"jin jin jin jin jin-"

"aish! what do you want you brat?" jin yelled, raising his eyebrow and the corner of his lips at jungkook, who had been chanting his name while messing his hair up.

"your attention," jungkook said. "hyung wasn't paying enough attention to me."

"aish! there are six of you clinging to me, of course i can't always pay attention to you!"

jungkook's eyes widened and glistened like he was trying not to cry, but jin knew he was faking it. "but i'm the golden maknae, the world is supposed to revolve around me..."

"aish! this kid!!"

"is jungkookie bothering you again, hyung?" jimin asked, coming into the room and giggling when he saw jin's hair sticking up. "well, it's my turn to play with jin now, your time is up. so shoo."

jungkook stuck his tongue out. "no fair! i only got an hour! that's not enough!"

"we all only get an hour of alone time with jin per day! so stop being a selfish child and hand hyung over!"

"no, i don't want to!"

jin sighed, standing up and patting jungkook on the head. "it's okay, jungkookie. i'll play with everyone later and i'll spend time with you tomorrow, okay?"

jungkook looked down, frowning. "all right, hyung."

"okay? promise me that you're okay."

jungkook looked up. "okay, i'm fine, i promise as long as you promise to play with me tomorrow."

jin smiled, nodding. "i promise i'll play with you tomorrow, okay? why are you so worried?"

"because what if you don't want to be here tomorrow?" jungkook asked. "what if you want to leave?"

jin laughed. "leave? why would i want to leave? where would i even go? you guys are my home. i'll be with you guys forever."

"promise, hyung?"

"promise? why do i have to promise? i just told you-"

"it's important, hyung. i need you to promise me that you won't leave, not for anything. you have to play with me forever, hyung. you can't abandon me."

jin tilted his head, confused. "i won't abandon you."

"promise me, hyung. i need to hear you promise it."

"he promises, okay?" jimin said, latching on to jin's arm. "now stop stalling! i only have 57 minutes left!"

jungkook stuck out his tongue while jimin laughed, taking jin with him to play mario.

jin felt weird, though. he hadn't actually promised, but why was jungkook so fixated on it? why did they think he was going to leave? they didn't think he was going to leave on a solo career, did they? he'd gotten dozens of offers, but he'd said time and time again that he would only perform as bts' jin, not as kim seokjin, solo artist.

"you know i'll always be here with you guys, right?" jin asked, and jimin turned to give him a sweet smile.

"i know, hyung. you love us the most."

jin smiled. "yep."

"and we love you the most, hyung. so you can't leave."

jin laughed, rolling his eyes. "you too? relax. i'm not going anywhere."

jimin smiled. "good." then he grabbed the controllers and handed one to jin. "i call mario!"

"ah, no, wait! i wanted to be mario!"

"it's okay, hyung, look."

every character option was mario. they all looked the same.

jin smiled and chose one of them.

home truly was the best.

why would he ever leave?

he kept his eyes on the screen.
