BONUS CHAPTER: Tales of Amy and Marri- MALLOWMELT!
This room was so hot and stuffy! I blushed, trying to put as much space between me and this beautiful mystery girl as possible. Part of me wanted to get closer, and I hate that part of me. I can't be in love, can I? I can't be bisexual, can I?
-*:__________________________________:*- (New line XD)
So, basically, Sophie wanted Mallowmelt, and she chose the worst person to get it for her. That pretty much sums up the story!
Oh, wait...
You want context to the scene above...
WHY DO YOU READERS ALWAYS CHOOSE THE MOST PRIVATE SCENES TO READ ABOUT!?!
Like, we have lives, too! Just wait until someone writes a book about your lives. I'd definitely read it!
Y'know, let's just get this over with...
When pretty much everyone hates your big sis, help is hard to find. But luckily, I had-
"RoMhilDa-" I shout, my lips only a millimeter away from the imparter screen. "When will you learn, AmEliA? I don't like the name Romhilda!" She sassed, putting her lips equally as close to her imparter, but her ogre voice made the sound a million times louder.
I rubbed my ears. "Okay, fine, whatever you say, princess. But where did you even get Amelia? My name is Amy!" She shrugged off the question, examining her nails. "Get to the point." She insisted.
"Do one of your fancy ogre tricks and get me some Mallowmelt." She looked at me with a look that said, 'isn't she the cutest'. "Hunny, we don't do any fancy elf-y tricks. Ask Blondie's old mommy." Ugh, Ro is the worst.
"You may not be able to get me some Mallowmelt, but you'll help me find some!" She rolled her eyes and smirked. "Sure, sure, good chance to see my bestie! Now, how's Funkyhair?" I pulled out my phone and began dialing Irena. "He's still alive, miraculously." Ro spoke again, but I was focused on the voice in my ear.
"Heyy, Amy! What's up?" She chirped. "Hi Irena! Do you know if your dad has any leaping crystals and nexuses to spare?" She said she'd ask, and that I should come over.
Me and Ro had some back and forth conversation on the way, and everything was going ok until this taxi that was moving at light speed stopped Infront of these teens. I quickly crossed the street to warn them.
"Hey! Stop" I called, waving to them. They stopped. "Can we... Help you?" The girl asked. She was very pretty, her grey eyes and blonde hair reflecting the sunlight, but the green eyed boy with the black hair was obviously her boyfriend. NOT THAT I CARED!
"Um, yes. Did you even see how fast this taxi was going? I'm trying to warn you, this thing does not look safe! It's probably broken a million laws!" Then again, the two looked like they weren't safe here. Their bodies had lots of scrapes and bruises, their clothes torn. The girl also held a... DAGGER!?!
I slowly pointed at it, backing away, but something was blocking my path... I looked up quickly to see a large monster towering above me. And then I screamed, squeezing my eyes shut.
A second later, the monster was gone, replaced by a pile of dust behind me. The people that were just there were gone, the only sign of them ever being here was the blood on the sidewalk Infront of me.
"What just happened? Amy, are you ok?" Ro asked. I forgot she was here. I nodded slowly, but kept silent, running as fast as I could to Irena's house.
~<------------------------------------------------>~
"So... Why exactly do you need these...?" Irena's dad asked, handing me a pathfinder and 3 nexuses. "Well, you see, Sophie is in a bad place right now, and I sorta, kinda, maybe, possibly promised her Mallowmelt...?" I replied, stuffing two of the nexuses into my bad and clamping the other on my wrist.
He held his hands up in understanding and gave me his treasury cube. "Alright. I won't argue as long as you bring some back for us," he winked and I nodded, grinning. "Go on, now." He showed me the facet going to Ravagog, Here, and Candleshade. "You can use the leapmaster there," he said.
Eventually, we got everything sorted out and I was on my way.
First stop: Ravagog...
Sophie told me many stories about the cold city of Ravagog, but I always thought that she was exaggerating. I couldn't see much of the city, but based on the aura that the gates give off, I can imagine the rest pretty well.
"Aymsjsks,w,slls,smsmd?" A husky voice spoke in a foreign language from down the river, and stomping sounds followed the words. They were getting closer, and closer, and-
"Jejndjsiaks,dmmdmdmdkd!" An ugly creature that could only be labeled as an ogre stepped Infront of me, towering over and staring into my eyes. After analyzing, me or whatever, he grabbed me by the hair, taking me into the city.
Pain shot throughout my head, but I was too scared to sightsee. I came back to my senses when he dropped me into a foul smelling jail cell. "King Dimitar will decide your fate." He grumbled, and I could finally understand him.
He rid me of my belongings and locked the door.
~<---------------------------------------------->~
It had been around 2 hours, and I was getting ready to give up hope, but I heard the familiar sound of the princess's voice, which I could only hope was here to save me, not fulfill death orders.
"Get out!" She ordered me, bending open the bars. I complied. And then we were walking. "I can't believe those IDIOTS!" She emphasized the last word and the guards paled. She brought me into a huge room with a ring in the middle and a weaponed wall.
Ro noticed me looking curious. "This is the legendary room where a scrawny elf beat my dad in a spar. I think you were in that underwater city the elves have. I'm surprised this room is still here." She answered, smoothing her bright orange hair.
"Who was the elf?" I asked, suddenly conscious of my probably horrible bird's nest on my head. That was something me and Sophie had in common, sadly. "None other than Sir Sulks-a-lot. I bet he's sulking right now in his coma, obsessing over his and Blondie's match status."
I can could only relax when we were safely outside of the city, breathing out a sigh of relief. "Where to now?" She asked, taking the two nexuses I handed to her. "Candleshade." I put on my own nexus and found the facet we needed, stepping into the light.
~<---------------------------------------------------->~
The huge tower loomed over us in a threatening way, practically daring us to come in. The harsh and cold air surrounding it made it tempting to cower away and hide. Of course, I didn't do that.
Suddenly, the doors swung open to show a cold and immaculate looking man who could only be the owner of this skyscraper. That meant he was also Keefe's dad.
"Oh look, it's Lord Annoying-Pants! Just let us through so we don't have to have this conversation." Ro said, starting to walk towards the door.
The guy moved out and shut them. "Hello to you too, Princess. I will let you through, but I'd like my questions answered." He spoke. Ro frowned, and after a moment, started walking backwards. "Alright, we'll lea-"
"We'll answer your questions." I interrupted, shoving Ro forward and walking towards the man.
"Oh, I forgot! You aren't going to introduce me to the mortal? Oh, alright." He turned to face me. "My name is Lord Cassius, and you?" He asked, sort of nicely. Something tells me telling him my name is not something I have a choice on. "Amy." I replied bleakly.
"Alright, Amy. My first question: what are you doing at my house?" He asked, crossing his arms. I looked up to examine the place. "It's not really a house- whatever. We came to use the leapmaster." I answered.
"Ok, you may, but I'm not done. Second question: What do you plan to do here in the Lost Cities?"
"Get Mallowmelt." I replied.
That satisfied him. "Last question: Where is my son?" He asked that question in a harsh tone, one that I did not like, and I was about to tell him that by saying 'nunya', but Ro interrupted me.
"You don't get to act like you care about him," she said sassily, I wondered why. "Well, I don't, but he's still my son. You will tell me, or else-" before he could finish, Ro dashed forward, picking me up in a fireman carry and taking me to the leapmaster.
"Mysterium!" I shouted, dragging Ro into the light with me.
~<------------------------------------------->~
The first thing I started to hear were screams. Cries of 'Ogre', 'monster', and more that I shouldn't name were flooding my poor human ears. I opened my eyes and saw people running. I looked back towards Ro.
We weren't the only things to be running from. Behind us, there were an army of weird creatures that weren't Goblins, so they could only be trolls. When Ro looked back at them, confirming my suspicion. And then we ran.
I was running ahead of Ro, so people probably assumed I was running from her, too.
We had gained some space between us, and I was running next to the windows of the shops. I eventually reached an alleyway sealed off with a gate. It wasn't that important to me then, and I didn't even notice it until a pair of arms opened the door and pulled me in.
Our warm breath filled up the small, dark space. And my body was pressed up against another! I blushed, grateful for the darkness concealing my face.
We sat there in silence for a moment, until the prettiest voice I've ever heard spoke next to my ear in a whisper. "Are you ok?" The voice said. I could finally identify this person as a girl. "I can turn on a light, but it might attract the ogre." She said.
"N-no, it's fine, turn it on. The ogre is my friend." I assured, and she turned on the light.
I could finally see this girl. She had sun-kissed skin and wavy dark hair that collaborated with her deep blue eyes perfectly. She smiled, and even though it was small, I could see dimples.
"Friends with an ogre? That's so coo-" she paused mid sentence, pointing at my eyes. "You're human?" She asked, a little afraid. I looked away, blushing. "Yeah..."
We sat there in silence for a moment before I risked a glance at her. Her eyes were shining, and her smile got bigger than before. "That's AMAZHANG!! First, I see an ogre, then I meet someone who's friends with that ogre, and now it turns out you're human? Best day ever!" She exclaimed, jumping a little.
I didn't want to ruin her day by telling her about the trolls outside. She'd figure out herself. I smile a little.
That brings me to that scene from above that you wanted soo much to know about.
We both hugged the walls, blushing from what we both know isn't the heat of the stuffy room. Our eyes shyed away from eachother for a moment, and she decided to look outside the peephole.
"Empty. C'mon, let's get out of here." I was hesitant at first -- Don't ask why, cause I dunno -- but I eventually stepped out of the room into the sunshine.
She did, too. She looked even prettier with the sun reflecting off of her shiny hair. It was more awkwardness for a moment. "So, what's your name?" I asked eventually. "Marriena, you?" "Amy." I replied.
"Nice name!" She perked up a little. "You, too!" I chirped back. The screams and little streaks of red in the distance brought us out of our daze. "We have to help them!" I shouted, and I began running towards the chaos.
"Wait! Amy! I'm not allowed to go there! Please, come back!" She called after me, a sob escaping her throat. She fell down onto her knees and screamed. I kept running.
Oh my gosh! Writing that was like running a marathon! 2038 words, all typed by my exhausted hands! Thanks for 4k everyone! Pt. 2 at 5k!
I hope you enjoyed!
