the fact that it's spicy than the regular burger"

   "Really?, that's all"

   "Yup"

"What about the mocha?"

"I love it, really" I said trying to convince him

"At least you loved it which am okay with"

"Sure you are" I say as we rounded up.

It was a long drive back to my campus, finally getting to my stop, I turned to Hadrian who was already staring deeply at me with a fire burning in his eyes which I could easily recognize, I had to break the stare not willing to do anything that may come to stab me in the future.

  "Um, thanks for taking me to your best spot"

  "No, thank you for going out with me"

"Then I'll have to say you're very much welcome", I say as I smiled opening the door. I came to a halt when Hadrian held my hand back as I turned to him slightly confused.

"Something's on your hair"

"Ooh" I say quite embarrassed as I touched my hair confused.

"Let me help"

He placed his hand by the side of my hair as he drew close to me and placed a light kiss on my lips.

It happened so fast that, I couldn't wrap my head around it, it felt like my brain was still trying to process what had just happened as I left his car not letting him say anything to me. As I moved to my room, I didn't know if I should feel happy or bad about it. But all I know is I've got to tell someone....
