The Sea's Reflection
A/N- Our love, like the boundless ocean. We know very little of it.
Diving straight in, clueless children not afraid of anything. Not a care in the world
But it lead us here, not a single speck of that said promise.

P.S- I know you guys want for Giyu to slap Douma but for plot reasons we can't 😌. Actually I also wanna slap him too!

Narrator's POV
And here we are back at the group, Everyone having the time of their lives.
The night was still young so they had the beach all to themselves.
The teens were actually having a dip near the shore, laughing as Inosuke was catching some of the crabs that were shone over by the Moonlight.
Gyomei with his huge stature was keeping an eye at them, while he was cracking some freshly picked coconuts from the trees nearby.
The Girls, That being Makomo, Shinobu, Mitsuri, Kanae, and Kyotuki were all watching the kids who were playing in the sand as Inoue, Sekiro, and Kōhai were joined by Iako as she was basically the older sister.
They were at the Gazebo chilling as the kids were Infront of them.
Sanemi was at the Grill, beer in hand and a that same BBQ Friday attire dads would usually go with flipflops and the Aloha polo shirt being the highlight of it.
The Kamado Family was actually here too. Tanjuro and Kie joining them all as the kids ran around.
Rokuta, The youngest Kamado sibling eventually joined the other kids as Kie went with the Girls talking and chattering about their husbands as they waited for the feast.
Shigeru, Takeo and Hanako were playing ball as Nezuko and Tanjiro watched over them from the shore.
Makio, Sumi, and Hinatsuru were getting the food prepared as they were cooking for them today and they happily did so.
They were cooking at some Butane Stoves if you're wondering.
The other girls actually wanted to help but they kindly refused the offer telling them to relax and let the 3 of them cook for once.
Plus they heard from Uzui that they cooked wonders, like Gordon Ramsay style of Cooking.
Sabito and Uzui were already starting the drinking as they waited for the other men to go with them.
Kyoujuro was having a lovely chat with Yoriichi, who came along to watch over his nephew.
Iguro was getting a few more sticks for the campfire as he wanders around the Groves.
And surprisingly Douma and Giyu were both talking to each other, Like a genuine conversation was happening believe it or not.
They were actually near the Cabin like houses near the Gazebo, as they stared at the others from the porch.
Douma actually approached him first, wanting to start a conversation with him.
"So, Hey? It looks like the two of us are the only ones here......... So how is life for you? And I'm sorry if I'm intruding your silence" Douma asked, apologizing for the sudden intrusion and still very ashamed if his previous acts.
Giyu was surprised with his sudden approach, not even saying a word for about a minute before he replies in a low but audible voice.
"It's okay, I was only surprised. But what is it that interested you in our conversation now?" He replied, with the taller blonde having stars in his eyes for the progress.
"Oh, Haha! I was only passing by when I saw you here. Probably admiring the view right? So as I've said before how's your life dude?" He asked once more, as Giyu gave him a small smile.
"I can say that it's been better, thank you for asking. But I should be asking you too, How are you? Your family I mean" He replied, before asking about Shinobu and Umi.
"In all honesty it's been amazing! Shinobu is definitely an amazing Mom and Umi is such a sweet little girl. I definitely couldn't ask for more" He replied, beaming with excitement about the said topic.
"Yeah, she definitely is...." He mumbled to himself, Douma not noticing the silent remark Giyu gave.
"I mean, I was really struggling at first since all of us know how my past was such a prick to everyone but you guys still helped me a lot. You might never notice it but you helped me too, because without you literally punching my face before and always telling me to get rid of such behaviors I wouldn't be the person I am today! So thanks Dude, seriously thank you" Douma adds, Giyu smiling at the memories of him protecting Shinobu and the other Girls in their class from the old perverted Douma.
But what made him smile the most is that Douma never spoke a lie in any of those words.
Giyu, who literally remembers everything for the past 100+ years would know if he lied or not.
Some of his lives he worked as people who distinguishes the human nature and it's instincts, lying and the body language that consists the upmost importance in that field.
And with such a vast knowledge in that area he always read people so easily.
But Giyu was glad, Why you ask? It's because he knew that this Douma was different from most of the reincarnated versions of him.
His intentions were pure and the results could talk for themselves.
When he sees those beautiful lilac eyes he sees nothing but bliss, something he hasn't seen from her in a while.
And on Umi's beautiful, Lapis Lazuli eyes radiate the face of a child that is loved by her parents.
Somehow it relieved Giyu that they both were in the right hands, since he still couldn't trust his own.
"I'm glad to be a part of your change of heart, honestly I didn't realize I made such an impact. But I am grateful that you still try and recognize me as a friend rather than the guy who punched you, I also apologize for that too" He replies, while Douma just laughs it off.
"You know I'm starting to think that we could've been good friends, well if it wasn't for the fact that I acted like a stick up the ass before. But it seems that were already starting to befriend each other! So I'm definitely glad that we're getting along" Douma spoke, while Giyu just smiles at the thought.
"Yeah, we could've been. But as you've already said we are already getting along, so why don't we make it official? Friends?" Giyu replied, lining his left hand for a fist bump with Douma having a grin wider than Joker's.
"I thought you'd never ask!" He replies, fist bumping him back as both laughed.
"Oi, both of you! Don't just stand there and help me!" Sanemi called out as both just laughed.
"We heared 'ya! And will you stop screaming?! It'll make you look older" Douma teased, with Sanemi just barking back.
"Shut the Fuck up you blonde Idiot! Now help me or I'll beat your ass!" He screams again, while Douma just said fine and just went to the Albino man.
Giyu was trailing behind him, a smile still plastered throughout his face as everything was going so smoothly.
And it was definitely a night he would never forget.
Giyu's POV
So it seems like everything has been going uphill.
I've reconciled with Douma, the guy who literally killed Shinobu in our first life.
The others seem to have forgiven me from my past actions and are even concerned about my wellbeing.
It's quite funny actually, my first life was the total opposite.
I was known to be the black sheep of the group.
I only talked when it was necessary, I liked to isolate myself from the others and that's why they didn't like me.
All I had in mind was the goal of defeating Muzan and destroying the demons because I didn't want anybody else to suffer the same fate I did.
Sabito died, Makomo died, my family died, and Shinobu died.
Till this day I'm still blaming myself for what happened, it still broke my heart.
But I guess I've already accepted my faith, it feels like I didn't even have an impact on trying to change it.
But this is probably better, atleast no one is hurt....... Atleast no one is suffering.....
"Oi! What are you doing knicktwat! Are you gonna chop those onions or am I the one chopping you!" I heard Sanemi scream at me, with me getting on with the chopping.
It was easy but Sanemi said otherwise.
"Why are the onions unsymmetrical! And I said cubes not logs!" He screamed once more, he reminds me a lot of Gordon Ramsay except that he's way more aggregated.
"I'm sorry for not meeting your expectations but what's the difference? Anything will taste good as long as you know how to cook it" I replied, as I saw him start fuming but weirdly he cooled down in an instant.
"You know what just go. Find Gyomei or something I'll handle this" He sighed, while I thanked him.
"You know, I can see you trying to change. I've felt the same way, but yeah I'll help the others. And thank you for agreeing with the others and for taking my apology" Is what I said, while I heard him snicker as a reply.
"Just mind your own damn business! And don't think that I've forgiven you yet you damn expressionless freak!" I heard him rebutt, while I just smiled back.
"Thank you Sanemi-san, Really" I reply, as I went over to check the others as he instructed.
As I walked over to see if Gyomei was doing anything I took a glimpse over the women who were all chattering to each other.
I noticed a pair of eyes looking at me, and as we locked eyes it was nothing but short-lived bliss.
Her kind eyes still somewhat hypnotized me, like and addicting drug just ruining my sense of reality.
It was short but subtle, but it still sparked every memory past nor present.
It was like we were only patrolling the Mountains the other day, just like any other day in the Corp.
The cool thin air breezing over our skins as we stayed vigilant of a sudden ambush.
Now here we are in the modern world, Buildings literally littering everywhere as not even a single sign of the very entities we were tasked to kill.
But if I remember correctly that one demon was still alive, Yushiro was it? I heard he was a painter now.
I saw some of the art he created, all about that lady Shinobu was cooped up with in her lab, Tamayo was it? I saw a glimpse of her at the fight but I was told she died in the battle.
I heard Yushiro loved her a lot for saving him and all, it's devastating to see the death of someone you deeply love.
Believe me I know, cause I've lived a lot of lifetimes......
I hope the guy is fine, I felt the everlasting torment he's feeling right now a lot throughout my lives but considering he is immortal by all means it just puts more salt to the wound.
I've never seen him for a long time, ironically the first time I met him was my last.
But anyways I was approaching Gyomei who was with Kyotuki, both were looking over at the teens who were still swimming even though it's such a breezy night.
"Hey Gyomei and hello to you to Kyotuki, Anything I can help with you guys this night?" I asked the 2 who were talking near the shore, with both looking at me in surprise.
I seemed to have startled the pair, because their blushing cheeks are not helping them with the case.
It took a few minutes for them to stutter before actually replying as they apologized for the mishap.
I've asked them what got them so jumpy and they told me something that really just stunned me.
Apparently there's some great news and they are gonna tell us soon but I'll have to keep it from the others for now.
"So, what was the news you were talking about?" I asked in curiosity, with Gyomei giving the reply.
"We were talking about getting engaged, we'd been together for quite some time now and we've been talking about it" he thoroughly explains, with an embarrassed look in his face.
"Oh, I should congratulate you both but I'm just so surprised. But besides that wonderful news anything I can help?" I asked, still pretty surprised and happy for the two.
"It's okay, relax for now Giyu. You need it" Gyomei replied, smiling sincerely with me nodding and giving a smile back as a response.
And with that I decided to walk along the shoreline for a while, feeling the cooling breeze as I tried to listen something to the soothing shore.
As a song played in my mind, trying to let the pain out with a heartfelt scream.

As the music played in his head he felt a sudden presence that made him shiver, a familiar feeling was brought through his body like a sudden shock.
He looked around him, stopping from his leisurely walk.
He looked and looked with nothing but anxiety piling in his head, as his rate of breathing increased rapidly.
He felt like he was losing his mind, as his head swung around looking for the visage he knew he saw.
But something else triggered, an irresistible smell of Lavender and Wisteria surrounded him all of a sudden. The feeling of nostalgia that he longed for but somehow feared.
And somehow he was right...........
He couldn't do anything but clutch his hair as he internally screamed...........
Narrator's POV
Here he was standing around the border of the shore, without a sign of movement. Like a magnificent marble statue.
His brain was filled to the brim with sudden thoughts that stopped him from any locomotion.
He didn't even know that there's someone already behind him, already approaching the tall man.
A sudden cold grasp was felt over his shoulder, breaking his trance to the point that he almost instinctively punched that someone but he luckily stopped at the right moment.
What he actually saw actually made him snap back to reality even more.
The face of someone that was dear to him.
The exasperated face of Shinobu Kochou was seen, standing in shock as Giyu's fist was still inches away from her face while his other hand still grasped her shoulder.
Instantaneously Giyu retracts his hands and let's the smaller woman free from his grasps, while she instantly backs from him thinking that he purposely wanted to hurt her.
"I-I'm... Shinobu I didn't... I wasn't..... I was only.... S-Sorry......" He stuttered to explain the situation, with Shinobu still looking at him with the same eyes of shock.
A strong silence still lingered around them for a while before Shinobu started to ask why did he suddenly try to her.
"W-Were you gonna h-hit me?" She asked, still shook from the sudden encounter.
"N-No... I didn't mean too..... It was on instinct... I didn't mean it....." He replied, embarrassed from his sudden action.
"I-It's fine.... But what are you doing here alone?" She asked, asking why he was walking all alone.
"I was only going out for a walk, I was trying to compose my thoughts for a bit" He replies, explaining his reason for walking around here out of anyone's sight.
"I see... I'll be going back I guess...." She spoke, turning around back towards the camp. Before Giyu stopped her by grabbing her hands.
"Why did you come here then? There must be a reason for you going out here too" He asked, Shinobu trying to think of an alibi to avoid the question.
"I-I only stumbled here, plus the air is nice" She replies/lied, looking away from him.
"Oh, I see. I guess that answers it" He stated, even though he knew she was lying somehow.
He could only look as Shinobu ran back to the camp, with Umi meeting her mother with a huge hug.
Giyu could only smile, feeling that Shinobu somehow still cares for him.
He looks over the shore, looking at the moon shining over the reflecting waters of the cold ocean.
He just sat there for a few minutes, a smile just plastered in his face without him knowing that the night was only gonna get crazier.
Tsutako's POV
We just arrived here, Kaito could only carry our things with Makato holding my hand.
We were about to descend on the small hill, when we saw someone who was approaching us.
It was someone quite tall, probably one of the guys.
The light eventually showed the person's face and I just couldn't help myself but hug him.
"Sabito!" I called out, hugging the life out of him as he tries to hug back.
"T-Tsutako Sis! I-I can't breathe!" I hear him plead but I could only hug him harder.
"Sabito where's Giyu! Tell Me!" I screamed at his ears, pleading for my little brother's whereabouts.
"He's here! Please no moorreeee!" He pleaded more, but I still insisted on hugging him because he's already a brother to me.
"Tsutako just let the kid go, I think you're gonna kill him" I hear Kaito speak, looking at us before I finally let go.
I really hope Giyu is fine I can't wait to see my little brother!
