Chapter 11 (Amy)

“And there's glitter on the floor.  And they turn me on. When they take it off. When they take it off.  Everybody take it off.”  I sang aloud with Kesha blaring from my radio while touching up my favorite lip gloss.  Thoughts of my favorite Mr. Hunky Chocolate Brown Eyes entered my head while I danced around shamelessly in my room.

“Ahem, let’s keep it on, keep it on, keep it on for the sake of my own sanity,” my brother sang back to me while smirking and leaning against my bedroom door.

“Agh” I screamed and jumped about ten feet high.  I hate it when he does that.  I walked over to my stereo and turned down the volume.  Turning around I cocked my hands on my hips and glared at him.

“You scared the shit out of me bro,” I told him while lifting my hand to my chest and willing my heart beat to slow.  He laughed at me and straightened his stance.

“You got any plans today?” he asked more serious now.  I walked over to my bed and collapsed on my back.  My feet dangled perilously just above the floor.

“Stevie is coming by to take me for a ride on the back of his Harley,” I said dreamily while clutching a pillow to my chest.

“Oh, God, kill me now with the lovey dovey shit.  It’s sickening you know,” my brother whined.

I laughed at his reaction.  This last week has been the absolute best week of my life.  Stevie has been the sweetest mate and my family has taken to him like a duck does to water.  Zach puts up with him; they’re not the best of friends but at least they aren’t at each other throats anymore.

“Well when you find your ma-” and then I slapped my hand over my mouth before I could finish the sentence.  I sat up and looked at my brother.  His face had drawn up with anger and I mentally smacked myself in the head for that comment.

“Zach, I’m so, so sorry,” I whispered while looking at the scrunched up pillow in my lap.

“It’s nothing, Amy,” he bit out curtly.

“But-” I started to say when the door bell rang interrupting our conversation.

“Amy, I said don’t worry about it,” he repeated.  His smile reappeared and I could tell that it was only painted on.  His mate denying him had really done a number on him and it broke my heart to see him this way.

“Come on, where’s my love,” he asked while pointing to his cheek.  I walked up to him and lifted on my toes pecking his cheek.

“Behave yourself,” he warned while I jogged down the steps to answer the door.

“Always,” I called out to him.

A giddiness bubbled in my belly knowing that my Mr. Hunky Chocolate Brown Eyes was standing on the other side of the door.  Just before I lifted my hand to the door knob the bell rang out again.

“Impatient much,” I mumbled under my breath.

I opened the door with a huge smile on my face ready to launch myself into the arms of my mate when to my dismay, Miss Easy A as Liza likes to call her, was standing in his place.   Once the reality of the situation sunk in I looked up to a smirking poor excuse of a Barbie Doll imitation and crossed my hands over my chest.

“What are you doing here?” I sneered.  I wanted it clear to her that she was not welcome on my doorstep.  Liza told me about the play she made for my Mr. Hunky Chocolate Brown Eyes and I was not the least bit happy about it either.

“Is Zachie pooh here?” she said with that screeching wine in her voice.

I brought my hands up to cover my ears.  “IIgggg,” I shuddered.  How does she make that noise come out of that overly botoxed mouth of hers?

“Maybe,” I answered.  “What’s it to you?” I asked her accusingly.  She smiled and she really shouldn’t have.  She looked like the joker from the last Batman movie with all that make up on her face.  Can we all say together, UN-AT-TRACT-IVE?

“We have a date,” she said way to chipper for my taste.  I shuffled my feet while narrowing my gaze on her.

“You’re kidding me, right?”  I said with distaste dripping in my tone.

She smacked her lips and flipped her dyed blonde hair back over her shoulder.  She stuck her hip out and all of the niceties were gone out the door.

“Just get your brother, will ya?” she pushed.  I heard footsteps come in from behind me and turned around to see Zach standing behind me smiling like a leper.

I held my finger up to her.  “One minute,” I barked out and slammed the door in her face.  Damn, that felt good.  I turned around to face my brother and his smile curved down into a frown.

“What the hell was that Amy?” he asked.

I closed my eyes and prayed to the moon goddess for patience because I was about to wrap my hands around someone, preferably the bimbo on my porch, and strangle them.

“Please tell me that she’s lying Zach.  You are not about to go on a date with Miss Easy A, are you?” I asked suspiciously.

“Well, not that it is any of your business, but yeah.  That’s my plan,” he said while pushing me out of the way.

“Wait,” I called out and grabbed a hold of his arm.   “What about Marissa?” I said pleadingly.  I watched him close his eyes and blow out a deep breath.

“Amy, I told you that she rejected me.  It’s over.  Get that through that thick skull of yours, alright?”  He was talking in a much gentler tone now.  He sounded defeated, tired.

“I am a hormonal teenage wolf with certain needs and if she,” he pointed to the front door, “is willing to spread her legs, then who am I to turn it down.”

I scrunched my nose at the mere thought of that particular image.

“TMI on the visual,” I mumbled.  Zach wrapped his arms around me and brought me into a bone crushing hug.

“Thanks for worrying about me little sister, but you don’t have to okay?  I’ll be alright,” he said while pressing a kiss to the top of my head.

“Alright,” I sighed in resignation.  “Just be sure you use protection because that skank out there just may give you something that Clorox can’t take care of.”  I heard his rumbling laughter as it vibrated against my chest.

He reached over me to open the door and there she was, still standing in the same place that we left her.  I groaned in disgust when I heard the roar of my man’s Harley coming up the street.

All issues with my brother and Miss Easy A were put way to the side.  I roughly pushed by Skank and rushed to the driveway to meet my Mr. Hunky Chocolate Brown Eyes.

“Be careful,” I heard my brother warn me again as he stood on the porch watching me and Steven.  I believe I even caught him looking at Steven and pointing his fingers from his own two eyes and then back to Steven.  Symbolizing, ‘I’m watching you.’

“Boys,” I muttered as Steven hopped off his bike and took the helmet off his head.  He wrapped me in his arms and the simmering fires ratcheted up a notch.   He brought his lips to mine and I felt heaven bound.  His scent, his taste, the feel of his strong arms around me successfully turned me into a blubbering idiot around him.

“Knock that shit off,” I heard my brother call from the steps again.  Steven pulled his lips from mine and I sighed.  I looked over to my brother and glared at him.  He just basically told me he was going to have sex with hoe bag and he’s going to bitch at me for kissing my mate.  He has some nerve.  I did the first thing that comes natural between a sister and brother.  I stuck my tongue out at him.

Steven pushed into my mind, “I know of some better places for you to put that tongue of yours Princess.”

I looked back at him and shook my head before chuckling at him.  He leaned down and brushed a gentle kiss across my lips.

            “Ready?” he whispered.

“Hells yeah,” I responded, eager to ride.

“Here.”  He held a helmet over my head and pushed it down.  Then he held out a riding jacket for me to stick my arms into.  Once I was clothed properly he held me out at arms length and appraised me.

“My little hell’s angel,” he replied with a smile.  I returned his smile, not sure that he could see it through the tinted shield of my helmet.  I watched him put his helmet on and throw his hand up in a half wave to my brother.

He walked over to the bike and straddled it like a pro.  All that rippling muscle looked so damn sexy, especially being enhanced by the tight t-shirt and jacket that he was wearing.  I licked my lips in anticipation of wrapping my arms around that gorgeous body.

He turned around and held his arm out to me.  I took it without hesitation.  He pulled me on behind him and I held on to the Greek God sitting in front of me.  He kick started the bike and waves of pleasure rippled through me.  I was surrounded by pure raw power.  It vibrated under me and hummed in front of me.

He slowly backed the bike out of the driveway when I heard his sensual voice come through a speaker in the helmet I was wearing.

“Hold on tight, Princess.  You’re in for the rise of your life,” he said with laughter in his voice.  I squeezed my arms tighter around his midsection and leaned my head against his back.

“Take me baby, take me to the stars,” I called out into the helmet.  His laughter so genial still resounded through the speaker.

“The stars it is, Princess,” he said as he hit the gas and took flying off down the road.

Now this is perfect I thought to myself.  The wind running through my hair, my mate wrapped in my arms, nothing in front of us but miles of road and distance.  Can it get any better than this?

Some time had passed when I heard his voice in my helmet again.  I’m not sure exactly how much time because I was totally blissed out with the most incredible ride of my life.

“How you doing, Princess?” he asked.

“Good, perfect, absolutely awesome,” I answered honestly.

“We’re going to pull off just around the bend for a bit and have some lunch.  Is that okay with you?" my Mr. Hunky Chocolate brown eyes asked.

“That works,” I called back to him.

We drove just a few more minutes up the road before he pulled off and cut the ignition.  He hopped off the bike first before helping me to dismount.  It was a good thing that he was there because I had not realized how stiff I had become from riding the bike.  I actually stumbled some once my feet hit solid ground.  My Mr. Hunky Chocolate Brown Eyes was there and he held me up so that my backside didn’t find the ground.

“You got it, Princess?” he asked in a concerned tone.  I nodded my head.

“That was un-freaking believable,” I called out to him while he lifted a couple of brown bags and a blanket from the basket that was settled on the rear of the bike.

“Good, I’m glad you liked it,” he said with a smile while grabbing my hand and pulling me off to some shade just under the tree line.

I stood and watched him while he laid out the blanket and methodically laid out different containers with food in them.  I was impressed with his spread.  It looked like there was ham and cheese sandwiches, pickles, chips, maybe a potato salad and some type of fruit cobbler.  I couldn’t really tell from where I was standing.  He held his hand out to me and I joined him on the blanket.  I watched him as he fixed me a plate.

I knew what he was planning to do.   It was a typical for male wolves to hand feed their femme wolves as a symbol of providing for their mate.  He looked up at me and showed those pearly white teeth.  I smiled in return.  He spooned a bite of potato salad and held it up to my mouth.  I opened and let him put the spoon of food into my mouth.  Once I closed my mouth he leaned in and placed an innocent kiss on my lips.  We repeated this process until my plate was completely empty.  I could see the pride in his face and was glad that I was the one who helped to put it there.

He packed up all the containers and motioned for me to go sit in his lap.  I gladly went and settled in comfortably.  He twiddled with locks of my hair as we just sat there in silence letting the sun bathe us in its warmth for some time.  We just enjoyed being alone together.

After some time, he reached in his pocket and pulled out a little box.  He held it out to me without speaking a word.

            “What’s this?” I asked.

“Just a little something I wanted to give you,” he said almost bashfully and looking down into my lap.

“Just a little something,” I muttered while taking the box from his hand.  I looked back up at him and he was seriously playing out this bashful routine.  I held the box in my hands, eyeing in carefully before opening it.

“Open it, already,” I heard Stevie’s impatient voice push into my head.  I glanced back at him, but he was still looking down.  I opened the box and gasped.  It was the most beautiful bracelet that I hade ever seen.  It was gold trimmed in emeralds.  There was a small wolf figurine dangling from it.

“Wow, Stevie.  This is, this is amazing,” I drawled out while still admiring the exquisite craftsmanship of the piece.

“You like it?” I heard him speak softly in my mind.

“Like it, I absolutely freaking love it!” I squealed while wrapping my arms around his neck.

“Can I put it on you?” he asked, his tone still solemn.

“Yes, yes,” I said excitedly.  He took the bracelet from my hands and hooked it around my wrist.  He held my hand while admiring the bracelet.

“This belonged to my mother.  It has been passed down from generation to generation.  Hopefully some day, you will pass it on to our oldest child.”  I watched him in awe as he played with my wrist and traced my fingers.

“Since we promised our parents that we wouldn’t bond until after graduation I wanted you to have something to wear signifying my mark.  It’s nowhere near as good as the real thing, but I thought it was a fitting replacement.”

I cupped his cheek in my hand and pulled his face to mine so that our eyes were locked onto each other.  I leaned in to him until our lips were just a breath apart.

“It’s perfect, Steven.  Absolutely perfect,” I whispered just before I brought my lips crashing into his.  I tangled my hand in his hair and melted my body into his.  Our lips moved in perfect synch together while we tasted and savored each other.  This is where I wanted to be for the rest of my life.  This man in my arms is my heart, my soul, he is my everything.
