"Lisa, why haven't you called me since you arrived at school?" My sweet mum asked furiously

"Am sorry mum, school's been very stressful lately"

"I've been worried sick about you"

"And you haven't called me?" I say with a light laugh so she won't misjudge me as being disrespectful, I knew she felt guilty for not calling, that's why she tried putting the blame on me

"Your dad tried calling and your phone was switched off"

" I guess it's my fault then, am sorry " finally saying what she wanted to hear

"I hope you're studying well"

"Yes mum"

"Make sure you send my greetings to Cheryl and family"

"Yes mum, bye"

"Bye"

I sighed heavily, I do miss my mum and I also understand that she barely have time to call since most times she's busy with work. I joined Nat who was watching "The fault in our stars", I do love the movie but I hate the fact that I always cry which Nat keeps taunting me of.

" let's go to Cheryl's " Nat says interrupting the movie

"Why now?" I cried

"It's been long we all hanged out"

"You have a point"

"So what are we going to do?"

"I don't know, just dress let's go"

Thankfully Cheryl's boyfriend was nowhere to be found, I can't bear any embarrassment, maybe because I'm shy. We sat on Cheryl's bed talking about random stuff when something popped up on my mind.

"Can we go on an all night drive?" I asked.

"That's a good idea" Nat chirps in support.

"I don't want to leave"Cheryl says in a bored tone.

"What if?" I say wiggling my brows at her knowing I've got to bribe her with Doritos and Starbucks.

We were in Nat's car heading to nowhere in particular as we were whiling our time away eating and drinking as we move to the beat, till Cheryl's boyfriend Henry decided to interrupt the fun as he called telling her, he was in her room, though he didn't mind leaving to coming back later which Cheryl declined as she drew the drive to an end as we start heading back to her room.

"Such a show spoiler" I say as I looked out the window

"Don't be jealous, dear" Chery said in laughter

"Jealous?" I spat

"Don't worry, you'd get yours soon" she continued

"Hey, Cheryl you won't believe Lisa got some potential suitors" Nat said mockingly as I looked at her confused

"Really?" Cheryl exclaimed

"Yeah" Nat answered

"And who are these potential suitors please?" Cheryl asked

"Um, this French guy and Alex"

"What!" I exclaimed

"Wait do you mean Alex Hudson?"Cheryl asked

"Yup" Nat answered popping the p as I face palmed myself

"What have you been doing behind my back?" Cheryl asked in a mocking tone

"First off Hadrian is in a relationship"

"That doesn't mean something can't happen" Nat says

"Not for me" I replied

"What about Alex?, What's the excuse?"Cheryl asks with a questioning look

I didn't reply

"okay" Nat says taking a peek at me as she drive

   Finally arriving at the parking spot Cheryl and I stepped out departing to our various rooms as Nat made her way to Devon's, it crossed my mind to ask Nat to help me find out what's up with Alex, I don't know why I still cared though but I'd find out one way or the other. I know am being nosy but I just wanted to help him.

I came to an abrupt stop when I saw a small crowd surrounding someone in front of my room. I hastened my steps as I broke through the crowd as I saw Alex administer karen an inhaler as she struggled to breath, I parted the crowd so she could receive more air. Immediately she regained herself, Alex carried her straight to bed which I was thankful for cause I couldn't carry her, I wondered what had triggered the attack, which I would ask later since it's not a good time to ask, for now I'm relieved. An uncomfortable silence filled the air as I struggled not to blot out anything inappropriate at the moment.

"How've you been?" Alex asked

"Ooh, I've been good"

"Maybe, am sorry about everything last time" he says as he smiles at me like nothing had happened few minutes ago

"Maybe?" I said with an astonished look

"Yeah maybe, what do you expect me to say?"

"I expected a letter of apology, Alex"

"Wow, say my name again"

"Alex" I say with a questioning look

"Say it louder" he says with a smirk

"You've got to be kidding me" finally realizing what he meant

"Do you want to go somewhere with me?"

His question came to me as a surprise I thought he didn't like me around
"Sorry I can't I'm really tired so maybe another time"

"Really?, you're rejecting my proposal" he says with a smirk as I felt a hint of hurt or embarrassment in his tone

"Am sorry, I just came back from a long drive that's why"

"Okay" he says as he turns his back on me.
